Just wanted to draw attention to this, but renowned Palestinian musician Ramzi Aburedwan's first record with the Dal'Ouna ensemble, Oyoun Al Kalam has been made digitally available on multiple digital and streaming platforms (spotify, apple music, youtube) !! It's an absolutely beautiful album featuring the voices of Oday Al-Khatib and Noura Madi who were refugee students part of Aburedwan's music school. I cannot overstate how amazing and impactful their singing and vocalization sounds against the beautiful landscape of Aburdewan and Co's instrumentation. I'd also recommend listening to his most acclaimed album Reflections of Palestine while you're at it.

I have seen posts on Palestine get thousands on thousands of notes. If each person who engaged with them donated one dollar—literally just one; no more, no less—thousands of dollars would be raised to humanitarian aid in Gaza just like that. I understand there’s the whole bystander effect going on. People are probably like “Well there’s likely someone out there donating right now, so they can probably do without my one puny dollar” wrong. One dollar makes a huge difference. Any amount you can afford can make a huge difference.
I’m not going to say every single person on here can afford to give up a dollar, because that’s absolutely insensitive to people’s individual situations—but if you can, please donate. So many of us on here aren’t swimming in money, but we still make it a point to donate, regardless of how little or how big a sum it is. I promise it adds up.
The PCRF could use every last penny. Don’t be a bystander in a world of bystanders. It matters.

Here’s a link to support Abdul Rahman Batah, also known by nickname “Abood,” rebuild his life after the constant merciless bombing. He’s one of the youngest journalists reporting on Gaza, known for his bright smile while reporting, despite devastating circumstances.
Here’s one of his videos, which he posted earlier this year on his Instagram. I’ve transcribed it in both Arabic and English.
Arabic transcription:
"إخوتي وأخواتي الكرام عدنا لكم من جديد من هنا من أرض الشمال نخبركم عن أخر التطورات في البلاد. معكم عبود ولنبدأ حلقتنا اليوم نحن في منطقة المشروع بيت لاهيا هذا. دمروا قوات الاحتلال بالقصف بالحزام الناري على شمال القطاع. يعني نحن شهر واحد…وجاي علينا شهر مطر"
English translation of transcription:
“My dear brothers and sisters, we are back to you again from here from the North, telling you about the latest developments in the country. Here with you, I’m Abood, and let us begin our episode today. We are in the area of the Beit Lahia project. The occupation forces have destroyed it by bombing the northern Gaza Strip with a fire belt. I mean, it’s only January! A rainy month is coming.”
And here is his story below (read his GoFundMe):
“Hello, I'm Abdul Rahman Batah "Abood", I live in a small neighborhood in Jabalia Camp in northern Gaza, known as the "Youngest Journalist in the World."
I used to live in a house filled with love and hope, until the recent war came and destroyed everything. Our house, which my father built with great effort, was completely destroyed. We lost not only our home, but also our source of livelihood, our cultivated land, our only car, and even my small project that I relied on to make a living, which was a hot drinks selling business.
‏Our house was not just a house, but a residential building for the family consisting of 4 floors, accommodating more than 30 people. Each floor housed family members and filled them with warmth and love.
‏Those days were filled with pain and sorrow, but I decided not to give in to despair. Instead, I decided to share with people in northern Gaza by filming funny videos about the destruction, but behind the smile, my heart was sad for all that we lost.
‏But I didn't give up, I wanted to rebuild anew, with your support and solidarity. I launched this campaign to regain hope for myself and my family. Let's rebuild our house, replant our land, buy a new car to regain our freedom of movement, and rebuild my small project to sell hot drinks to live with dignity and earn my livelihood.
‏Please, join me in this journey, as every drop of contribution renews hope in my heart and brings life back to my shattered land. Contribute whatever you can, and share the story so we can reach our goal together."
