Wow wow wow, what a year!

The reception to Trip during and since it's UK premiere at Doc N' Roll's 2022 nationwide festival has been beyond anything I was expecting and hoping for, for such a low budget first time, very DIY documentary. With several sold out screenings in the UK and Germany, numerous film festival selections in Europe and the Middle East under our belt and I hope, more to come in the US and beyond in 2024.

For those that have been asking, an online distribution deal is in negotiation, meaning that at some point TRIP will be available to watch online Worldwide, but you'll have to hold tight for more info on that at just a bit longer..

About the process of making the video, Lilly says: “On hearing 'Not Even Jesus' for the first time it implanted itself deep inside my brain and not long after apparitions of daily mundanity flickered into view, soundtracked by this simple but incredibly catchy song. Hákon and I dreamt up scenes over our kitchen table during the Winter lockdown, as many of the Third Sound's videos already have a strong Berlin vibe about them, we wanted to go for something different with this one and decided it had to have a very English feel, perhaps because it is where I am from and also because of current political affairs, but we also set out to make it a  humorous take on the gritty day to day of humanity rather than make a bleak or heavy political statement. I cast a few friends and family for the video and the rest is captured in true documentary style mostly in England over the Summer, but with a nod to Iceland and Colombia where we have also spent time this year.”
