Kyle's face scrunches up — and in the matter of seconds, his stylus is abandoned on his desk as he reaches over to ( try to ) boop Donna right back.

He's a little short and slow for that — still seated that he was — and fingertips manage to graze over her chin instead.

Green Lantern (1990) #94

Kyle encouraging Kon to try something new, to draw, to be artistic was really such a revealing part of Kon's character and his own inner struggles with his identity being so overwhelmingly Superboy. There's a lot about Kon that Kyle just doesn't get in this issue (such as WHY he's so impatient which is another heavy bag of issues), but he does try to connect with Kon in ways that not a lot of people did in his solo.

Kon continues to draw even after he was dramatic about it at first - there's more weight behind this scene but I'd like to think he continues art and doing something that he wasn't programmed immediately to do.

One thing I love about the interactions that Kyle and Kon had was, they made it very apparent who the true himbo was between the two of them.

Like he's just so dumb, I love him.

"Think fast, pretty boy!" there is a kiss being placed on his cheek and then his girlfriend is gone from his side again almost as quickly as she had appeared there, giggling to herself about her 'win' as she sits back down in her corner of the room, all innocently [donna missed her bf ok]

By the time Kyle registered that Donna had even started speaking, she'd already pulled his face to the side, her hands warm and soft against his skin.

His stylus fell abandoned onto his desk, rolling until it came to a stop against his half-charged headset ( that he had abandoned when Donna came over ).

"Hey—" he starts, standing up so quickly that he nearly trips on his stool, stumbling halfway across the floor of his apartment until he gives up on maintaining his balance and falls into Donna's outstretched arms, joining her on the ratty couch that he calls his own. "I thought you were gonna let me finish my commissions today."

Not that he minded. He could pull another all-nighter if it meant he'd make rent this week and get to spend time with Donna.
