Married at First Sight - Day 20
On the final day, everyone got dressed up in their best outfits (...by randomly generated sims standards, at least…) ready for Briella and Melany’s big day. Riley and Venkat were sad that the experiment was coming to an end but glad that they had found each other.
Seeing her brother Floyd, Melany started to freak out about whether her mother was going to make an appearance. Floyd explained that he had had an argument with her that morning as he was leaving, and that she had no intention of being seen anywhere near the ceremony. Melany seemed to find this at least a little reassuring.
Just before he got changed, Julian took one last look at the portrait he had painted of Lauryn, feeling pretty good about yesterday’s decision to ask her to be his girlfriend and even better about her saying yes!
After getting dressed Julian went to find Lauryn, who was very impressed with how well he scrubbed up!
Following several days of talking, Chesney and Cory seemed to have run out of things to say to each other, and decided instead to sit in silence drinking at the open bar. Super-healthy coping there, folks.
After a bit of dutch courage Cory sat Chesney down and explained that he had reached a final decision on their relationship…
He told Chesney he liked her, and that he thought she would make someone a great wife, but that that someone was not him. He hoped that they could still be friends…
This did not go down well! Chesney started listing off everything she had done over the past five weeks to try to get close to Cory, and all the times he had pushed her away…

After her rant, though, Chesney seemed a lot calmer. She had reached the same conclusion about the future of her relationship with Cory and wanted to leave things on amicable terms.
Drama with other contestants out of the way, it was finally time for Briella and Melany to get married!
With the ceremony out of the way, the guests headed inside to eat and relax. It seems Briella cannot take her eyes off her bride!
Sorry, did I say the drama with the other contestants was over? Well, it turns out Lauryn had one more surprise in store for the film crew…
Getting engaged at someone else’s wedding is very bad form, but given Lauryn’s usual level of tact is anyone really surprised?
And with that, the competition is at an end! It has been a rollercoaster of a show, with many unexpected twists and turns, and only time will tell if any of the contestants truly found The One...
Since filming ended...
Briella and Melany enjoyed an extended honeymoon and are currently looking for a cosy cottage suitable for a newlywed couple.
Chesney and Cory have moved back home to live with their respective families. They still stay in touch.
Lauryn and Julian are planning a small, private wedding. Julian is still living with Nathaneal however their relationship remains strained.
Venkat and Riley felt there was no romance in their shared future, but they remain close friends and thanked the producers for introducing them to each other.

Married at First Sight - Day 19
It was the penultimate day of the competition, and Chesney and Cory were not giving up yet! There has been no real romantic spark between them over the past nearly five weeks, but maybe if they talk it through they can at least reach some kind of mutual understanding...
Julian was up early to get some exercise in, and Lauryn seemed quite taken with his work-out gear!
Lookin’ sharp!
After breakfast Julian asked Lauryn to go outside with him… and asked her to be his girlfriend! An uncharacteristically excited Lauryn was very happy to say yes!
Riley and Venkat decided to take a trip to the local gym together, but ended up spending more time laughing and joking than using the exercise equipment!
Lauryn called up her brother Neal and invited him over to the apartments. As soon as he arrived she was eager to tell him the good news… but Neal looked less than impressed.
Somewhat deflated by Neal’s reaction, Lauryn headed out to the back garden to get some time to herself to think, and focussed on tending Melany’s plants to help her clear her mind. She is not the sort to let other people’s opinions stand in the way of her doing what she thinks is right, but it would be nice to have her brother’s support all the same.
NOTE: Literally as I was typing this up I finally realised that Lauryn has a brother named Neal and Julian has a brother named Nathaneal, in addition to both having nephews named Jama(a)l. Confusing!
With her second wedding to Melany due to take place tomorrow, Briella decided to head to the gym to work out her anxieties on a punching bag. Who knows what family dramas tomorrow could bring, so she is going to need to keep as cool a head as possible!
Back at the apartments, Cory’s brother Edmund stopped by with his daughter Mindy… who of course made a bee-line for her favourite person in the world: Chesney! As Cory sat and talked to Edmund, Chesney tried to explain to Mindy that she was not sure she would be able to be her new aunt… Mindy appeared to listen attentively, but as usual found the whole thing hilarious. Perhaps not discussions to be having with a small toddler…
With seemingly half the contestants at the gym it was inevitable that they would run into each other sooner or later. Briella caught up with Venkat by the weights machines and wanted to go over details for tomorrow’s ceremony. He was less enthusiastic, but listened as patiently as he could.

Married at First Sight - Day 18
As the eighteenth day dawned, Venkat and Riley could be found hanging out in front of the TV, watching sports and chatting comfortably.
Melany was enjoying some peace and quiet in the music room, completely absorbed in her book and apparently oblivious to Julian’s latest artwork resting on the nearby easel.
Once Briella was back from work she and Melany headed out for a date to the library, which seems appropriate given their shared love of reading. There were not many other people around, which was fortunate because with the wedding only two days away Melany could barely contain her excitement!
Back at the apartments Chesney tried to have a serious discussion with Cory about their relationship. Cory is still uncertain about where he sees things going, and complained that the pressure to make a decision (both from Chesney and the time constraints imposed by the competition) was giving him a headache. Right now the whole thing is a bit too intense for laid-back Cory…
Nevertheless, the pair continued their conversation as they headed inside for lunch, whilst most of the others listened to Melany and Briella laying out the plans for their wedding.
Sensing that the others may be finding her constant wedding talk a little grating, Melany headed out to spend the afternoon fishing in a nearby river. Some quiet time away from the others with one of her favourite activities to focus her mind seems to have helped calm her down a little.
That evening, as the contestants sat down to dinner, Cory tried to make up for his earlier grumpy mood by turning his charms on Chesney. She was not particularly receptive, and the other contestants felt uncomfortable to be caught in the middle of this awkward encounter.
After dinner Venkat and Riley could be found relaxing together by the pool. Unlike some of the other couples, they are less concerned with where this is all going and just happy to enjoy each others’ company.
Whether the two of them have found their ideal partner, they both seem to have found a great friend.

Married at First Sight - Day 17
The start of the final week was a fairly quiet affair at the apartments, with most of the contestants hanging out and chatting.
Cory and Riley seemed unable to disconnect from work on their day off, settling down together to watch a cooking show on the TV for inspiration and to compare ideas for improving the recipes shown.
Chesney received another visit from Londyn. She continued to be a terrible influence on her niece by enthusing about the rush she gets from shoplifting and offering tips on how best to swipe items without getting caught.
Once the cooking show had finished, Riley took some time out on his own to work out by the apartment’s private pool...
...after which he headed inside and enjoyed tucking into some lunch whilst chatting to Melany and Londyn.
Chesney and Cory seemed to be at least getting on amicably this afternoon…
...and Chesney was even seen flirting with Cory a little…
...and although this seemed to be well received Cory’s answering smile held a sense of hesitation and uncertainty…
Lauryn and Julian took a trip to the museum to admire the artwork… although Lauryn seemed more interested in admiring Julian!
Once they returned to the apartments they headed up to the music room, where Julian showed off his artistic talents by painting a portrait of his partner!
At the end of the day most of the contestants were once again gathered to share a meal, although Briella was more interested in her book than in the spaghetti Riley had prepared for dinner.

Married at First Sight - Day 16
NOTE: Thank you for your patience with this lengthy hiatus! I actually finished “filming” the series earlier in the year but fell behind on writing the Tumblr posts. At the time of posting all remaining entries the main series have been written and queued for publication.
Uncertainty over her relationship with Cory still seems to be playing on Chesney’s mind, so this morning she turned to Melany for advice. They sat and talked for a while, however Melany has found things with Briella so straightforward that she did not have much guidance to offer.
That said, even just talking through her own feelings seemed to be helpful for Chesney, and Melany was happy for her to sit by the side of the pool and chat to her as she planted some mushrooms.
Back inside, Lauryn was feeling anxious about today’s visit to Julian’s family, particularly after her altercation with Nathaneal a couple of days earlier. Julian reassured her that he thought she was awesome, and he did not care what his brother had to say about the matter.
Briella had had a quiet shift at the coffee shop this morning and had used the time to work on her vows for her upcoming wedding to Melany. She shared her work with Melany, who was deeply touched by her moving words!
Family Visit - The Carrier Family
NOTE: It was during this visit that I realised that Lauryn has a nephew named Jamal, and Julian has a nephew named Jamaal. Confusing.
Location: Fixer Upper by VILLIONILLION
As soon as Lauryn, Julian and the film crew arrived at the Carrier family home, Nathaneal came storming out the front door, making it very clear that he did not want to be filmed. He very abruptly informed Julian that he was off to work, and that he was leaving Jamaal in his care for the day.
Just as he left, Jamaal appeared in the doorway. Lauryn was relieved to not have to deal with Nathaneal but anxious about how she would be received by his son, so she defaulted to talking about her favourite subject: colour theory. Fortunately, Jamaal found this fascinating!
As Jamaal and Lauryn chatted outside, Julian let himself in and decided to take advantage of Nathaneal’s absence to treat himself to a bubble bath!
Lauryn and Jamaal were getting on like a house on fire, and headed to the back garden to continue their conversation.
A short while later Jamaal let Lauryn know that he thought she was pretty cool. He asked if he could hug her, and a shocked Lauryn very happily accepted!
Afterwards, Jamaal rushed inside to tell his best friend Blarfy all about his new aunt Lauryn and all the cool art stuff she had been teaching him.
Steady on, mate.
Feeling relaxed and playful after his bubble bath, Julian now availed himself of Nathaneal’s easel and started work on a painting. As he worked Lauryn told him all about how well she was getting on with Jamaal, which really seemed to lift his spirits.
After a slightly uncertain start four weeks ago, more recently Julian has really been growing closer to Lauryn. Seeing how well she has bonded with Jamaal, he started to see that she might make a good aunt for him… and perhaps a good mother for their future children? Either way, Julian was filled with optimism about the future of their relationship and leaned in for their first kiss.
Aw.
As Jamaal joined them again, all three took a seat in front of the fire and continued chatting comfortably.
Shortly before Lauryn and Julian were due to depart Nathaneal returned home from work and continued to ignore the film crew. His absence during the day seems to have done the couple good, as they both felt a lot more positively about their future together by the time they left.
NOTE: They both had whims wanting to ask the other to go steady at this point but the option was not yet appearing as a possible interaction.
Back at the apartments…
Julian caught up with Melany, and was eager to tell her about how well the day’s visit had gone!
Chesney received a visit from Carlton and Paris. Carlton remained stoney-faced throughout but at least he did not start any rows, and Chesney and Paris were able to have a laugh together.
With the end of the competition only a week away, Cory again tried to show Chesney some affection by offering a hug, and again was rejected. This couple just do not seem to be working.
Wanting to take her mind off how badly things were going with Cory, Chesney prepared a large plate of BLTs for the other contestants, who all enjoyed tucking in at the end of a long week!

Married at First Sight - Day 15
NOTE: It seems that around this time the cooking bug was fixed… or at least improved, meaning that sims were not just constantly cooking and complaining they were hungry. As such the extent to which I was actively meddling in that aspect of the gameplay greatly reduced.
It was a quiet morning at the apartments, with nothing noteworthy happening before Venkat and Riley set out for their visit to the Shalvoy family.
Family Visit - The Shalvoy Family
Location: Base Game Modern mansion by fr0905
Arriving at Venkat’s family home in Willow Creek, he and Riley were in the mood for fun. They wasted no time in turning up the stereo, and whilst Venkat’s sister Peyton was unmoved by their invitation to dance she was also entirely unsurprised.
Taking a quick coffee break, Venkat sat down with his brother Dale to bring him up to speed on how things were going with him and Riley. Three-quarters of the way through the competition Venkat is glad to have been matched with Riley and cannot imagine having a better time with anyone, but that chemistry seems to be purely platonic, which somewhat defeats the object. Dale thinks that Venkat is over-thinking things.
NOTE: I kinda want to make a spin-off focusing solely on Dale - he seems like a… character.
At length Riley and Peyton joined them, and they all settled down to watch Chateau du Landgraab. Dale exclaimed that this was his favourite movie, and fortunately the others had seen it enough times to not be bothered by Dale’s running commentary.
After the movie Venkat’s father Colten appeared. Everyone else decided to give him and Riley some space to get to know each other, which may not have been the best move as Colten was soon interrogating Riley over his family background and career progress. Nothing Riley said seemed to please him…
Dale and Peyton soon returned to rescue Riley, and Peyton had Dale and Riley in hysterics with her colourful anecdotes, whilst a glowering Colten stomped off in search of Venkat.
Colten found his son upstairs on the computer, and much to his disappointment Venkat had no time for his father’s negativity, explaining that even if there was no romantic spark between himself and Riley he was still a very good friend.
Back downstairs Venkat’s mother Cherish had returned home and seemed to take a far more amicable view of Riley.
Before long Cherish was telling Riley enthusiastically about several embarrassing moments from Venkat’s childhood, which Riley was sure to file away to tease Venkat over later!
Peyton went to find out where Venkat and her father had got to. She found them crowded around the computer with Venkat’s other brother Cohen watching work-out videos and debating the merits of different techniques.
As the visit came to an end Venkat said his goodbyes to his family. Taking his brother by the hand, Dale reminded Venkat to just relax and stop overthinking everything.
Back at the apartments…
Riley told Lauryn and Julian all about his day with the Shalvoy family, and how everyone had been really nice except for Colten (and Cohen, who he had barely seen). Lauryn explained to Riley that there were aspects of his personality that other people would find aggravating but that he should not care about their opinions…
This did not have the reassuring effect she had hoped.
As the evening went on several of the contestants gathered in one of the apartments to eat, chat and dance, and all the women appeared to be getting on well.
Lauryn and Julian decided that they needed some time on their own away from the other contestants so took a late-night trip to the park, where Julian amused Lauryn with tales of strange creatures lurking in the dark.
After this they headed to the museum and compared ideas for decorating their ideal home.
Once they got back, Chensey caught up with Lauryn and made it clear she had forgiven her for her remarks about Venkat’s dancing the previous week, wrapping her up in a reassuring hug.
Lauryn also managed to make up with Riley by expressing her admiration for his culinary prowess. Riley was happy to accept the extended olive branch and the two of them stayed up late so Riley could provide Lauryn with advice as she prepared a meal for the following day.
NOTE: By this point in my gameplay I had gone from finding Lauryn kinda boring to her actually being my favourite. She means well, but just seems to have a knack for saying the wrong thing at the wrong time…

Married at First Sight - Day 14
15Cory is not usually an early riser however with today’s visit to his family playing on his mind he found himself unable to enjoy his usual lie-in. Fortunately Riley was once again there to provide a listening ear and reassure Cory that everything would be fine. For all this couple’s struggles to communicate with each other, Chesney does seem to have the ability to at least get on with most people.
Not long after this Julian was up and came to chat with Riley as he prepared a meal for later in the day.
For her part, Chesney decided to prepare for the visit to Cory’s family by calling her brother Carlton and checking if there was anything about how she comes across to strangers she should keep in mind. She seemed reassured, and when Riley and Julian tried to offer her some tips she politely but firmly told them she was confident she knew what she was doing.
Back in Lauryn and Julians apartment Lauryn could not get enough of Julian’s painting. She shared that she found it a helpful focus for working through her thoughts and feelings about her relationship with her partner.
Family Visit - The Knapp Family
Location: Family House by Maelan_le-bg
Arriving at the Knapp family residence in Oasis Springs Cory briefed Chesney on what to expect from his family.
She did not seem to need his guidance, though, and remained not-so-quietly confident! Cory was not so sure what to make of this.
Once inside, Chesney wasted no time getting to know Cory’s brother Edmund and his youngest daughter Mindy. Not entirely sure how to act around small children, Chseney very bluntly explained to Mindy that she was not going to be a little kid forever and that she would most likely find the realities of adult life disappointing and stressful.
For whatever reason, Mindy found this hilarious, and decided that Chesney was her new best friend. Not quite the reaction Chesney had been expecting…
Soon Cory’s father Westley arrived, followed by Edmund’s wife Dorothy and their eldest daughter Mia. As the whole family sat and chatted in the living room Cory watched from the kitchen, suddenly feeling like an outsider in his own home.
For whatever reason Chesney and Mindy continued to get along famously. Apparently Chesney’s sociable nature far outweighed her general dislike of children, and when Mindy wanted a hug from her new favourite person Chesney was more than happy to oblige!
Whilst this had been doing on Cory had retreated upstairs to take his frustrations out on strangers on the internet. Westley and Mia went to find him, but they knew him too well to try to persuade this loner to come back downstairs. Instead they decided to make his trolling a team effort, offering numerous suggestions for derailing conversations and imaginative insults!
Mia decided that she wanted to have a go herself, and Cory was a little alarmed at how quickly she got drawn into the flame war!
Deciding that things had gone far enough, Westley encouraged Mia to go to her room to cool off, and both he and Cory headed back downstairs. After Chesney excused herself to use the toilet Cory’s family were quick to capitalise on the opportunity to ask him about how he saw his relationship with Chesney progressing. He may have gone a little over the top in his assurances that things were going great, and they did not look entirely convinced…
On her way back from the toilet Chesney decided to take a brief tour of the unattended rooms upstairs and with no one else around she quickly helped herself to one of Mindy’s picture books. The book only cost a few simoleons brand new, was clearly very worn, and of course has little intellectual stimulation to offer Chesney, which really demonstrates how her kleptomania is a compulsion fulfilling some deeper psychological need rather than a deliberate action born of financial necessity. Perhaps after bonding with Mindy earlier that day she took the book so that she could continue to feel emotionally close to her once she had returned to the apartments… This could provide an interesting gateway into examining the drivers for Chesney’s stealing more generally, but this is a reality television show not a forensic psychology documentary.
Back downstairs, Mindy wanted to hear a story. Super-confident Chesney decided that Mindy would rather hear one of Chesney’s own true life tails than whatever inane drivel was in her picture books… and it seems she was right! Mindy is basically entranced by anything Chensey has to say.
Deciding that she might get more out of Cory one-to-one, Dorothy persuaded him to let her mix him a drink at the home bar. She tried not to let her concern show as Cory explained that whilst Chesney seemed nice there just did not seem to be any physical connection between the two of them.
The whole Knapp family (and particularly Mindy) think that Chesney is great, so they were sad to hear Cory say he felt it might not work out.
Back at the apartments…
As the film crew arrived back Melany could be heard on the phone to Kenzie, excitedly discussing plans for her wedding to Briella.
Nathaneal dropped by again to have dinner and talk to Lauryn and Julian about their relationship. This was a more relaxed visit than his previous one, but Lauryn once again showed a laser-guided knack for saying exactly the wrong thing. Julian already knows that this is going to go badly…
To her credit, Lauryn immediately realised her mistake, but it was too late to take it back, and Nathaneal promptly started listing the reasons why he did not think this relationship was going to work.
For the fourth day in a row Riley had had a bad day at work. Despite what he may have told Cory the previous day, he does not seem to be coping well with the increased responsibility, and an embarrassing incident earlier that evening left him anxious about facing his colleagues the following day. Fortunately Venkat was there to listen, act appropriately shocked, and provide reassurance.

Married at First Sight - Day 13
As the sun rose on week four a sleepy-looking Venkat headed out for his morning run.
Julian finished his painting of the road outside the apartment complex and hung it in his and Lauryn’s apartment to admire.
Whatever was on Chesney’s mind yesterday appeared to still be bothering her this morning, as she was once again up early. This time she was heading out on her own to the museum, presumably for some peace and quiet to reflect on her mercurial relationship with Cory. Cory has a huge capacity to love and care for his partner in whatever way they need but for some reason Chesney seems reluctant to let him get close enough to show her that.
Once he returned from his run Venkat prepared breakfast, and everyone enjoyed tucking in. Lauryn still seems to be trying to make up for upsetting the other contestants a few days ago and volunteered to clear up the plates, as well as taking it upon herself to mop up the mess after the dishwasher suffered a malfunction.
Riley had recently received a promotion at work and relished the opportunity to brag to former workmate Cory about his increased pay packet and what he was going to spend it on. Fortunately Cory is laid-back enough not to take offense at Riley’s boasting, and listening to Riley’s stories about work was just glad that he himself did not have all that responsibility!
Family Visit - The Gil Family
Location: 4/3 Base ♥ Family Starter by Anaire3
Straight off the back of visiting the Ames family yesterday, today Melany and Briella paid a visit to the Gils. They were eager to meet Melany, and Briella’s mother Izabella, brother-in-law Jarod and niece Casey all came out to the street to greet them.
They all stood around chatting for a while, and were soon joined by Briella’s other niece, Kayley.
Jarod headed inside to find his wife Kenzie (Briella’s sister, who had previously met Melany when she visited the Honeymoon Apartments), and since she had just come out of the swimming pool decided to change into his swimming trunks so she would not feel like the odd one out. Kenzie was pleased to see Jarod getting on with Melany as well as she had herself.
Leaving everyone else still chatting in the street, Kenzie headed inside to prepare lunch, and caught up with her sister and Melany whilst the rest of the family enjoyed their meal in the living area.
With her short temper Briella has not had the best of luck with relationships in the past and seeing how happy her sister was with Melany filled Kenzie’s heart with joy. She thought she could not possibly be any happier, but when Briella asked her to be her maid of honour it was all Kenzie could do to contain herself, immediately pulling Briella into a big hug.
Whilst Kenzie and Briella discussed wedding plans outside, Melany continued getting to know the rest of Briella’s family. After the way her own mother had behaved only the day before it was a huge relief to Melany to find Izabella far more accepting.
After a socially and emotionally intense day, Briella and Melany decided to spend the last hour of their visit just relaxing in the pool. With Briella’s family and most of Melany’s being so supportive it was difficult for the pair to care too much about Bonnie’s reaction… and maybe, after seeing how positive everyone else was being, she might start to come around…
NOTE: At the end of the family visit both Briella and Melany went and autonomously back floated in the pool. They were soon joined by Jarod and the kids, all of whom were back floating, but with five sims in a 2x2 pool they kept clipping through each other, the walls and the floor, and I found that too immersion-breaking to take photos of. Even in this one I think Briella’s legs are clipping through the floor on the right, but because of the angle I can just about pretend that he legs are bent downwards at the knees… if I do not look too closely...
Back at the apartments…
Lauryn was really impressed with the painting Julian had hung in their apartment and was sure to let him know!
Feeling inspired, she headed off to the museum and daydreamed about Julian filling their home with his own creations.
Lauryn wondered if she could also produce art to the same standard as Julian and spying an empty easel decided to give it a go! The results were… underwhelming.
Back at the apartments, however, her endeavours in the kitchen were much more fruitful!
Clearly pleased with herself, she went to show Cory… who had just arrived home from a stressful day at work and was in no mood for Lauryn’s boastfulness.
I just cannot get enough of Cory looking angry with everybody #sorrynotsorry
Back inside, Julian at least was impressed with Lauryn’s cooking, and congratulated her with a hug! Looks like things really are looking up for this couple!
NOTE: Almost all of Lauryn’s behaviour here was autonomous, and a pleasure to witness!
Riley had also had a tough day and sat down to complain about it to Venkat. Venkat was watching a comedy show on TV at the time and kept chuckling to himself, but this did not seem to bother Riley who just needed a listening ear.
In an effort to cheer his partner up Venkat tried to start a ridiculous rumour about some of the other contestants. Riley definitely was not buying it, but at least Venkat’s wild stories at least seemed to cheer him up!
After Venkat headed upstairs to the music room Riley reflected on how lucky he was to have a partner in the experiment who could melt his cares away with such ease.
For all their differences, Lauryn and Venkat seem to have finally found something to unite them, and were found jamming together in the music room. Perhaps this musical duo could be the next big thing…
Jam time over and heading to bed, Lauryn paused once again to admire Julian’s artwork. He really is a remarkable guy...

Married at First Sight - Day 12
Given her mother’s behaviour earlier in the week Melany was quite anxious about her impending family visit. She tried various approaches to calming her nerves including a spot of early morning fishing…
...and giving herself a pep talk…
...but in the end it was Vankat’s cooked breakfast and cheerful attitude that helped her relax, albeit briefly.
Humour seemed to be the order of the day, with Cory and Chesney getting to know each other through laughing and joking around.
Family Visit - The Ames Family

As soon as Melany and Briella arrived at the Ames family home Bonnie again made it perfectly clear that she did not approve of Briella or her relationship with Bonnie’s daughter Melany.
Briella’s response to Bonnie’s ranting was uncharacteristically cool, and whilst that is a credit to her self-control it may not have been the best approach, as Briella’s unmoved smirk only seemed to wind Bonnie up further.
Shortly after this Bonnie left, declaring that she was not going to participate any further in the show and would not return home until the film crew had left. Needing to calm her frayed nerves after her mother’s tirade, Melany decided to take some quiet time on her own tending the family’s garden whilst Briella headed inside to read.
Melany’s mood did not seem much improved so she sat down with a cup of coffee and told Briella about how upset she was with her mother’s lack of acceptance. Having Briella there to listen without judging seemed to at least help Melany relax a little.
A short while later Melany’s sister-in-law Angelica returned from taking her toddler Tiffani to the park. In complete contrast to Bonnie, Angelica was eager to hear about Melany’s relationship with Briella, and over the moon when she heard the two of them were engaged!
Apparently Angelica and her husband Floyd (Melany’s brother) had run into Bonnie as she was leaving and had attempted to calm her down. Although he was eager to meet Briella himself, Floyd decided the best strategy would be to play peace-maker and try to talk his mother into being more open-minded about the experiment. Whether this strategy will bear fruit remains to be seen...
Back at the apartments…
After their first family visit and spending the week really working on their relationship things seem to be going much better for Julian and Lauryn, who shared a hug by the roaring living room fire.
As week three drew to a close all contestants who were not at work gathered in the living room to eat and discuss how the first week of family visits had gone, as well as share their hopes for the second week of visits. Lauryn seems quietly pleased with how well her relationship with Julian is going whilst Melany joked that her visit to Briella’s family could hardly go worse than the visit to her own! Something seemed to be playing on Chesney’s mind, though, and she did not say much during this conversation.
After dinner Briella and Chesney decided to start a book club in the music room, and even if they are the only two members they seemed to be enjoying themselves!
Riley arrived home late having had a rough day at work, but Venkat was there to tell him that he looked great. Even if he did not believe him, Riley appreciated the effort.
Cory seemed to have had a much better shift and went to greet Chesney with a hug but - whatever they had shared at the park yesterday - Chesney was not in the mood today.
Cory was clearly hurt, and more than a little confused about what this means for their relationship.
Downstairs in the living room Briella and Venkat continue to enjoy each others’ company, whilst Chesney seems to be taking her classic Fraggle Rock approach to her relationship with Cory.
Things continued to go well for Lauryn and Julian, who spent some time in the study discussing celebrity gossip and looking up recipes online.
Julian is also continuing to build his friendship with his gym buddy Venkat, and (surprising the researchers) he seems to appreciate Venkat’s sense of humour, even if it can be a little shocking at times...

Married at First Sight - Day 11
After earning the other contestants’ ire with her comments about Venkat’s dancing Lauryn was eager to try to smooth things over this morning. Unfortunately Lauryn’s idea of “smooth things over” seems to be “explain why what I said was actually funny”, and Chesney at least did not seem to be buying it.
Family man Riley was up early to cook everyone breakfast…
...and was quietly amused to see Julian enjoying it so much his fork seemed to be a blur!
Briella and Lauryn were also impressed with Riley’s cooking…
...and made sure to let him know!
Family Visit - The McDonald Family

Arriving at her family’s home together, Cory asked Chesney for the lowdown on her family and what he could expect from today. He hoped that there would not be too much drama - little did he know what the day (and the McDonalds) had in store for him!
The first surprise was that they would not be spending a quiet day at home and in fact had planned a family outing to the local Desert Bloom Park… where they insisted that he and Chesney had a cook-off! This was not at all what Cory had in mind.
Chesney suspected that her brother Carlton’s plans for organised fun were coming from a place of nerves about meeting her partner for the first time and having the film crew around. Carlton, however, did not take Chesney’s speculation about his motives well, and promptly started laying into her about psychoanalysing him as she tended the barbecue.
Staring at the hamburgers, Cory contemplated this strange and hostile situation he had found himself in the middle of, and how best to handle things.
As they sat down to tuck into lunch with Carlton’s daughter Londyn, Chesney’s brother continued to make snide remarks that were clearly grating on Cory.
Deciding he had had enough, Cory let Carlton have a piece of his mind. It seemed Chesney was struggling to fight back a smile at this point, but only she knows whether that was because Carlton was getting what he deserved, because her man was sticking up for her, or for some other reason.
Silence followed Cory’s outburst, and he immediately regretted what he had said.
Chesney tried to lighten the mood by talking to Londyn enthusiastically about the joys of shoplifting, whilst Cory continued to glare daggers at Carlton.
Londyn clearly thinks her aunt is pretty cool, but it seems like Carlton is still in a sulk.
The rest of the meal was eaten in awkward silence, and at length Carlton and Londyn excused themselves from the table. With her brother and niece gone, Chesney gave Cory a huge hug to show her appreciation for him standing up for her. Physical affection has been rare between these two, and the look of relief on lovelorn Cory’s face as Chesney embraces him speaks volumes.
Too bad that peace could not last. As Londyn grabbed a second helping of lunch, other sims were starting to be drawn by the smell of the delicious meal, and family friend Sonny Rider took a seat at the table. The last thing Cory needed today was more strangers to deal with…
As Cory headed to the toilet block to calm himself down, super sociable Chesney went to see who else was at the park. Heading over to the chess tables she introduced herself to Bonnie Ames (mother of Chesney’s fellow contestant Melany’s Ames) and Jocelyn Lauer. Bonnie did not seem to expect or appreciate the film crew’s presence, and left shortly after.
Now in a much calmer mood, Cory headed inside to the park’s library, where he sat and chatted with Londyn and her brother Paris.
As the afternoon went on more sims arrived and when someone turned on the stereo everyone got up to dance. Even Cory seemed to be enjoying himself, and the cameras caught him surreptitiously checking out Chesney’s dance moves!
It certainly was not the most peaceful of family visits, but at least no one came to blows?
Oh, and for what it is worth, Chesney’s theory about Carlton acting up for the cameras may have merit…
[NOTE 1: I really had intended for this family visit to stay at the McDonald family home but both Chesney and Cory were hungry when they arrived and for some reason the house hand neither a fridge nor a grill, and apparently you cannot order pizza to someone else’s house. I had no intention of letting two of my contestants starve to death over something this trivial, hence the impromptu trip to the park.]
[NOTE 2: I had picked up at character creation that the game had given both of Carlton’s kids European city names but it was only when I was playing through Day 11 that I realised Carlton is a town name as well. If I had noticed this earlier I might have changed Chesney’s name to Chelsea, but alas I had already published the intro posts and the events of the first four days. Oh well!]

Back at the apartments…
Julian’s brother Nathaneal paid the contestants an unexpected visit. Apparently he was upset that Julian and Lauryn had visited her family first, and felt that his own should have taken priority. Lauryn tried to explain that the visits were arranged by the production team but Nathaneal was in no mood to listen.
Nathaneal tried to get Cory on his side but Cory kept his attention firmly focussed on his burger. After the day he had had the last thing he needed was to be drawn into the middle of more family drama!
Riley also seems to have had a stressful day, although the film crew were unsure exactly what had gone on. He just wanted to relax and watch some TV in his apartment and was quite irritated to find Melany sat there reading… although he choose quietly stewing over asking her to leave.
Once Melany had left Cory popped in briefly and was seen tidying away the book she had been reading. Apparently that is his “thing”.
Elsewhere in the apartments, though, Venkat and Melany’s other halves at least seemed to be getting on!

Mooching Challenge - Part 4: Day 12-14
Instead of heading straight to Ophelia Villa a resentful Lewi decided to stop by the art gallery first. Deciding that paint and canvas was a better artistic outlet for his anger than his music, he produced a crude picture of him burning down Pique Hearth with Bob inside it. This seemed to lift his mood somewhat.
That is real mature, Lewi.
Eventually arriving at the Goth’s residence Lewi quickly made himself at home and turned his charms on Bella, hoping that if she fell for him she would be more tolerant of him hanging around all the time. Initially she was receptive but as he continued his campaign she became suspicious of the sudden attention and started to shut him out.
Figuring he was wasting his time Lewi headed out to the nightclub to try to earn some cash in tips… and to his surprise, Bella followed him! She was used to being the focus of attention and when Lewi walked out on her she felt rejected, so was desperate for validation. As he was already playing his guitar Lewi switched smoothly to a sweet serenade, which quickly helped to sooth Bella’s bruised ego.
The two of them chatted for a while, and when Lewi went in for a kiss Bella was surprised but not unreceptive!
Determined to capitalise on the day’s progress, Lewi pulled out his phone to call a cab and suggested that they both head back to Nookstone. After a moment’s hesitation, Bella agreed.
Johnny was surprisingly relaxed about the whole thing and gave the couple some privacy… although it seems this was more out of respect for Lewi than for Bella, as he later revelled in Lewi’s lurid description of his conquest!
Feel free to mentally caption this however you want - whatever you are thinking is probably less offensive than what Lewi was actually saying.
With Johnny heading out to work Lewi made the most of the opportunity to cook some food, take a shower, and sleep in a proper bed rather than napping on a couch.
Chelsea had been texting and calling him non-stop since Debra was born so once he had freshened up and got some rest Lewi decided to stop by Vista Quarry and see if he could placate her. He had been steering clear to avoid the screaming, nappy changes and bottle feeds, but when he arrived he found that Debra had grown into a toddler… and something inside him changed.
Lewi’s life had always been about Lewi, and maybe old habits would die hard, but he was determined to shower her with gifts and attention every chance he got.
Feeling full of energy, Lewi headed to the gym to work out with Bella. When Eliza Pancakes showed up, though, Lewi paid her a little too much attention, and Bella left in a mood.
Removed from reminders of her husband, Eliza seemed a lot more inclined to give in to Lewi’s attentions, and when he suggested that the two of them head back to Pique Hearth together she was more than eager.
Bob was in the back garden when he thought he heard the front door go, but he thought nothing of it.
He carried on with the cooking and again thought he heard a noise from upstairs but decided it must have been his imagination.
A short while later, however, he was dismayed to find Lewi in the garden, helping himself to the hot dogs Bob had spent the afternoon grilling.
His mood further dropped when he saw just how happy Eliza seemed to be when she was around Lewi.
Neither of them told Bob what had happened, but he was able to put the pieces together and come to something approaching the right conclusion. He went to the living room to eat his hotdogs on his own, and maybe there was something telling him that he did not want to see how Lewi and Eliza behaved when they were alone together, because if he had just turned his head slightly he would have seen his worst fears confirmed.
Heading inside, Lewi tried to help Bob out by bestowing some of his wisdom on what women wanted, and in particular what Bob’s wife wanted.
Lewi may have thought he was doing a good dead, but Bob looks like he wanted to punch him in the face.
Leaving Pique Hearth, Lewi headed to the nightclub where he played his guitar for the assembled patrons and wrote a song dedicated to his new daughter, Debra.
At the end of a profitable shift he headed back to Ophelia Villa and found that one of the great advantages of this house was that it was so big he could enjoy a lengthy bubble bath without anyone noticing!
Unfortunately Lewi did not get so lucky in the kitchen, with Cassandra turning up to yell at him as he tried to prepare dinner.
He just ignored her.
After eating, Lewi headed back out to the Nightclub to earn some more tips and write a song about how he felt rejected wherever he went. He named it Fish Tacos.
All in all, the evening seemed to be going pretty well… until Bella showed up and announced that she was pregnant!
Oh dear.

NOTE: Day 12 saw a significant increase in Lewi’s bank balance as he sold off a number of stolen objects. This included the Pancakes’ §700 porch chair and two Princess Cordelia busts worth §1,400 each!

Married at First Sight - Day 10
A sudden change in personality is rarely a good sign, so the film crew were somewhat alarmed to see hard-partying Chesney heading out to the Willow Creek gym before the sun was even up.
Tomorrow she will be taking Cory to visit her family in Oasis Springs and perhaps that is playing on her mind, but even so exercise is not her usual coping strategy…
Less surprisingly, Julian and Venkat were also up early and working out in the on-site gym together. Despite being judged as one of the worst matches romance-wise these two seem to get on great as gym buddies.
Downstairs in the living area, however, romance-starved Cory seemed to have forgotten his earlier conversation with Chesney and tried putting the moves on Riley.
Riley was NOT impressed, and even the host of the cooking show in the background seems embarrassed on Cory’s behalf. Awkward.
Incidentally, this marks a rather dubious milestone for Cory: he has now flirted with one partner from each of the other couples but not his own partner. Not exactly a great sign...
Family Visit - The Huynh Family
Location: Home is Oak Alcove by THICColas03
Lauryn was happy to see her brother Neal again and sat him down to bring him up-to-speed on the events of the last two weeks… but instead this art-loving pair became engrossed in a detailed discussion of colour theory.
When Julian arrived he was impressed with how well the Huynh house was decorated, stopping to admire the huge painting hanging next to the front door.
[I am sure that mailbox was not in the middle of the hallway when I downloaded this home but by the time I realised it was there Julian and Lauryn were in the middle of their visit and I did not want to disrupt the flow by going out to the Manage Worlds screen.]
Lauryn greeted Julian with a hug, and the relief from the researchers watching this footage was palpable. They were starting to get quite concerned that this couple just did not seem to be connecting, but perhaps it is simply more of a slow-burn relationship…
Neal, his wife Tracy, and their son Mitchell waited patiently to be introduced to Julian, as Lauryn gave him a few last minute pointers. Of course - just like everything else in her life - she wants this introduction to be perfect!
Once they were all sat down Mitchell started telling everyone animatedly about his latest art project. Julian really enjoyed seeing how genuinely interested Lauryn was in her nephew’s story, and could not help but imagine how enthusiastic she could be talking to their possible future children about their own creative passions.
In retrospect, getting up early to work out with Venkat and not leaving time for a shower before going to see Lauryn’s family was not the best plan. Julian excused himself to take a quick bath… which turned out to be not-so-quick, when he fell asleep in the tub!
Although the visit had been planned so that all the family would be able to be there, Mitchell’s brother Jamal had been invited on a last-minute camping trip with his best friend’s family and did not want to miss out on this opportunity. Lauryn still wanted to catch up with her nephew so called him up to chat and find out how his trip was going. Mitchell, however, also wanted to talk to his brother, and tried to grab the phone from Lauryn mid-call. As much as she loves her sons, Tracy wishes Mitchell could have just a little more chill!
Tracy headed outside to prepare a meal on the barbecue so Lauryn continued to hang out with Mitchell, offering guidance on how he can improve his art work.
Julian, meanwhile, took the opportunity to talk to Neal about his relationship with Lauryn. He explained that they seemed like an ideal match on paper but he was worried there was a lack of chemistry. Neal listened attentively and reassured Julian that (despite what he might have hoped from the experiment) relationships take time and effort, and that if both he and Lauryn want this to work then they will find a way.
Tracy finished cooking and served up dinner, and food-driven Julian was quick to grab a plate. He was very impressed, and quickly declared this the best meal he had ever eaten! (He does that a lot.)
Mitchell, unfortunately, was less of a fan of his mother’s cooking!
Back at the apartments…
Needing some time to process the day’s events, Julian was straight back in the gym. Melany dropped by to chat and when the gym stereo started playing her favourite song she could barely contain her excitement! She does not even seem to be bothered by Julian’s sweaty gym odour!
Still in her gym gear, Chesney has returned to more characteristic behaviour and could be found in the music room with her head in a book, even if her mind was still on tomorrow’s visit to her family.
Whether Riley or Cory told Venkat about this morning’s flirtations is unknown, but either way Venkat and Cory seemed to be getting on like a house on fire come the evening! They tried to impress Melany with an elaborate story-telling double act, complete with mimed actions and comically exaggerated facial expressions.
She did not find these two as entertaining as they apparently found themselves.
With Lauryn’s family visit out of the way and Chesney’s taking place tomorrow the two of them sat down to talk about their experiences and concerns. Lauryn is a bit disappointed that Julian did not spend more time getting to know her family whilst he was there, but overall feels the visit went well.
Melany sat down next to them for a late night snack, and when Venkat started dancing to the stereo Lauryn made a disparaging joke about his moves.
No one else found this funny, and both Melany and Chesney promptly called her out on this. For Lauryn’s part she seems self-centred enough not to be phased by their reactions. It remains to be seen how this will impact her relationship with the others moving forwards...

Mooching Challenge - Part 3: Day 8-11
Lewi had spent time with both of the Pancakeses previously and seemed to get on well with them, even if they did not always get on so well with each other. Shortly after he arrived he received a somewhat curt text from Chelsea informing him that she had given birth to a baby girl who she had named Debra.
With Bob upstairs practicing his chess game, Lewi immediately put the moves on Eliza…
...and she was very receptive!
However it seems that despite her marital problems Eliza still has some sense of loyalty to Bob. She told him what had happened with Lewi and tried to show Bob she cared about him with a kiss on the cheek. He did not particularly seem to be into it, but he did not push her away, either.
Lewi, however, was now in Bob’s bad books, and when Bob caught him taking a shower he lectured him about wasting water and paying bills. Lewi has no time for this kind of negativity in his life and headed out to the bar.
After coming home hungry Lewi grilled some hotdogs, and when Bob came to grab a helping Lewi wasted no time in letting him know that he thought he was boring and uptight, and no wonder his wife was looking elsewhere!
Lewi decided to autonomously insult Bob due to the festering grudge sentiment he had developed after the shower incident.
Despite the fact that he had hit on Eliza and kept starting arguments with Bob, Lewi managed to stretch out his stay at Pique Hearth longer than one might have expected. The final straw, though, came when Bob found Lewi asleep in his wife’s bed and threw him out.
Lewi was not impressed, and on his way out decided to grab the plate of eggs and bacon that Bob had just finished cooking as a final parting shot. He sat on the porch in his underpants eating his stolen meal and planning his next move.
That chair looks valuable… and portable!
Lewi had run into Bella Goth a few times at the gym so decided to make his way to Willow Creek and Ophelia Villa...

Married at First Sight - Day 9
NOTE: It was around this time that the bug started that meant hungry sims would keep cooking and never eating their meals. Since this is a romance challenge rather than a survivor-type challenge I will admit to intervening more than I would otherwise to make sure no one died of starvation. Assume that that is the case in all future blogs in this series unless I say otherwise.
As week three dawned (literally - it was 04.00), Venkat and Melany could be found laughing and joking in the kitchen, and were soon joined by Cory.
Briella arrived home from her job as a barista feeling tired and worn down. Melany sat with her as she prepared breakfast and tried to lift her spirits. It seems she was successful, even if Briella found her humour more cringe than genuinely funny.
Things really seem to have turned a corner for Lauryn and Julian, with a serious conversation about their high hopes for the future as Lauryn cooked on the barbecue.
Family Visit - The Field Family

Riley was the first contestant to take his new spouse to visit his family. Arriving early, he sat with his brother-in-law Eugi by the pool and spoke excitedly about how much fun he was having with Venkat.
When Venkat arrived Riley was clearly very happy to see him, and excited to introduce him to his family.
Never ones to waste a minute that could be spent laughing, they launched straight into their “fake argument” routine that they had been reheasing since week one. Although Eugi was concerned at first, when he realised it was a prank he joined in with Riley and Venkat’s laughter.
Riley’s father Lloyd was clearly pleased to see his son after two weeks apart, and Riley’s sister Kaley and her son Dashawn joined them by the pool as well.
Fun and laugher continued by the pool, with Venkat playfully splashing Riley and Eugi…
...although he did not seem to enjoy it so much when the tables were turned!
Whilst Riley and the others headed inside to watch TV, Venkat sat by the pool with Lloyd and entertained him with some of his favourite stories.
Inside, Riley, Lloyd and Venkat decided to calm things down a bit and check out the werewolf film that was playing on the TV. Meanwhile, Kaley read to Dashawn, and Eugi read to his daughter Heidi.
On the other side of the living space, Riley’s brother (and Eugi’s husband) Brooks was attempting to impress his daughter Mercedes with his dad jokes. Compared to the rest of the family, however, Mercedes is a lot more serious and motivated, and preferred to focus on completing her homework.
All in all, Venkat appears to fit right in with the Field family, and it is difficult to imagine this visit going any better!
Back at the apartments…
Briella and Chesney hung out in the study, and Briella appeared to re-enacting her week one incident with Melany’s cooking in Sims Forever!
Lauryn and Julian continued to work on their relationship, with Lauryn cooking Julian pancakes before grabbing a bowl of cereal for herself and sitting down to talk about tomorrow’s visit to Lauryn’s family. Julian seems excited, if a little nervous!
Melany took another phone call from her mother Bonnie and from what the film crew overheard it seems that she might not be as accepting of Melany’s relationship with Briella as was first thought. Bonnie seemed to regard the experiment as a bit of light-hearted fun, but to hear her daughter declaring that she had met the love of her life after one week on a reality TV show was too much!
Briella sat Melany down over dinner and listened empathetically as Melany ranted about her mother and how she wanted her to be more supportive.
In a strange way, this was a really great moment to see from this couple, as so far this relationship has been quite one-sided, with Melany being the rock against which mercurial Briella can anchor herself. For this relationship to work both partners need to be able to support each other, and Briella has shown that she is able to be there for Melany emotionally when she needs her.
Briella also seems genuinely worried about Bonnie’s reaction, showing she understands that Melany’s relationship with Briella needs to work alongside her relationship with her family.

Mooching Challenge - Part 2: Day 4-7
During his first few days in Oasis Springs Lewi had made it a mission to get to know as many ladies as possible at the bar. He had learnt that Chelsea Rangel was single and living on her own at Vista Quarry. This was not far from Johnny's home so Lewi decided to pay her a visit. The two flirted over a game of chess and once the match was over Lewi went in for a kiss. Chelsea was very surprised… but not unpleasantly so!
Lewi spent the night at Chelsea’s and the next morning when she left for work he headed back to the bar. He had a productive morning making some good money in tips, although this was nothing in comparison to the §240 he got for the cockerel ornament he swiped from the bathroom!
NOTE: Although the mooching challenge rules do not say anything about stealing or selling stolen items I decided it was acceptable to use the “edit lot” function to access the household inventory and sell any stolen items that were too large for Lewi’s personal inventory.
Lewi headed back to Vista Quarry around lunchtime but found the front door locked as Chelsea was still at work. He was hungry and had not had much luck at the park so decided to head over to Pique Hearth and see what Eliza Pancakes was up to. As it happens she was having a barbecue, so Lewi had timed his arrival perfectly! Even better, Eliza made the mistake of leaving him unattended with a plate of freshly made veggie burgers - that was today’s meals sorted!
Free, freshly grilled veggie burgers?! Score!
His hunger satisfied, Lewi headed back to the bar where he helped himself to the cup of coffee Geoffrey Landgraab had just made himself. Geoffrey seemed to admire Lewi’s audacity and the two got chatting, later joined by Geoffrey’s wife Nancy. After Geoffrey excused himself to take care of some business Lewi tried turning his charms on Nancy but she made it clear she was not interested.
Although he had not made much money during the afternoon Lewi was satisfied that he had least started to forge some useful connections. He was in a good mood when he arrived back at Chelsea’s home, but this was not to last… As Lewi tucked into a sandwich an angry Chelsea informed him that after their night together she was pregnant with his child!
Seriously, Chelsea HATES children, and neither of them look happy about this!
Over the next few days Chelsea was struggling to stay on top of household chores, what with being heavily pregnant and all. Lewi was not overly enthusiastic about helping out (domestic bliss was most certainly NOT part of his game plan) but he was a pragmatist, so when he needed the toilet and found that it was broken he decided the simplest course of action would be to fix it himself.
Which is more tiring: being pregnant, or being around Lewi?
Aside from the odd spot of DIY, Lewi continued more or less as he was before, with most of his time spent playing his guitar at the bar for tips. He was surprised one evening when a heavily pregnant Chelsea came in, but she seemed more interested in catching up with her friends and enjoying a nice glass of juice than listening to his music or trying to talk to him about his impending fatherhood.
That sim in the bottom-right corner is staring directly into my soul and it is freaking me out.
Back at Vista Quarry Lewi made some minimal effort to think of someone other than himself and set about preparing them both a nutritious garden salad. Pregnant and irritable, Chelsea had had enough of Lewi only being helpful when it suited him and threw him out.
Deciding that he was better off away from Chelsea’s home anyway - screaming babies and dirty nappies were really not his thing - Lewi decided to call upon his good friends the Pancakeses over at Pique Hearth...

Married at First Sight - Day 8
As the final day of week two dawned it was Cory’s turn to lean on Julian for help and advice. He rustled up some pancakes so they could have breakfast whilst they talked but Julian preferred to tuck into yesterday’s spoiled tofudogs.
When Lauryn joined them she was was dismayed not only with Julians disgusting food habits but also with the fact that he seemed to be investing more time and energy into Cory and Chesney’s relationship than he was their own.
Having slept on Julian’s advice, Chesney decided to express her feelings for Cory with an embrace, but he was not at all receptive.
He tried to explain that he felt that things were moving too fast, without hurting her feelings.
Later Cory was once more confiding in Julian, who felt guilty about giving Chesney bad advice when she spoke to him last night. If these two spent as much time talking to each other as they did talking to Julian maybe things would be going a lot smoother!
Cory at least got to experience some vicarious romance today - seeing how well Venkat and Riley complimented each other (both literally and figuratively) really gave him a warm and fuzzy feeling inside!
Hot-headed Briella, meanwhile, was getting increasingly frustrated with her game of Bitblock, but fortunately Melany was on hand to calm things down and stop Briella from destroying the show’s property.
Julian - who has apparently spent at least the past 24 hours in his swimming trunks - finally gave Lauryn some of the attention she was craving by complimenting her casual babysitter outfit. It was not much, but apparently it was enough to show Lauryn that he still had at least some interest in their relationship.
Later that afternoon Chesney received a visit from her neice, Londyn, and they hung out in the study for a while.
Once it came time for Londyn to leave she was seen heading off with one of the books from the study shelves. Apparently a compulsion to steal publications runs in the family!
As afternoon turned into evening Cory joined Chesney in the study and they sat and chatted for a while whilst Chesney played Sims Forever. Looking at her screen, it seems that her sims are getting more love than she is! Wonder if Cory will take the hint?
