What to do if you suddenly find yourself homeless

FOOD

Find your nearest food bank or mission, for food

grocery stores with free samples, bakeries + stores with day-old bread

different fast food outlets have cheaper food and will generally let you hang out for a while.

some dollar stores carry food like cans of beans or fruit

SHELTER

Sleeping at beaches during the day is a good way to avoid suspicion and harassment

sleep with your bag strapped to you, so someone can’t steal it

Some churches offer short term residence

Find your nearest homeless shelter

Look for places that are open to the public

A large dumpster near a wall can often be moved so that flipping up the lids creates an angled shelter to stay dry

HYGIENE

A membership to the YMCA is usually only 10$, which has a shower, and sometimes laundry machines and lockers.

Public libraries have bathrooms you can use

Dollar stores carry low-end soaps and deodorant etc.

Wet wipes are all purpose and a life saver

Local beaches, go for a quick swim

Some truck stops have showers you can pay for

Staying clean is the best way to prevent disease, and potentially get a job to get back on your feet

Pack 7 pairs of socks/undies, 2 outfits, and one hooded rain jacket

OTHER

i just finished vol 2 and honestly it wasn’t good. vol 1 was actually pretty good and introduced so many new concepts which made it super interesting to me. i had high expectations from vol 2 but all we were given were rushed deaths, random endings, cliche tropes (mike tells eleven he LOVES her and omg she saves the world wowow so original) and a sh*t ton of sad gay who’s in love with his supposedly straight best friend. the episodes and storylines just seemed unnecessarily rushed. i could see that the duffers tried to put in “representation” but jesus christ it was horrible. let’s take a look at it; firstly Will pining over mike through the entirety of the season in the most cliche’d trope. secondly, robin and vicky. don’t even get me started on that - how much was their total screentime? 3 minutes??? and that too looked so rushed and forced and came out of nowhere half the time. i’m sorry but they really messed up with this season especially when it comes to vol 2. at this point i don’t even have high hopes for s5. anyway thank u for reading my rant, drink some water and have a nice day <3

why did we see Max's letters and not have anyone read them. why did they big up Jason creating a mob when nothing happened. why did they have Eddie say he wasn't a hero then die saving no one. why have will be in love with Mike and not say it to anyone. why introduce new characters just to kill and neglect others. why have so many storylines that are essentially meaningless. why-

 Ok  so let’s break down the trailer cause …. a lot is happening.

-We see El went of her own volition back to the lab with Owens, to gain her abilities back (because he tells her , her friends in Hawkins are in danger). However, the act of shaving her head -almost seems out of character with Owens?  Which makes me wonder if somehow he’s in kahoots with Brenner? or Brenner intercepted the car of owen’s. Obviously after she gains her powers she escapes -either via her telekensis or because Sullivan’s men infiltrate the base.  she is also wearing the same suit she wore when in the sensory tank, from s1.

-We see in a prior teaser the Byers and Mike being shot at, which imply a clear division between Owens & Sullivan. In this trailer we see  a helicopter at night come- my guess, after El left, Owens told one of his men to guard the Byers and Mike. And the next day they’re shot at.So why does Sullivan want to k*ll them in the day (in a residential neighborhood with many witnesses)… why does he see them as such a threat to bring that many men? Weird… 

-We see the zombie character open his eyes in a similar fashion to El in her 002 teaser. Most likely implying a connection between the 2. Also El -flashback of her attacking someone in rainbow room.

-“The eye of the storm” goes back to the mindflayer storm imagery (mentioned in prior seasons) . The Hawkins crew literally find a void in the Creel house to go into the upsideown aka “other side”.  They then bike to “forrest hills” trailer park. forrest hills is actually the home town of a sketchy usa scientist back in the day who experimented on vietnam soldiers, but I digress(interesting eastergg though). it’s possible they may believe someone is alive there- hard to say why they’d go into such a dangerous place. We see everyone get separated at some point. Eddie alone at trailer park. Dustin and Steve fighting creatures separately. Lucas screaming (at the creel house, most likely hallucinating). We see Steve swim to the opening of the closed- gate as well.We even see El (in lab attire) in upsidedown.  We also see Max at the upsdiedeown-school and later fall into a pool of  bl**d and be chased by a demogorgan or new zombie-like creature.

-  Billy  & Will both have March birthdays. given all the past zombie imagery (of Will) maybe the zombie like corpse is Billy’s??? We see at the grave Max talk to Billy. The boys come to comfort her. And after she’s levatates and is upset over the experience. perhaps she flevated because some part of Billy did hear her words. The spider-zombie man is clearly the next monster surrogate: since the mindflayer and the s3 fleshmonster had a similar spider like appearence. And it’s possible the monster is targeting Max because some part of Billy is still in there?

-Max’s monologue implies most of the crew isn’t doing healthy mental health wise. Not shocking…

-A body is discovered and right after it pans to Chrissy cheerleading. implying it might be her. Whether this is a fake death or real is hard to say given the history in this show with deaths. It’s reminiscent of the Will fake-death scene. And the sticker that says 12 is even more suspicious  to me…

-something very weird (who are these people) this blonde woman and child is this supposed to be a flashback? is this chrissy and her mom??? the shot before this scene is chrissy frightened by the same monster that chased Max (impying so). I know I sound crazy but I said for months Chrisssy may have powers and isn’t just “another heather”. But we will see…

- the bats in upsidedown/creel’s house remind me of the rats from s3. 

- Soviet union is clearly weaponizing the demogorgan. And perhaps testing it’s ability to fight with prisoners. someone uses fire- a good weapon since fire and heat are the weakness of the monsters.  It’s similar to the scene of Hopper using a flame-thrower.

- eddie really looks sketch … playing guitar.  (Benefit of the doubt) maybe the bats are sensitive to sound and that’s why he’s playing. once again we see Eddie in front of the skeleton skull. Billy had skeleton skull -tatoo. And that foreshadowed his death… Maybe he distracts the monsters at the trailer park allowing the others to escape. We did see Steve attack a bat -so they’re clearly a threat . 

-We see Steve and Nancy  …but who is that next to them ? is it el , will , chrissy? They have bangs so not max- and it’s obviously not Dustin or lucas. 

- the skate rink …. really showing the love triangle (and Will being sad). I know the rebel robin book, Robin has to skate with her guy friend Milton , since everyone wanted her to date the guy. She even held hands while skating with Milton. weird parallel to show. hmm. XD

y’all after seeing the trailer i’m so fucking scared that stranger things is having its riverdale arc especially cuz of max floating 😭😭😭 i swear if this season has a bunch of random ass bullshit plottwists or an enormous amount of cgi with no storyline (ahem s3 ahem)

Ik I should be fine with the fact that Will isn’t there because he’s doing something important but I just can’t shake the feeling that he won’t have much of a presence anyway.

it’s definitely intentional, like they told us literally last year that Will was gonna play a major role in the season. Noah even started shooting way before all the other cast members. And even if he wasn’t going to have a major role, they would have atleast put a little bit more sceentime for him just for the sake of showing his character, but they didnt. they specifically didn’t show Will (except for probably two shots). I have a feeling his character has a major turn in this season or in volume 2. and honestly the trailer not showing him that much actually has me excited to see what they’ve done with him this season. or i’m just going about this all wrong and they did him dirty just like s3 lol but oh well

not enough will byers in that trailer for my liking
