I’m at point in my life where those close to me are navigating similar complex problems and either don’t have the energy to check in and chat or prefer to avoid conversations about challenges altogether.

glassware reminds me of
school dances and plastic cups
dreams of future elsewheres
of clothes that are mine, worn
and wrinkled by my heat
of dancing and songs of cheers

This phobia of being forgotten. Instant gratification spoils romance. What happened to certainty? Knowing what you need and wanting it now. Can I call this certainty? Expecting the Universe to follow…

On Memory
2 Sides to Every Story: “Just right,” the yellow-haired monster said, before she swallowed their only dinner.
When my mother and I argue, there are always two sides to the story we write together. I said this, she said that; I meant this, she meant that. I find it interesting how memory can play with us, and how we can play with memory. My earliest childhood memories could have been moulded by…
