Finally finished drawing the scene in Closer Still chp 8. First version is with Miguel’s lab lighting and second is without.

Excerpt from chapter:

Wearing Jess’ yellow glasses, Peter wall crawled up the ceilings as quietly as possible.

‘Look at Miguel through my glasses.’

He knew they were tech glasses so he went ahead, clicked on the sides to zoom in like she had shown him until he could see Miguel properly. His eyes widened. It was a known fact that every universe had a different look to them, a different style, so to speak. Nueva York was not an exception and Miguel. He’d noticed the curved lines slightly coming off Miguel’s shoulders before but looking at his face with Jess’ glasses - Miguel’s face had curved lines mapping out his features.

If anyone was curious about *some* of the layers that went into Gabi’s quinceañera dress (CS chp 10 spoiler).

Base purple, then about four layers of magentas/blues/purples, then a layer for the tulle (only used one color) but i changed the opacity of that layer so the colors underneath could be seen, and then the sparkles.

My first attempt at drawing MJ. I colored the sketch. This is a concept of what her dress looks like in Come a Little Closer, a Miguel/MJ focused (but poly with Peter B) story on ao3. which is a date night in Nueva York with Miguel.

I also got her in the deep red lipstick 😉.
