The only reason ATEEZ aren't more popular is because they don't have a fluent or even semi-fluent English speaker who can connect with the kpop fans who need to understand what's being said to care about the group. ATEEZ have to rely entirely on their talent, charm, and music.

#BTS had Namjoon which helped a TON during their Western interviews #skz have the Australians + some semi fluent members which again really helps #like the amount of people I've seen say they started stanning skz bc of Chris' v lives... #p1harmony have keeho which is lowkey why casual kpop fans know them at all #so yeah ATEEZ are busting their asses to learn English #but there's such a distinct advantage groups with native English speakers have #which makes you appreciate how far ATEEZ have come even more

(me, a bitter soul whose rewatching 2521 even though the ending broke me) the fact that them having a happy ending would've made more sense/been more realistic for them, than them being apart and never speaking a word to each other again... like??? even if it was realistic for them to break up (which it wasnt in this case), they def would not have been the type to avoid each other. they would've been those people who would've stayed in touch and still wanted the best for each other even if it they werent with them while actively being in their lives cause they meant SO much to each other. i'll never forgive the writers for literally making yijin and heedo be out of character so hard just to follow the narrative that "young love doesnt always last" like pls you're telling me yurim's superficial relationship stood a chance + being long distance, while baekdo, who literally been through that as friends, couldnt??? WHAT? god here i go again...

no bc I went to bed SEETHING!!! I couldn't even bring myself to watch the last two episodes!! I thought Heedo was acting all shy and awkward during her live interview with Yijin because he was her HUSBAND by then </3 I literally yelled "WHAT." when he congratulated her on her wedding 😭

When I googled the ending and learned that not only do we never meet her husband, but that Yurim and Choi Hyunwook's character ended up married, I was so confused 🙁😩 it's cute that Popular Guy is so ride or die for his girlfriend and they end up tying the knot, but it's so unfair that the main pairing got paid dust by comparison! It doesn't erase all the wonderful, stomach-butterflies moments Heedo and Yijin shared and I can definitely say this is the only slice-of-life kdrama that's kept me hooked, but mannnnnn...way to fumble the bag. I've never been this disappointed with a kdrama's ending. If I ever rewatch it, I'll definitely just watch the first 13 episodes and leave it at that :'(

#unrelated note #I completely skipped through the parts with her daughter #aside from her reactions to the story mirroring mine almost exactly LOL I found that part of the plot pretty unnecessary #took me out of the immersion a lot #but anyways I WILL be drawing scenes from this kdrama with my own characters/ships inserted #it's so good when it's not breaking my heart #the cinematography and writing are excellent #I haven't stopped to just appreciate the scenes and settings in a kdrama before like I have with this one #tvn 2521 #twenty five twenty one #kdrama

Hey! I'm SOOO behind on unOrdinary, but I came across your post about just sending asks. The series is SO well done, and the characters all tug on my heart in different ways 💖💖💖

it literally is so well done 🔥🔥🔥 I've been reading it since 2017 and aside from a few arcs (*cough*joker*cough*), it's been a massively steady and entertaining thing to look forward to every week. I really have to appreciate uruchan's storytelling abilities! Even from the earliest chapters, you could see her setting down the bread crumbs about Ember, the officials, Vaughn and Keene, etc. Now that we're finally delving into the world outside Wellston as the students fight it, her writing shines even more!

I love the new characters she's introduced like Kuyo and Kassandra (my fave adults) and it makes me so happy to see the Wellston royals actually getting along 😭 cuz I don't know about y'all, but if John smashed my face into the concrete and broke my arm and generally effed me up, I would NOT be forgiving him. You could argue some of them deserved it, but regardless, having them all unified as this passionate team who want change while still having their individual goals has been exciting to watch come together. Love this series so much :')

Golden Hour really was their new album name huh. Conflicted, because I'm not fond of that name (reminds me wayyyy too much of that viral jvke song), but also because I'm apprehensive about what they'll sound like this era. I'm hoping for at least a little more Treasure-era music, or even a little more upbeat Fever-era stuff. Just like,,,no more auto tune or whispering or Seonghwa rapping. No cursing.
