Been on a Felino kick because of @yawngearyoie​ and I created an AU, because of course I did. Full body concept art below!

I’m not terribly good at naming heroes, but we have Dechat or Descat, based off the word dechante in French/descant in English. Basically, it’s a cat pun. Originally, he was going to be called Scat (Cat), but I was told scat can also mean poop, so...... not a good look. Then we have Sir Fortune. He wants everyone to refer to him by his title, but most people just call him Fortune.

Also, I’ve drawn maybe 2 masculine characters in my life, please no judgey.

@manbehindthebeast Hello, thanks for all the replies to my post! I’m going to reply in this format so it’s a little easier, if you don’t mind.

Well, I’d believe that Zoe would be the one to help Chloe change for the better if Zoe actually seemed interested in building a healthy relationship with Chloe, one that is built on trust instead of lies and secrecy. Did Zoe actually say one thing that was true to Chloe? “It doesn’t matter if you try to send me back to New York!” Lie! Zoe hated New York enough to flee to Paris.

At this point in the narrative, Zoe and Chloe don’t have a healthy relationship, between Chloe being her usual mean self and Zoe lying to her. Zoe cannot help Chloe at this point. That point would be after Chloe is akumatized, because Zoe would see that her lies are actually very hurtful. I don’t think Zoe realizes that currently. Their development will coincide.

“You may hate me, but I love you. And I always will, even if the whole world hates you… sister.” She’s actually quoting lines from the movie she was in. There's probably a degree of truth to what Zoe is saying, but be honest. It sounds like Zoe is bluffing. Zoe doesn’t know if she will still love Chloe even if the whole world hates Chloe. It’s not like she knows everything.

I know that she is quoting the movie, but I think people have a hard time conveying emotions verbally and Zoe probably used that as a crutch since it’s something familiar to her, something she has said a lot through practice. We don’t know how true it is, but considering Zoe was written to be everything that Chloe isn’t, I doubt that she had malicious intentions or that she didn’t mean it.

Not to mention that’s it’s generally considered disrespectful to respond to someone by quoting lines from a film. I assumed she quoted the lines in order to rub it in Chloe’s face that she was the one who would play the lead role, not Chloe.

Is it really disrespectful to do that? I’ve never heard of that before. Probably something than varies person to person. Honestly though, I don’t think it would be effective to use that line from their movie to rub it into Chloe’s face because I doubt she even bothered to read the lines from the original script or if she did, remember them.

Like you said, marinette facilitating chloe and her mom finding “common ground” was probably the worst thing she could’ve done in terms of chloe becoming a better person since most of her bullying behavior comes from emulating her mother. That’s exactly why it would make the most sense for Marinette to play an important role in redeeming Chloe. At least Marinette needs to acknowledge that she wronged chloe. Not to mention, Marinette is the main character of the show, so you can't say it wouldn't make sense for Marinette to play an important role in redeeming Chloe.

Since Marinette has to involved in (mostly) every conflict in the story, I do think Marinette would have a role, to some degree, in Chloe’s redemption, if she will still get one. Since I think that Chloe and Zoe will have development at the same time, I think Marinette will probably be the one to push them in the right direction, but overall it would be best and most impactful for them to start and finish their development together. Marinette being involved in making Chloe a better person is pretty divisive though, since Chloe has been expositioned as Marinette’s bully, so it might not go over well in the fandom.

I disagree with this take. I think losing everything will make Chloe even more convinced that power and control are what matter. Chloe will just decide to be more manipulative around people just like Lila. The lesson Chloe should learn shouldn't be "selfish people end up alone, and power can't bring happiness" because very often that's not true. The show itself doesn't support this worldview. People like Audrey and Bob Roth have shown the audience that you can be selfish all your life and still have fame, a devoted family, and power. Basically what people perceive as success.

Well, I disagree with that lesson too. Selfishness and the desire for power aren’t things that are necessarily negative or evil traits. People are selfish because we have several needs that need to be fulfilled and many people are ambitious and want a higher station in life. (The real issue is desiring excess, which Chloe does, but that’s not the major lesson she needs to learn.) The lesson Chloe needs to learn is to not be a mean bully. She needs to learn to be empathetic, and not treat the people she loves like servants and the people she doesn’t like living emotional punching bags. I’m not convinced that Chloe losing everything would convince her that power and control are what matter because she does have power and control, to some extent, and she still lost everything. I think the biggest example of this will be Sabrina. She has total power and control over Sabrina, but Sabrina will most likely leave Chloe. How would that convince her that she needs more? Locking someone in your closest to do your bidding sounds like absolute power and control to me. Unfortunately, I do think Astruc can and will have Chloe dig herself further into her evil character grave, even if it doesn’t narratively make sense.

Theorizing Chloe B’s Next Akumatization, Hopeful About Execution

Note: This post contains spoilers for Queen Banana!

With the end card of Queen Banana showing a purple Chloe, I think it’s safe to assume she will be akumatized again.

In Queen Banana, Zoe lies to Chloe that her charm from Ladybug is actually a gift from their mother, which makes Chloe actually want to wear it. It will protect her from akumas for now, as shown at the end.

However, with Chloe continuing her path of destruction and self-sabotage, she has lost her friendship with Adrien and I don’t think Sabrina is too far behind, hopefully. The charm would keep her safe from akumatization, which leads to the nail in her proverbial coffin:

Chloe discovering that Zoe lied about the charm being a gift from their mother.

This will be Chloe hitting rock bottom, narratively. Lower than Miracle Queen, lower than Sole Crusher and Queen Banana. Or at least it should… In this situation, Chloe has no friends and she has realized that the person she wants love and approval from does not love her. To Chloe, this will be the ultimate betrayal from Zoe. Chloe will feel like Zoe lied about their mother loving her, because Chloe seems to equate getting material possessions with parental love. It will be the biggest lash out that Chloe will show, because she is completely alone. It is to be seen how Chloe feels about her dad “siding” with Zoe, but it’s probably a negative feeling. Chloe will throw away the charm from Ladybug, leaving her vulnerable to akumatization.

Now that Chloe is officially at rock bottom, hopefully the only way for Chloe to go is up, of course this is entirely dependent on her writers who may chose to keep pushing Chloe down and make her a villain, but there is one person. 

At the end of Queen Banana, Zoe tells Chloe that she will always love her, even if the whole world hates her. Chloe would be feeling betrayed by Zoe, but I think that Zoe can apologize and connect with Chloe because Zoe understands what it’s like to have Audrey as a mother and to seek approval from people who don’t truly care about you. In this situation, we can once again see Chloe drop her mean girl schtick and be truly vulnerable, but with Zoe instead of Ladybug. In this case, Zoe understands where Chloe is coming from and why she does what she does because she was in a similar position. Allowing Chloe to have a genuine connection with Zoe can immensely help with positive development. Allowing Chloe to stop idolizing her mother (and hopefully a divorce between Andre and Audrey, I mean come on dude! Stop allowing this woman to be around your kids!) and move on to a different person she can idolize who is good (and hopefully not a kid her age) can help her unlearn her negative coping mechanisms and move forward in her life.

This is basically fanfiction, but it would be nice if it actually happened like this!

Aside from that, here’s Marinette and Chloe’s designs! They’re very incredibly loosely inspired by Ancient Chinese soldiers armor, but I, again, would like to do further research into the clothes. Oh! I forgot to mention that I gave Marinette a slight redesign. I wanted her to look a bit more like her dad!

Yes, they do use real weapons in this AU, I thought it would be exciting, haha!

Okay, honestly, I don’t have much material to work with since I need to do a lot more research, but here is everything I do have!

In Miraculous Ladybug, they take on a lot of Chinese influences for the Lore and Story, especially in the form of the Miracle Box. However, I never really understood why the Big Two Yin and Yang Miraculous were a Ladybug and a Black Cat. With this in mind, I had two ideas for a reworking of the Miracle Box. The first one that I scrapped was to change the main two Miraculous to a Dragon and a Phoenix. The Dragon and Phoenix, mostly the Dragon, are revered symbols in China. The Dragon represents Yang and the Phoenix represents Yin, and they’re attributed to the Emperor and Empress, respectively. For Girl Power™, Marinette could use the Dragon and Adrien could use the Phoenix. I still like this idea, but I really wanted to cut down on the amount of Miraculous there were, which leads me to my next idea that I decided to go with: 

The 5 Heavenly Beasts. Although, only 4 would actually be usable. (Although I am playing around with 2 more, which I’ll discuss later!) The 5 Heavenly Beasts are The Black Tortoise of the North, The Azure Dragon of the East, The Vermillion Bird of the South, and The White Tiger of the West. The fifth is The Yellow Dragon of the Center (sometimes people call it Qilin, which is a dragon like creature) and is only able to be summoned for a wish by using all of the other 4 Miraculouses, since they’re all essentially Gods and all equally important. It took a lot of deliberating, but I was able to assign all of the Miraculous to a holder.

The Black Tortoise is held by Gabriel. It’s not really clear as to why or how Gabriel was able to come across the Miraculous in the first place in canon, so I thought it would be interesting if Gabriel was initially training to be a Guardian! The Guardians are chosen to be essentially divine servants. Of course, now there’s no particular reason for Gabriel to be chosen as a Guardian, especially since he isn’t from China and doesn’t live in China. So, I was thinking Gabriel could be partially Chinese? Maybe his maternal grandma? So, he would be in China because of his grandma, sure. Haha.

The Azure Dragon is held by Marinette.

The Vermillion Bird is held by Adrien.

The White Tiger originally is not held by anyone. However, Marinette accidentally drops it similarly to the Bee and Chloe picks it up. She doesn’t reveal her identity and is more of an anti-hero who will randomly appear at times, especially if it involves Adrien. As the battles become more dangerous and she’s had some close calls with her identity, she will eventually enlist the help of Kagami. They are united with their common love of Adrien, although not romantically. They both care about him as their first and closest friend. Chloe will also be the first person to suspect Gabriel! (Also, the White Tiger is associated with Autumn which is associated wit chrysanthemums, so she can still be a little yellow!)

Since the Heavenly Beasts are related to cosmology, I was thinking of also adding 2 more Miraculous for the Sun and Moon, which are represented as a Crow and Rabbit. They aren’t as powerful and aren’t needed to summon the 5th Heavenly Beasts, but I just love Alya and Nino! 

The Divine Beasts choose their own holders, and don’t choose holders unless absolutely necessary. I mean, how often do you need Heavenly intervention? Well, definitely when Gabe is using the Heavens power for his own selfish reasons. The Divine Beasts can also take the form of humans, which is how they scout for holders. Also, I think it would just be hilarious for the Divine Beasts to attend school with their holders, and they’re internally laughing about how strong fate is since all 3 of them managed to end up in the same class. Not to mention the Divine Beasts interacting with the other classmates. The Divine Beasts are also known as The Four Symbols and have 7 astrological Mansions, which are related to the positions of the moon, I believe? I was going to try and shape their powers along that and have the holders “unlock” more powers. I need to do more research though!

Okay so I remembered the ladybird au and I had another Ladybug! Sabrina and Black Cat! Chloe idea, and then I realized that it probably wouldn't fit in that particular version of the concept. So this is a separate au with a similar premise, EXCEPT!

Chloe and Sabrina show up on the first day of the new school year, and immediately everyone can tell that for some strange and unknown reason, they can't stand each other. They hate each other's guts.

And it's so weird and out of nowhere. no one has heard anything from them all summer, and honestly not a lot of their fellow classmates interact with them anyway, and it seemed they liked it that way. they usually just stick together and don't need to hang out with anyone else.

But now? They are staring daggers at each other and no one knows what happened they won't even sit together, completely disrupting the class dynamic by changing the seating arrangements.

And then the new Heroes get along so well, it's like they've known each other for years.

Funny how that works.

So basically the story is piecing together the mystery of how their friendship fell apart over the summer, if there's anything to be done about it, if anything should be done about it, I'm just exploring these characters as individuals as well as the relationship to each other, in and out of costume.

Anyway sorry for the long ask this was just a really fun idea I had but I wanted to share.

OH MY GOSH I LOVE THIS??? I just love when relationships fall apart and piecing together the mystery of the why and how. I just love character focused stories I think, lol.

Neither of them are particularly close with the other classmates, so I feel like it can be prolonged for a while~ and I think I just like the Secret Identities where in one iteration, they like each other but in another they don't. I find that dynamic more complex and it's interesting to find out why!

Never a need to apologize, I love to read about everyone's ideas. There's so many great and creative people in this fandom! Also, it's always nice to hear from a fellow Sabrina Lover!!!
