Cracky headcanon: With Seto trying to duel Atem again (*side eyes DSOD*). Malik 100% will fly to Domino just to bitch slap the man and tell him no. And that there are five movies that explain exactly why we don’t use the science to bring back the dead and numerous other films that explain why magic shouldn’t be used either. 

And after, he will walk off muttering about “Atheist assholes having no respect for the dead because of a fucking card game. Some people need to really get a life or a hobby.”

Happy Birthday Marik!

There are so many subtle things about this drawing that I wanna bring attention to: like how he isn’t wearing the gold jewellery, or how his hair is a little more ruffled and his lax demeanour. Or how he is by a window, basking in the sun. All things that I think would carry significance on his birthday specifically.

So, essentially a bunch of headcanon interpretations about Marik’s character that’s based on canon material.

There are so many scenarios that I can imagine for Marik’s birthday, and this is just something that I can imagine happening in the case that Odion/Rishid and Ishizu/Isis aren’t around for Marik/Malik’s birthday. Marik doesn’t have a lot of happy memories associated with his birthday, and with their emphasis on kind of rebuilding their familial bonds by the end of battle city, I feel if they weren’t around for Marik’s birthday, they would definitely at least call. Ishtar family time makes me super soft (*´ω｀*).
