These two have faced a new, unfamiliar feeling. Sometimes it scares them, and the world being cold, unjust and dangerous doesn't help.
But they have their bond, they're each other's safe space and quiet harbor, and when they're locked in tight embrace the darkness out there seems to fade.

I've decided I want to immortalize that one piece of 2006's show in Stuttgart - soft blue tinted, glorious and... alluring. With a little J&R moment because it's too darn cute to miss.

This is how it would be if I was an OFC in a self-insert fanfic about my beloved rock band with time travelling to their early years.
80s... Imposed toxic masculinity - sometimes it met some resistance, but much more often it was given up to or just embraced to the fullest. Queer rocker boys forced by their money-hungry management, record labels and rock/metal environment in general to act mAnLiER and to suppress their true self. Despite of delightfully androgynous appearances of 80s bands, when it came to their views, values and everyday life decent part of them were toxicly masculine, sexist, misogynistic and/or homophobic.
What a time to live in (I really love this era aesthetically very much though). And what a time for me to interfere at last with my determined, believing and loving slasher soul.

Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora in their previous incarnations as duet of bards in medieval Europe (I'm thinking Italy). So I guess you can say they're still in the 80s, but it's 1480s.
Here I imagine them being kind of travelling musicians - in this particular scene they're performing on a medieval fair, connected to some seasonal festivity; and there always are other places for them to play at, as well as to meet their fellow musicians. I'd say they're doing great.
Aside of aesthetic there's another reason why I chose middle ages as a setting. Sometimes I learn things that make me think we, our society, our rules and laws and those cishet men of power who write them, are still mentally living in some clone of the ancient world. This feeling haunts me, and it's my healthy way to express it, apparently.
I love the result, and I love being inspired again after such a long period of emptiness. Great thanks to fandom for making me feel alive.

No will to draw, no will to paint - mid of summer is the most uninspiring time for me. But luckily I have this little sketchbook illustration of wild flowers growing nearby, on my street and on surrounding ones, which I made a month ago. With pink background it looks like some glammy herbarium to me.
I searched for these flowers' names, and turns out pink ones are Malva sylvestris (з милою альтернативною назвою "калачики лісові"), and blue ones are Cichorium intybus.

God knows why but for a long time I wanted to make an art dedicated to the most divine drink I love - hot cocoa on plant based milk. It somehow warms my heart when I drink it, especially if I manage to achieve this mesmerising thick bubbly foam which under the right angle shimmers with all colors of the rainbow.

Once I had a dream: a perfectly beautiful room I hope to create for myself one day. Where I'll feel safe and in peace, and whose aesthetic I will just adore. Sadly, I forgot almost everything about this dreamy room - except for one feature, it was just engraved in my memory: there were decorative hand painted plates displayed on the wall, and each of them pictured a mermaid.
So I decided I want to draw this room of my dreams, and those mermaid plates especially.
A living space of which I dream went through some serious changes during the recent years of my life. I remember when we studied art history in the university how I was obsessed with medieval architecture and interiors, and how I thought what a fun (and what a mood) it would've been to live in romanesque or early gothic castle, or at least in a little lonely tower.
Then my lust for whimsy became a bit more modest, and for some time I imagined a mansion built in one of those styles as a place to live.
After that my longings narrowed down again, and in that point of life I was saving plenty of images of both cute and tiny cottages and simple apartments.
And here I am now, subconsciously dreaming about just decorating a corner in my own way.
Isn't it amasing how the dream gets smaller and smaller when it faces our world of money? What a miraculous exhaustion of belief in fairytale.

Made only now this little portrait, a thought of which didn't leave me since I've seen photo of Mahsa Ami̇ni̇ who died after morality police arrested her for wearing a hijab in a wrong way.
How absurd is this - none of mortal souls must have such a power over others' personal choices. Stand with Iranian women - they're fighting against something giant, swollen and very, very old. Something that doesn't want to go quietly.

That feeling when you are Ukrainian scrolling ukrainian news feed.
An already monstrously big neighbouring country hates you and wishes you death, few others support and help her, so here, get a shelling at queue and missile strike on crowded shopping mall, both ended up with victims.
And wipe the tears off the screen when you're done reading, babe.

This post I want to dedicate to the earth.
I rarely meet her myself because the city surrounds me.
But I love her. And I know exactly that a lot of people in my country have with her much deeper connection. They work with her putting in this a massive amount of time and efforts. They take care of her and appreciate her - for the fruitfullness and for the fact that she just exists. Earth is if not sacred (or is it) than at least definitely very important. We owe her a lot.
That is why it's very hurtful for me to read some of news which regularly appear since the beginning of russian full scale invasion. I wrote down a few:
· russian troops are digging tranches and building fortifications along the perimeter of Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.
· occupants blew up the ammunition near the power unit, and that started a fire (this power plant is biggest in Europe, damage of its explosion would be worse than one of Chornobyl disaster).
· russian missile flew dangerously low above South Ukraine nuclear power plant.
···
· occupants launched a missile strike on the chemical plant and hit a cistern with nitric acid.
· because of fighting there was an ammonia leak. Cloud is moving above the grounds.
· during bombings russia destroyed the only in Ukraine and one of the biggest in Europe gene bank of plants where more than 160 thousands varieties from the whole world were preserved.
· a cholera outbreak started in occupied Mariupol.
···
· occupants shelled a tractor working in the field - driver was seriuosly injured.
· russian troops destroyed by missile strike an elevator which was able to preserve up to 30 thousands tons of grain.
· russia stole more than 400 thousands tons of grain on temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine - this can lead to the famine in some regions and in the number of countries. Now russia's trying to sell the stolen.
This is outrageous disrespect for others' work and for how much to this work the earth had given. This is awful unconcern for environment, nature, soil. This is selfishness which has no boundaries - only to show their illusive power and satisfy the ego - their or their master's - people are ready to cause a destruction scaled like nuclear explosion.
How many more tortures this earth is able to endure?
