Bro I remember seeing that Shifu had a love interest back in the day for the first time I was absolutely s h o o k e t h 😂😂😂 Shifu was my fav character (and still is tbh) so yea that was a wild trip

I kinda feel them seeing the other again was extremely awkward, sort of how you would feel after seeing a classmate after many many years or smth... basically it was just really WEIRD. Not sure if this genuinely happened in the show since I haven't seen that episode in a long time but either way...

Speaking of which idk if they ever genuinely got back together but who cares lol. I see them as just distant mutuals.

Back in the day Mei Ling would know EXACTLY what to say to fluster Shifu, so she would tease him sometimes it was kinda funny ngl

I mean Mei Ling kinda gives that kind of vibe anyways.. Shifu got used to it really quick lol

Mei Ling stole a writing utensil from Shifu without him knowing in their primary school years and she never gave it back. To this day, she still has that writing utensil.

Shifu definitely chided Mei Ling on not doing honorable acts and basically was the more responsible one out of the pair, he was successful in getting her to not at the beginning of their friendship (and relationship ig) but later on it got harder and harder to convince her what she was doing was wrong

So eventually she just made up her mind, though I think a small part of Shifu still believes she can change. Quite stubborn but that's just how it is ig

Y'all think Shifu wonders about what went wrong and where it went wrong? Like I feel he holds himself very accountable and thinks about what he could have done differently to not lose Mei Ling like that, though a part of him knows that nothing would have made anything different

Also this whole shabang is a part of his past that he does not speak about but of course when Mei Ling showed up to the Jade Palace that got slapped in his face

Cant remember how the actual episode went but to me Shifu should have/definitely pulled the "we're not on speaking terms" card for a while LOL. At least not until he felt ready to confront Mei Ling. There was probably feelings of anger and also just confusion, because like.. what

Do people have any interest with a redemption arc between these guys?? I don't really care but idk wouldn't it be kind of cool if they can be on at least okay terms

What's your HC on Tai Lung x Song (from KFP: Legends of Awesomeness)

Ooh this is something unexpected 👀 but I'm definitely up for the challenge!

Okay so needless to say this duo is a very unexpected one, for one Song makes her first appearance in a time where Tai Lung has been defeated and killed.

Well in this context it would be "killed" seeing how we're gonna shove two leopards with each other (lol-) but yeah

Who you wanna bet wears the pants in this relationship /j

Also none of them can really cook for sh*t-

I think an attractive trait for both would be their ability to decieve, and they both have a unique sense of humor (snarky)

I feel Tai Lung would find Song's use of her umbrella as an aid in combat is really interesting? Like she's got the stealth and the body type needed for agile, efficient fighting, perhaps there is a story behind it.

And ofc as we all know there is, Ladies of the Shade and all whoop whoop ✨ and I think Tai Lung would find it very interesting to know that Song is now the leader of that group :)!

I kind of think maybe Song motivates Tai Lung to also follow a more honest path? Idk man I think that would work out pretty fine.

Like although Song probably wouldn't be aware that Tai Lung used to be this power hungry guy all because he didn't get the Dragon Warrior title, likewise he wouldn't know that Song had some sort of affairs with Po, eventually they probably would know it about the other...

But it doesn't ruin the relationship at all, cuz it's like, "oh well that was in the past, and I'm actively trying to be a better person." More on Song's end than Tai's maybe, but it still applies to him to some degree

Anyways idk man it's just one of *those* relationships ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ some fixing up here and there and then it's all good

Song seems like that type of person who would have a knife or smth strapped in her clothing cuz "a girl's gotta be prepared" and Tai Lung is like 😗😗😗

For reasons that I think are obvious they wouldn't hang around anywhere near the Valley of Peace so they'd be a couple on the move, so kind of like those people that live on the road yk?

Tai Lung is STILL the ultimate daredevil. Like as much as Song loves to venture out and do risky things even she knows when is the limit. BUT on the occasion the roles do switch 👀 so it'd be more dependent on the situation ig

Hi, surprised to see a blog dedicated only Kfp hc's, but a welcoming surprise nonetheless. I know Legends of awesomeness is kinda a black spot here, but I grew up with it, so can I ask you hcs of Croc and Fung, if they were brothers?One being an ex-thug turned master maybe could try turn it up his little brother into a more honest life style?

WAIT THAT SOUNDS SO AWESOME OH MY GOODNESS YES, also LoA ain't too much of a black spot anymore lol, at least not the first half of the show

Let me make it clear that while I haven't seen the whole Legends of Awesomeness, I have seen enough to make it make sense so if there's something missing I do apologize for that

It's kinda uncanny at how similar Fung's life is to Croc's bandit life... literally both good people at heart but have been mislead/unsure of where to go and how they're going to play out the rest of their life

And I know there's that weird alternate backstory with Secrets of the Masters but let's just ignore that for now lol- speaking of which, I think I'd make more sense for Croc and Fung to be cousins?? Age gap seems to be too big for siblings but idk how crocodile aging works

I think they'd be quite distant brothers. Or cousins. However you wanna see it. I don't think they'd have too close of a bond but they're not completely alien to each other either.

I think because Croc is a kung fu master, he would heard a little about Fung and his circle of croc bandits? I don't know if they'd be significant enough to catch the attention of anyone else other than Shifu, the Five, and Po, but you never know, they do occasionally get themselves involved with some big stuff ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Croc would probably send a letter to Fung asking him to meet up at a particular spot and adds "(brings your friends)" along with it, probably freaking Fung out because like... w h a t

I think Fung would be slighter familiar with the name, it's just he's hardly heard from him since they live such different lives and live quite distant from each other as well. Perhaps he is aware Croc is a kung fu master, but I'd say the chances are really, really low.

Anyways he still goes, with his friends, he knows about his brother/cousin, maybe this could be something interesting. I think having this letter come to him while he's down in the dumps about his bandit skills and being a disappointment to his dad would be miracle timing but it really depends on what y'all want it to be, I'll leave this piece of headcanon a little bit open for personal interpretation :)

He (and his friends, no doubt) is super blown away by the fact that they just arrived at the quarters of a kung fu master. Fung had no idea his relative was so much better off- while the others just think it's cool djdjdjd- what could they possibly do to serve this kung fu master? Are they doing to get a deal off of them, in return for their service they're gonna get something real nice?

Well yes but actually no- it's nothing too formal despite how "formal" the letter seemed to be, it was just a brother wanting to see his sibling after like idk who knows how long, it's quite casual

I feel like this encounter would be a really humbling moment for Fung, and after hearing how much Croc understood him (because he once too had been in the same position of his younger relative) it was like the world had offered him another chance

I think Fung is totally up for abandoning the thug life, one because he never really got anything out of it- and two, even if he did, he'd end up just feeling really guilty afterwards

He would probably be a little scared he'd lose his friends but considering the episode where they all gravitated towards Po. The circumstances were indeed different but his thug friends are also just misguided dudes

So yeah, Fung and the bois are very eager to take on the opportunity to live a more honest life style and Croc is without a doubt very much happy with this and for them

Hi, any "Po hugging his friends individually" headcanons.

It is fluff o'clock everybody

First off, let me make it very clear that Po is THE best hugger EVER. Literally. If he sees you feeling down he WILL give you a hug. He's awesome.

Btw if he has other friends out of the movies I uh- unfortunately would not know about it since I've only seen like half of Legends of Awesomeness and never watched Paws of Destiny, so I do apologize for that lol

The person he huge the most is Tigress. I wonder why that is the case... 👀🤔 /hj

Like previously mentioned he'll hug his friends if he sees that they are down and look like they're in need of one, but he'll probably also do it in a way to show his appreciation for them at times and probably also for celebration purposes also

I'd like to add that Po would hug you more often if you're a close friend, but he's willing to hug you as well even if you're just a mutual, although if you're too distant of a friend chances of him hugging you for a reason other than he notices you're sad are very low

Po gives BIG hugs and they're always so comforting too

I feel like he basically hugs Tigress whenever he can but he still has the braincells to not do it so excessively it's weird, like he'll do it under proper context

Hugs between Po and Monkey are brotherly hugs. You see, when there's this huge accomplishment the homies deserve a celebration

Tbh that could be said for anybody, like it's just a friendly hug xDDD (although for Tigress it could mean something more, but maybe not !)

Crane gets a little nervous upon physical contact, he's not a huge fan of hugs but he does appreciate Po trying to make him feel better with his hugs :) but it also depends on the situation cuz we saw at the end of KFP 2 he didn't mind the hug at all (it was a group hug but still)

I can't say much for Viper and Mantis??? Esp Mantis, he's too small for hugs, but I mean Viper could work since Po did hug her in KFP 2

Hi hi! 💜 (You don't have to do this one if it makes you uncomfortable) but how do you think Li shan x Jin (separately) would react if they woke up and their partner wasn't there with them, so they were looking for them and instead found a suicide note from them. Could I have same headcanons on how they would react/feel to the letter? And some headcanons on how they would feel if they saved their partner just in time and some where they were too late? Li Shan:

He wakes up in the morning to find that Jin is not by his side. Kinda strange since she usually is. Maybe she's making breakfast but there are no smells of food coming from the kitchen. In fact it is oddly quiet. Huh.

Maybe she let for early morning errands? Or went out for something else? There would be a handwritten note on the nightstand then, but there is nothing there as well. Suspicion number two that something is up.

Maybe she got kidnapped during the night?! But there are no signs of a struggle.. and Li Shan probably would have heard it, too. He's not drugged because he doesn't feel anything different, unless that's what the drug did, but it comes back down to no signs of a struggle. So, what's going on?

Maybe she's in the other room, doing something else? That's probably what's happening, there are no other options, too. Li Shan gets out of bed and goes into the other room to look for Jin.

She's not there, which sends him into a slight panic before he sees a piece of paper. A note, probably, on where she is. Thank goodness, he doesn't know why she decided to leave it in the other room but she must have her reasons.

He picks up the paper and starts to read through it, absolutely unaware of what he is about to see.. he is beyond shocked as to what Jin was written for him, and almost doesn't believe that this is real.

It basically is like some sort of apology letter, where Jin describes everything she's felt and how horrible she feels that she's done this, but feels like her departure will be the best for him and everyone else, and for her.. it's absolutely heartbreaking.

Li Shan always thought her timidness, her slight nervousness, was just a result of her being a little shy.. NOT because of something more than that.. he had no idea and he feels horrible because he didn't help her at all. Didn't even bother to ask if something was up.. the guilt is mounting on him.

He feels like it's all his fault, he should have done more... If he had helped in some way, shape, or form, it wouldn't have led to this...

He never forgives himself, he probably ends up k*lling himself, too. He just can't handle the pain and the guilt. At least he'll be with his love again if he is dead...

If he caught Jin just before she k*lled herself, I'd imagine that he'd catch her walking out the door with some pills clutched in her hand, or something of that sort. Maybe a poison, if not pills.

He runs up to her and catches her shoulder, asks her, "Where are you going?" He sees her flinch and look down at the ground, avoiding the pills/potion she has in her hand, and whispers, "I'm sorry you had to see this..."

Li Shan goes, "Huh? What do you mean?" and goes on to add that if there's anything bothering her, she can tell him... that's when Jin just completely breaks

She feels bad for feeling the way she's been feeling for so long, depressed, s*icidal, she has a caring partner and yet...

Li Shan promises to get her the help she needs, death isn't the answer, it's a permanent solution to a temporary problem...

Jin:

Ditto, but Li Shan's note is on the nightstand next to her in the bedroom, so she assumes maybe he went out to do something before breakfast (in which she's wrong)

Also his note is just the words "I'm sorry. I love you."

Jin doesn't really understand at first so she goes to search for him. First in the house. Then the village. She calls for him for hours and doesn't understand why he's not around. Did he run away?

She probably gets the news from someone else that he actually committed s*icide, I guess he was probably showing hints of it outside the house, he didn't want Jin to see cuz he didn't want her to know...

Jin basically just shuts down. She's so devastated, she literally cannot handle the news. She probably requires hospitalization because of how terrible her health becomes (this would be like in the course of a few days or smth, maybe hours at shortest?)

She keeps the note on her at all times, it's the last thing she has of her beloved, she can't afford to lose it

She probably wants to k*ill herself too so she can be with Li Shan.. but knows that's not what he would want, she has to keep living for his sake.

If she caught him before he committed s*icide she'd catch him out in the rural areas of the village. He would had died via weapon, so stabbed himself or smth

She smacks the weapon out of his and cries out, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?!" and throws her arms around him, she can't believe she came just in time

She's been aware that Li Shan has been acting odd but thought he was probably just a little down/stressed, nothing more severe...

She makes him go to therapy, she does everything she can to help, she will not let him go just like that...

Now, I haven't seen the entirely of Legends of Awesomeness but I have seen enough to get the general idea LOL

I feel like at first Peng's similar appearance to Tai Lung (well I mean... duh) doesn't really seem like much to Shifu at first, he's just like "oh well another snow leopard"

His good kung fu skills probably start to tickle at him a bit, but he tells himself "it's just a coincidence" or smth, like there's no way this kid is or could be anything like Tai Lung

I can't remember if in the show he was told that Peng was Tai Lung's cousin (I lowkey thought it was nephew but idk I forgor) but regardless of that, I feel like that piece of news is legit a slap to Shifu's face

I think Po was told that Peng is related to Tai Lung but if not oh well, anyways it was a pretty big shock to him that this was a relative of Tai's, it's basically whatever Po felt but like 10x harder for Shifu

He wants to believe that Peng is nothing like Tai Lung, as much as Po does without any worry, but he really can't help but wonder... what if? Just what if? Chances were small, but not zero...

Peng's elevated ability in kung fu reminds Shifu too much of how gifted of a student Tai Lung was, before the darkness overtook him. Peng obviously does not have the thought of becoming Dragon Warrior with him, but there were always other sources of turning evil...

Shifu is pretty good at hiding stuff from people so it's no problem for him to treat Peng like he would with anybody else, he would never let Peng know about his previous connections to his uncle (?), especially not after he learns that Peng wants to know what happened to him.

Shifu wonders, how is he going to react knowing that he is part of the reason why Tai Lung succumbed to the darkness? Would he understand that he did all he could to try and stop that, but all his efforts went into vain? He probably won't even want to hear it.

And ngl it would be a bit awkward for this kung fu master to suddenly be somehow related to you in a way but that's not the main concern here

Nonetheless, Peng is NOT Tai Lung, no matter what his brain tells him, he is simply related to him. Evil is not genetic, nor is it inherited. That reason alone is enough for Shifu not to treat him any differently than he does other students/people.

But I feel like Shifu would try to be a little more cautious about how he expressed himself and other matters, like he'd go about things in a different way than he did with Tai Lung, anything to not fail Peng like he did with Tai. Basically, he's prepared to be a better teacher towards Peng.

Peng eventually does make the decision to not pursue kung fu, because he himself is worried about potentially succumbing to the darkness, and while Shifu sees this as a bummer, he's also kind of... glad he's not pursuing after kung fu.

He would have loved to help Peng become a great kung fu master, but he wants him to be safe more than anything. If quitting kung fu is the way to do it, then so be it.

Hi love! (Btw sorry if I'm bothering you, you don't have to do this if you don't want to) but How do you think Li shan x Jin would react if they found the other badly injured, unconscious and bleeding out a lot. Like they didn't see their partner in several hours so they got really worried and decided to go looking for them.

And how would they react if after they woke up they flinched a lot afterwards and didn't really respond to anything? (I'm sorry if this didn't make sense or was too much) thank you for everything I love your writinggg💜

I kind of already did the first half of this ask here, even though it's directed towards the other not making it, but it covers the main points, so imma just answer the second part lol

Li Shan:

He kinda freaks out that Jin isn't responding to anything, he waves his hand in front of her to try and get her to pay attention to him but gives up after seeing that she's pretty much just zoned out

He's really worried about her and wants to speak to her, the doctors have to specify with him that because she's lost a lot of blood, she's having a hard time concentrating, so she won't be very respondent

Li Shan immediately feels bad for being so noisy now and quiets down, still terribly anxious that Jin will be every unresponsive but he understands that it's just the result of having sustained a lot of bad injuries

He tries to do whatever the can to help Jin recover but that means he needs to be quiet often and not make any wild gestures, he probably also has to give her a lot of space which means not being able to stay in the same room as her

He's not too happy about this but he admits that it's about what's best for Jin, not what's best for him. So he obligated with what the doctors ask of him.

He probably asks the doctors really often when Jin will get better djdhdhd he misses being around his love :[

But like at the same time he's so glad that Jin is alive. Obviously not in the condition she's in right now but she made it. Would've been a lot worse if she didn't

Jin:

Jin is a lot more understanding that Li Shan has gone through a lot and he's in really bad condition, she is worried that he's not really responding to stimuli but it's natural for someone that just lost a lot of blood

She starts to get really nervous about it though, because, what if Li Shan stays like that forever? What if he never recovers?

She probably also consistently asks the doctors on Li Shan's condition, if she can help, but it kinda gets to the point where she feels bad for asking and bothering them so much so she kinda just falls silent on her own

She starts getting so worried and anxious to the point she has to leave the room Li Shan is in for long periods of time, she just hopes that Li Shan understands that it's not because she doesn't care...

She tries to stay by him whenever she can but of course, she needs to take care of herself, it's great to be worried about someone you love cuz yo that means you are but she shouldn't ruin her own health

how do you think po and tigress would confess to each other-

I have a feeling the day that IF the creators of KFP actually make Tigress and Po a couple, the fanbase would just break DJSDHJSSJ but ofc idk and this "if" is probably a really big one

I know this wasn't asked but I mean like it's relevant so- I want to say Po would confess first but I think Tigress would have the bigger guts, like she'd be more straight to the point

Which leads us to what was asked if this headcanon request, Tigress keeps it pretty simple and doesn't make it complicated, it's basically "I didn't really like you as much first that after we grew closer together I realized who you truly are, and that I was wrong the while time, I like being in your company and I've been contemplating this for a while.now but... I love you." Or something of that sort

Po would go on and on and he might start telling his whole life story if Tigress doesn't stop him in the middle and says that she gets it, like I can see her placing her hands on his shoulders and telling him with a smile "I get it. I love you, too, Po." 😭💕

They would very much confess to each other in private but I feel like if it's somewhere around the Jade Palace, you'd have Monkey and Mantis eavesdropping on them in the background cuz they made a bet on who would confess first LOL, maybe even when as well

They would both be really nervous prior to the confession, I think Po would be a bit more "jumpier" and energetic than usual and Tigress would spend a lot of nights awake trying to convince herself that everything will be fine

Po would have the larger worry since Tigress isn't known for showing other people her affection, but at the same time you could argue Tigress has a pretty big weight on her shoulders too since she never shows Po she cares about him unless in extreme situations, so would he even believe her if she said she loved him?

I feel like maybe Tigres would ask Viper or Should for reassurance? Perhaps Crane as well, she trusts they're not gonna go off and be like "ooooh she's gonna Po she loves him!" Or smth idk

However I think if Crane were to get asked "hey man I need some confession advice" it'd be Po, honestly I think he'd be desperate enough to ask like everyone except Tigress LOL, even his dad

He probably freaks out and goes about all the wrong ways to try and get his son to open up and tell him what's wrong, like idk maybe he yells at him for not eating

He's just worried for his son but he's really bad at figuring out what is the best way to help, and that's kinda where Mr. Ping steps in

He probably yells at him first to shut the frick up before telling him how he's doing it wrong and how he's supposed to go about this

Li Shan asks Po what's going on, and Po is reluctant to share at first, he says that it's "no big deal" which is obviously a lie

Li Shan is not pleased at him trying to lie when everything about him says otherwise, and he tells him that it's okay to ambitious about his work and stuff but he needs to take care of himself and his body first. His health is MUCH more important and that should be top priority.

He is able to convince Po to take some time off from work and recover, then take a week or few to go out and enjoy some adventure

Mr. Ping is quite opposed to that at first since hes worried that Po is going to grow anxious about missing out on work and Li Shan feels the same, but he says that a break never hurts

Like Mr. Ping, he doesn't let Po go back to work until he's eating again and hack to normal, he also offers some massages to help him relax from time to time

Mr. Ping:

This isn't something too new to him as he's seen Po really stressed before and have that stress affect his daily life, probably not as bad as this tho

He has to help Li Shan calm the frick down and have him understand that force of any kind will not so Po any good, it'll just make him more stressed and less likely to listen to them

He tries to make Po some light foods, stuff that he won't have a hard time digesting like uhmm chicken noodle soup (but since Mr. Ping is a goose, wouldn't that be a little.. uncanny? Idk lol-), and it helps Po for a bit but eventually even that doesn't work

He starts to get really worried too and he can now see why Li Shan was freaking out and trying to force him to eat something when this first happened

He tries to get Po to step back from his work first so he can properly recover, but Po insists that he has to do it, or else so and so will yell at him, this and that is going to happen, etc etc

Mr. Ping frowns and says that whoever he is doing the work for probably doesn't want him working so much to the point he kills himself, and gives the example that if he were to have somebody employed for his noodle shop, he wouldnt have them work until they drop dead

This doesn't really convince Po too much so Mr. Ping just gets Li Shan to help him out and whatnot

He invited Po to do some cooking for fun, he doesn't ask him to help around with the noodles as that will make him more stressed, he simply just bakes some stuff with him for funsies and good bonding time :)

He doesn't let Po go back to work until he's eating right again and he's rested up good and well 👍

for shifu he would be devastated by lilys death and kind of temporarily revert back into the way he was before after tai lungs betrayal he just felt like he failed her as a mentor and as a family figure to her and he’s also saddened because she was always there keeping him company and making sure he was okay it’s become difficult to shake the loneliness too and he was with her so much that he can’t break the habit of having two of the things he has like meditation she was always there with him

Something so accurate should not hit so hard

If Shifu didn't know who Po was, he'd probably be one of those hip dads that tries to act cool but ends up just making things really awkward LOLOLOLOLOL

However he literally IS one of those cool dads, somebody said under a video about him "Shifu is simultaneously 70 years old and 17 years old" and I have never agreed more, homie's got a good sense of humor

In theory, he shouldn't be too worried about Tigress dating Po, because "oh she'd set him straight" but there's also the concern of.. "goodness gracious my daughter is dating an idiot"

And!! Sometimes Po's shenanigans rubs off on her, I forgor which LoA episode this was but it's the one with the spirit orbs (forgive me if there is a lot about that but it's in season 2 if that helps at all-)

He's actually surprisingly pretty okay with it, I feel like if Po and Tigress started dating a lot earlier Shifu would be like "NO" cuz it took a while for Po to really settle in with him

Like he was still kind of somebody that was going into kung fu without any prior proper experience so he could have been a little hesitant

But he's kinda just like "eh okay as long as you still do your training" and stuff like that

WOULD 100% NEVER LET PO "TAKE TIGRESS HOME" UNTIL THEY GET MARRIED OR SMTH LMBOOOOO

He'd be like "what?? Take her where?? The Jade Palace is BOTH your homes-"

For all of that though, he's no helicopter parent, he lets Tigress do her own thing and basically lets her handle the relationship herself, after all, it is HER love life, he's just around to help her if she needs it, or if he feels that he ABSOLUTELY needs to step in (which is pretty much almost never)

And also he trusts Po a lot, he doesn't think that he'll ever do something bad, and if a breakup happens it'll be handled maturely and in the right way, so he's super supportive of their relationship 💖

Tigress doesn't know this but Shifu is planning on throwing the LARGEST wedding he can possibly muster for when she and Po get married. He's got a whole freaking binder with all the plans and whatnot-

Probably the hardest TiPo shipper out of anyone, doesn't show it but like he loves how Tigress and Po can get along so well

I headcanon that the person that she got along extremely well with in or out of battle surprisingly was tigress even before she knew of her origins she understood why tigress was like that and opted to hear her out as she doesn’t really voice her opinions often unless it’s something important she also helped her overcome things she struggled with like voicing her emotions through something she likes doing

Bro I dead drop dig this idea Lily and Tigress being friends

...but to be honest, I dig anything that implies that Tigress is friends with someone LOL I think she was my favorite KFP character back in the day but I forgor, anyways I think it would be cool to see somebody so serious and all have a soft spot for people

I may have a solution to the "unable to give blog away" issue. If anybody has an alt email I could send the blog to, I could send it to that one, and then you could transfer this blog from your alt to your main from there.

I only say this because the email I am using for my Tumblr account is not my personal one. I always use the alt email for all online things, I'm wondering if anyone else does the same somehow.
