Joseph does that and more. He pulls him into a close hug. An understanding hug. Its something he clearly needs, as seen with his frustration over a heartache Kianga cant move away from. Joseph can only do one thing. Help him in pushing his energy that he needs to burn off. Even if he wants to bow out, even if he wants to yield because he sees Joseph as his Alpha. Joseph pushes him. "You can't let all of that out if you hold back. You have to be serious if you want anything out of this." He told him firmly. Today, Joseph wasn't his friend. Today, he was the boy's father. And a father would push his boy to be his best when he was at his worst.

The hug was appreciated and soaked in as much as he could take before the urge to keep fighting overcame him. It would be several more days of this he knew and thus did he give into his father.

"I know."

That was all he said before he pulled back, a flick of the ear given in recognition and leapt away to the far side of the field. Now giving into his territorial nature, the hybrid bared his fangs and began it all over again in letting out his frustrations with his father's guidance, as well as him being his opponent.

But no doubt by the end of it, both would be exhausted and Kianga would be able to sleep out several days of peace.

It's finally her birthday! Today she is six and today she's been kept busy by the pokemon, unaware that her parents are making her a chocolate cake and have bought her a few things that she likes and or has shown an interest in wanting, but the biggest gift of all was waiting for her in the form of a very special gift that thankfully Volo had procured.

... but who's to say some other gifts couldn't be sent before the day was over?

Joseph sees that Kianga has been on edge today. So he had pushed him all day. Pushed him with sparring.

He just knew that there was something wrong. And it was all he could do. Sometimes you just needed to let the aggression out.

He's letting out his emotions full force against his father, low growls and pushing his father just as much. It's only when he's at his limit that Kianga comes to his senses, but there's a somber feel about him as he finally sits down, bowing out of his father's sparring. His father was still the alpha of this territory when Kianga wasn't in the acting so and thus Kianga relents.

He tells his father of his frustrations that he had not met Juno sooner. How he wishes he could have been the one to save him and have him by his side... and yet he accepts that there isn't anything he can do about it. Without Sylvia, Juno would not have the confidence he does, nor would Eris be around. Juno would never have met Nora either. It's in knowing this that Kianga finally lets the tears flow.

He's still hurting from the loss of Parker -- he always would, but his heart aches just as much for Juno in a way he can never be with him as his mate. He accepts that, and simply goes day by day, but Spring makes it harder to deal with... and thus does Kianga in his Zorark form approach his father for comfort, asking politely in the Zoroark way of a small bow and a grunt before nudging his hand for head pats and a hug if he would allow it.

Donovan rejoins the group, carrying a book about Golurk, and pats Willow's head. "Since I'm here, figured I could check out a book on Golurk. Still got stuff to know about Atlas. I would've brought him with me, but being in Unova sets him on edge." Professor Xavier nods to Ashe and Leon, a sad smile on his face. "And we would've accepted you with open arms. I don't need to read minds to know there's a weight on your shoulders. But Leon is correct, Willow will have every opportunity to grow here." Before he can say anymore, Donnie winces as Willow pulls on his face. "Ak! W-willow! Softly please!" He gently takes her hand, sighing. "Definitely her mother's daughter." Once he checks out his book, he leads the group back to Xavier's office. "I think today is meatloaf day, if I recall. Usually they deliver meals to the Professor, so they'll just bring our meals here."

"Makes sense. Golurk are native here but they were used for... well, not nice things if my history is right way back when the Twin Kings still ruled." Ashe sighed at that, only to see Willow acting out. "Willow!" A scolding tone which has Willow sinking down a bit. "So'ry..." She murmurs quietly. At the mention of her being her mother's daughter, Ashe gives a sour look at her friend to which Leon can only chuckle at.

With everything in the past, there wasn't much the parents could say on where they had ended up -- after all, they probably wouldn't have met one another and Willow wouldn't be here either.

"Meatloaf, huh?" Leon can't recall ever trying it until he came to Unova, but just like Ashe, Willow did love her meat. "Meatloaf actually sounds great right about now." With that said, Leon approaches Donovan to take Willow off his hands, setting his daughter down and gently ruffling her purple locks. Taking her father's hand, Willow is led back over to Ashe who gently runs her fingers through her daughter's hair as she clings to her pants.

"Well? Care to lead the way to where we'll be eating?" She asked towards Donovan with an amused look.

"Well, I'm glad you're doing alright." He pockets the letter, and smiles as Willow lets him know about the season change. "Really? I forgot all about spring coming around." He opens the door to her room, the same one she fell asleep in the first time she visited with her parents. "Well, what the birthday girl wants, she shall receive." He sets her stuff down, and motions to the backyard. "Flanenry is here. She's trying to train her new Larvesta. Wanna go bug her?"

Willow's eyes lit up at the fact her godmother was here and the word 'Larvesta'. "MAMA FLANNA HAS A LARVE?" She asks rather loudly and excitedly all at once. "Les go! Go go go go go go!" With that she's taking her godfather's hand and yanking him at mach speed in a direction that likely isn't the right one. Mostly while she loved her godmother, she wanted to see the Larvesta. Seems someone had already chosen her first pokemon...

- Multiverse: Sinnoh’s Lunar New Year Race ‘24 occurs -

XX24 Early (1): Willow is “born”. Her birthday is decided as April 19th.

XX24 Early (2): Willow’s education becomes something of importance and Ashe and Leon decide collectively as a family with Donovan's input to have her attend a special school where she can be her instead of hiding what she is.

Interest checker for a Pokemon Boarding competition taking place across four different tracks. Would need some mods and judges since this would be my first big competition i'd be hosting.
