Hello Everyone, I finally have a hundred chapters to Return of the Survivors. If I had known it would be this long, I probably would've broke it up into parts, but we're almost to the end now. Below is a small selection. Please use the links above to read more.
Chapter 100 - A New Apprentice
Luke fastened his belt around his waist.  Then he reached under his coat and pulled out the lightsaber from where his Master instructed him to hide it.  He gave it a little spin, testing his ability to arm himself swiftly.  It appeased him, and he gave himself a little smile in a nearby mirror.  Then he reached back to rehide his weapon, and turned to leave the room.
Entering the flex space where the battleplans were being explained to the multitude of Jedi and Rebellion personnel, Luke nearly ran into his Sister.  The girl reached out after making a startled sound and hugged her brother.  “Oh Luke.” She then pulled away with tears in her eyes.  Han was there immediately to wrap her in a hug.
“‘Don’t die, stupid,’ she means to say.”  Mara had her arms folded.
“I-aaaah I don’t intend to.”  Luke stammered.  “I am armed, and this is our best chance of stopping this thing.” Luke reached forward to pull his girlfriend closer for a kiss.
“Luke, good you’re here.  We need to go over the extraction plan one more time.”  Anakin reached over and interrupted him, mid pucker.
With a huff and an eyeroll, “Alright Dad, I’ll be along in a minute.”
“No, we want you along now.  Come on.  Han, will you take Leia and Mara to the supply room?”
“Yes sir, Master Jedi, sir.” Han inclined his head slightly.
Luke held in a chuckle.  His dear overprotective father thought he was being clever when he assigned Leia and Mara to a relatively safe role of supply disbursement.  It’s too bad that won’t last.  If Luke were a betting man, he’d have his money on his Sister and Girlfriend both sneaking into the groups going down to the battle on Geonosis.  And Han would probably be talked into helping, too.  “I’ll see you three later,” he said with a wink.  Luke wasn’t a believer in luck, but he did not want to end this conversation with a goodbye.  With a showy, proud jaunt to his step, Luke turned in the direction his father was beckoning him to go.

Story Summary: A time traveling Grandmaster, to the Prequel Era, trying to fix the mistakes the Jedi made, and get rid of a certain Sith too. Only Time Travel is not that easy, as Yoda will soon learn.
Hi all,
Today I published a new chapter to Time Travel: To the Past Yoda Goes. Below is a small selection. Please use the links above to read more.
Chapter 68- Darkness
30 Years ago:
Yoda looked up at the time-piece against the wall and sighed.
“Master, I won’t say I didn’t tell you this…” Dooku growled from the other side of the chamber.  “In fact, the whole council warned you about his fit as a padawan.”
Yoda tuned out his previous Padawan’s lectures, and he turned around the room to pace again.
Suddenly the door opened and a teenaged boy with dark skin, and long brown hair, fastened back in dreads, timidly walked in.  Unsurprisingly, he seemed to immediately sense the judgment from the masters in the room.
“Well, there you go then.  I’d love to stay for the grilling, but Qui-Gon will be taking his trials next week, and I promised him to help him prepare for it.”  Dooku made his excuses and quickly skedaddled from the room, making sure to glare at the boy before he left.
The other Masters soon did the same, and Yoda was alone with a youngling that refused to look up and give him eye contact.
“You’re angry, Master.  I know it was a risk, but if I'd had a few seconds more time, I could have made it work.  And then…”
“Angry, I am not… Disappointed, I am.”  Yoda corrected.  The boy’s face fell.  “Recovering from severe burns, two other Padawans are.  Included in their number you almost were.”
“But if Master Rancisis hadn't pulled me away, it wouldn't have exploded.” He sighed.  “I know everyone thinks I’ve fallen to the dark side, or that I’m flirting with it, or something.  But I haven’t.  I'm just tired of everyone waiting for me to fail.”
“Padawan Windu. With me, come.”  Yoda said, and the youngling looked up in surprise.
He followed Yoda down a seldom used lift to a part of the temple few Padawans had ever been to.  Technically it was a part of the Jedi Archives, if anyone looked at a temple floor plan.  But those who knew what it contained simply called it, ‘The Dark Vault.’
“Sense what, do you?”  Yoda asked.
“Power, there’s a lot of it down here.”  Mace answered.  “Hey, if we have all this, why don’t we ever use it?”
Yoda glared at his Padawan, and subtly used their new forcebond to remind him why they were having this conversation in the first place.
Mace shuffled a step back and corrected his wording, “I mean the Masters, of course.  The criminals wouldn't stand up to this being used against them.”
“Of the start of the Jedi-Sith Conflict, how much do you know?”  Yoda asked.
“Ancient history now,”  Yoda responded with a glare before the youngling could make a comment about his age.  “Uh, The Jedi were the original Force-users.  They used to use the whole force, light and dark, and…”
“What?”  Yoda asked.
“Huh?” Mace responded with.
“Original Force-users our predecessors were.  Distinguish between light and dark, they did not.   Because Dark yet, the force was not.”  Yoda paused to look up at his Padawan.  Mace looked even more confused than he usually did during a Force-Physics class when his instructor started ranting in Rybese.  “A time for living, all things have.  And a time to die and rejoin the Force, all things do as well.  Both, a part of the Living Force, it originally was.”
“So then what changed?” Mace wisely asked....

Story Summary: A time traveling Grandmaster, to the Prequel Era, trying to fix the mistakes the Jedi made, and get rid of a certain Sith too. Only Time Travel is not that easy, as Yoda will soon learn.

Chapter 67- A Hiccup
Anakin turned around to look, and stretched his Force-senses as far as he could.  Then he sighed in disappointment.    Yoda had gone off to get the artifact alone.  All because he alone, apparently, knew the passcodes to the doors and the secret boobytraps in the Vaults to get it out.  Or that was what he told them, anyways.
Dooku had been reluctant to let him go alone, but was now leading the youngsters in Meditation.  Even a few of Jango’s ade were sitting around, pretending to follow along.
Poison Spitter and Jango marched in circles around them, each keeping an eye out for anything unexpected.  Poison stopped in his circles and went to check on Siri.  She was sitting, trying to help Dooku’s lesson, but she was feeling uncomfortable for some reason.
Jango stopped too, and came around to see what was going on.
“Kaysh cuyir yaihadla bal te ik’aad aalar bic’be buir’be dar’jarkiv” Anakin could not understand any of what they were saying.
“Shi kih haryc.” Siri answered them.  “Ni ven’udes sa vi slanar.”  It felt like she was trying to reassure them.
Anakin turned away from their conversation and tried to reach out to Yoda again.  It would’ve been easier if he had a bond with the Grandmaster, but he didn’t.  He hadn’t even thought about forming one until just now.
“Okay everyone, we are going to reach with our minds to the light.” Dooku instructed them.  “Anakin, are you reaching?”
No, Anakin’s mind supplied, but he didn’t say this outloud.  He silently rolled his eyes and started to do the meditation exercises Dooku was leading them through.  Maybe, they would help him expand his senses, like earlier meditations with Master Mace had done.  It was worth a try, anyway.  ...

Chapter 99 - Begging
“Angel Please,” Anakin begged.  If he was able to, he’d put down the commlink he was holding and bow before his wife’s holo.  He’d already explained to his wife about the risk to Tatooine, and sent a ship to pick them up.  His mother and step-family were already on their way out of the system.
“Ani, this is the first time in all of its history an elected council has formed on Tatooine.  I can’t abandon it now.  We have massive evacuations to plan, and a refugee settlement to set up on Utaruun.  I have to make sure everyone gets transport offworld, even the Tuskens and poorer moisture farmers.  I will be there, once our work is finished.  I promise.”  Anakin nodded.  He knew his wife would try to get out, but he also knew she wouldn’t leave anyone behind either.  It was one of the reasons he loved her, but today, it made him worry.  He would worry until he got that message from the rebellion officers saying his wife was in transport offworld.
“I understand.  Hurry, okay.”
“Okay love,” Padme blew a kiss at the holo, and then with a blink, she vanished.
Anakin ran to another room, and instructed the men who were working, “Tell me you have news.”
“No sir, not yet.”
Anakin had sent a team in to verify intelligence they were receiving from the rebellion, suggesting the Death Star 2.0 was unfinished, and still inoperable.  He sighed at the lack of news.  “Alright.”  It was looking like they were going to have to leave to attack it soon, even without the data.  Especially when an Imperial Flagship was detected on its way to Geonosis.
The door opened and a gray-haired Obi-Wan walked in.  Anakin knew why he was there.  He left the men at their info-booth, and walked towards the Master.  “No news yet.  You have any luck?”
Obi-Wan put on a very tight face, and responded.  “No.  Satine is determined to start a government on a soon to be dead world.”
“Uh huh.  Padme too.  Well hopefully we will be able to do something about that soon.”...

Hello all, I've published a new chapter to Time Travel: To the Past Yoda Goes. Below is a small selection. Please click one of the links above to read more.
Chapter 66- Eyn Dini’la Dajun
Jango lifted himself from his hiding place and shook his head.  Not only did his armor stay cool to keep his insides from cooking, but his helmet had a special layer to protect him from the pressure of the explosion.  Jango saw Dooku poking his head up from the inside of a nearby building, but his Ade were all obediently staying where he’d left them.  “Bic cuyir morut'yc.  Gar liser olaror dayn jii.”  (It is safe.  You can come out now.) he told them.
Everyone came out of their hiding places.  Jango did another silent count of heads to make sure all were with him.
“Anakin! step away from the wall.”  Dooku hollered at one of the Jetti younglings.
“I’m just looking at it.”  Anakin rebutted.  “Is that where we’re going to go in?”
“Indeed, a large enough hole for entry, that is.”  Yoda studied the rock wall.
“Yes, that should get us in fine now.  Thank you for your help.”  Dooku nodded.  “Ray toor shay me.  I’m sorry I don’t know the words in Mando’a for Goodbye.” (Ret’urcye mhi, maybe we'll meet again)
“You act as if you expect me to ba’slanar haar aka dar’ani. (To leave the mission incomplete .)  I assure you, I have no intention to leave this battle unfinished.”
“But you don’t understand…”  Dooku started.  “Our old comrades were infected, taken over by Sith.  They will look like Jedi, but no evil will be below them.”
“Darjetii…(Sith) Yes.  Ba’buir (Grandfather) Yoda explained it to me on our way here.”  Jango turned to his younglings and instructed them, “K’am Tracy’uure at mirshir.”  (Change blasters to shock/stun.)
Every youngling pulled out their blasters and dislodged the one attachment, making them a weapon any pacifist would be proud of.
Dooku blinked and shook his head.  “To our knowledge, even a non-force sensitive was possessed by these sith.  If you go in there, there will be no way for you to defend yourselves.”
“And you would rather go in alone, dar’tome, separated from your people.  Where is the strength in that?”
Dooku looked down, clearly speechless.
“Now, the interior is ground I’ve never actually seen a floorplan of, but it is your yaim, your home, I will look to you to guide us.”
“This way, come.”  Yoda crawled into the hole and entered an old room.  It was small and squarish with a doorway, missing a door, on the opposite wall.  Through this doorway appeared to be a hallway.  Yoda closed his eyes and seemed to be meditating...

Chapter 65- Breaking Down Walls
“YOUNGLING, put down that box.” Dooku ordered.  He looked down at a time piece. It had only been an hour. ‘How in the force has it only been an hour? Qui-gon was never this much trouble,’ The old master grumbled.  When Yoda left to go meet Jango and his Mandalorian clan, he’d decided to take the two Jedi shadows with him.  It was logical, after all.  They were a lot younger than he was.  And then Tol, his eldest, volunteered to go with them.  Dooku was proud of him, and grateful the others welcomed his help.  The only hiccup was that left one possible youngling sitter among them, and he’d apparently drawn that straw before he’d even realized it.
“But GrandMaster,”  Anakin whined.
“No Buts.  This is a storage shed filled with unknown cargo.  There could be a Blaster in that box.”  Dooku lectured.  And it was true.  A lot of worse items could be found in transport cargo, especially in the section pulled by scanners as being potentially illegal cargo.  As it was for the items in the hold they were hiding in now.  Sure, with the Force he could settle that worry, but then with the sheer number of boxes in the storage compartment they were hiding in, it was far easier to command the younglings not to touch anything.  He’d forgotten how helpful having his older apprentice, and a palace filled with servants was.  It was something to consider if he ever gets to apprentice any other fallen jedi.
“B… I was trying to get to your comm.  It fell back there, and it's been going off.” the youngling explained.
Dooku looked around in confusion, and felt for his comlink in his pocket.  It wasn’t there.  Then he remembered checking it earlier when one of the younglings came in squealing about something.  ‘Where did I put it?’ He went over and bent down to look behind the box Anakin was trying to move.  ‘There it is.’  He used the Force to pick up the comlink, then activated it to read a message from Yoda.
“With us, Jango Fett is.  Outside of the hangar, meet us.”
Dooku sighed, “Alright everybody, it’s time to go.”
Youngling Anakin reached out again to a box.  Dooku gave him a very firm eye and growled at him, “Mmmmmmm.”  The youngling backed away, and Dooku used the Force to gently restack it with the other boxes in the shed.  “Line up, by the door.  There ya go.”  Dooku counted the younglings, all eight were there, and in one piece.  And so he opened the door.  “Follow me now.”

Chapter 98 - Betrayal
Anakin walked Mace-Ti into the make-shift recording studio they’d built on Beskarn.  It didn’t have all the bells and whistles of the professional studios making his wife’s, and his if you promised not to tell anyone, favorite dramas.  But it did have what he thought he’d need to credibly make it seem like Mace-Ti was anywhere in the galaxy he wanted.  In truth, Anakin was quite proud of his little set-up.  Most of it was salvaged from junkyards, but he could see a bunch of faked messages leaked to the empire, leading them farther and farther astray.
Anakin stopped and gripped the eighteen year old’s shoulder.  “Remember, as far as he knows, you’re home.  With the family I found to adopt you.  He doesn’t need to know where that is.”
“Is it okay that I called you Uncle Anakin, in the last video, I mean?”
“Yes, if he asks, just tell him you call all Jedi an aunt or uncle.  There’s no need to get into the specifics.  Try not to name any names, and more importantly…” Anakin paused.
“Don’t tell him it was your step-brother who adopted me.” Mace-Ti filled in the gaps.
“...” Anakin shrugged. “I meant to say, more importantly, be yourself.  But yeah, that’s a good subject to avoid.  Anyways, there is a very brief delay to the recording, so if you do say anything you shouldn’t, I will be able to stop you.”
Mace-Ti nodded.  “Thank you, Uncle Anakin.  I never thought I’d ever have this opportunity.”
Anakin smiled and rubbed his nephew’s back.  “Be yourself.  I’ll be right outside, if you need anything.”
Mace-Ti turned at the last moment, threw an arm around Anakin and squeezed.

Chapter 64 - Guilt Trip
“Okay, are you ready to make the call?”  Dooku asked the eager younglings, who all quieted instantly.
“In a minute.”  Young Anakin had just finished his breakfast.  He went to pick up his dish.
“I’ll get that.” Alex offered.
Anakin wiped his mouth one last time on the napkin and got up.  He walked over to Dooku, then took a deep breath.  “Okay, I’m ready.  Don’t know why I’m so nervous.”  Dooku tried to smile at him in comfort, but his own anxiety was simmering under the surface.  The boy didn’t even know how last ditch this effort was.  Or that his grandmaster had formed such a drastic plan B.
Dooku typed in the contact the boy gave him.  The machine buzzed as the line connected.
“Hello, Hello… Who is this?” Came the voice of a woman.
“Mom.”  Anakin named her.  “Mom, I need to talk to Cliegg.”
“Ani, aren’t you supposed to be on a mission now?”
“I am, kinda.  I need to talk to Cliegg.  Is he there?”
“No, he’s at a meeting.  Can I speak with Obi-Wan?”
“Uh…” Anakin looked around in distress.
“Madam, hello.”  Dooku picked up the line in the silence.  “My name is Master Dooku.  Master Obi-Wan put me in-charge.  It would help us and the mission if you helped us to contact your husband.”
“Oh, okay.”  There was the sound of her shuffling around.  “I can give you the line to his office.  Like I said before, he’s in a meeting, but if you call, someone should answer.”
“Yes, that would help us very much.”  Dooku waited for her to rattle off the number, which he typed into the device.
“Thank you Mom,” Anakin called out from behind Dooku, before he hung up...

A time traveling Grandmaster, to the Prequel Era, trying to fix the mistakes the Jedi made, and get rid of a certain Sith too. Only Time Travel is not that easy, as Yoda will soon learn.
Today I've added a new chapter to Time Travel: To the Past Yoda Goes. Below is a small selection. Please go to the links above to read more.
Chapter 62 - The Grandmaster
“The L-Drives go here…” Tilleck’s attention was drawn away toward a group of Jedi walking down the hall outside.  He couldn’t imagine his luck, getting a job here, of all places.  What will it be like working at the Temple?  Side by side with real Jedi!
“... And the bolt cutters are behind the C-Bolts.” Ribou Nenn finished. “Did you get that?”
“Yeah, yeah.  I’m sorry.  I’m just a little wowed to be working here, of all places.” Tilleck confessed.
“Yeah, the Temple.”  Ribou’s eyes sympathetically emulated his shock.
“Do the Jedi ever hang out?” Tilleck whispered the last two words like they were a secret.
“The Knights don’t really hang, they meditate.  The Jedi code doesn’t preclude us from forming friendships outside of the order, but most knights won’t be easy to start a conversation with.”
“Us… No wait! You’re a Jedi?”  Tilleck’s mouth dropped open.  Ribou was introduced as a co-worker.  He thought he was another engineer or tradesman.  That he could’ve been standing here with one of them all this time and not known… He was amazed!
“I am temple trained, though my path has been different than most knights.”  Ribou confessed.
Tilleck smiled.  “We can be friends, though.  Eeh, Eeh?” he continued to pester until Ribou nodded.  “Great, my first Jedi friend.”
“Do you understand the mechanical bench, or do I need to go over it again?”
“I’ve got it.  L-drives and C-Bolts.”  Tilleck parroted.
“Good, What’s next?” Ribou seemed to ask himself.
Tilleck heard the clang as the hangar door opened.  It seemed a ship was returning to the Temple now.
This sparked an idea for Ribou.  “I can go over the Ingress procedure.”  He grabbed a clipboard with a form on it from the desk and handed it to Tilleck.  “This way.”
Ribou led him up the ship's ramp.  Tilleck remembered earlier, Ribou had said something about not going up to a ship while the Jedi were still onboard.  And he didn’t think they’d left enough time for anyone to deboard.  But he wasn’t the one with experience here, and he wasn’t force-trained either.  If Ribou wanted them to look at this ship now, he was going to trust him.
The door opened, and a Tall Jedi with dark skin stepped out.  Ribou immediately bowed.  “Master Windu, I’m sorry.”
Master Windu didn’t blink an eye.  It was almost like he was used to peasants kneeling at his feet when he stepped off a ship.  He looked down at the hangar with a gruff eye, appraising the whole place to be beneath him.  After he cleared the door, another Jedi emerged, and after him, another four.
Ribou lifted his head, and backed up towards Tilleck.  “Something’s wrong here.” he whispered.
Tilleck felt confused.  He didn’t know what was going on, but then he knew the best way to get things in order was to act like they were.  “Greetings Masters.  How did she perform for you?  Does her engine need a tune up?”
Their attention was drawn towards him as one.  Tilleck didn’t know how Ribou was handling it, but he was sweating buckets.  Before today, he’d never actually met a real Jedi.  His interviews for the position were with a friend of his professor, who’s recommendation actually got him the job.  But if working under them felt like this, he was considering quitting the job and moving offworld.  He’d heard Corellia was always desperate for mechanics.
The attention of the Jedi slipped past him quickly to Ribou.  “The star, show him.  Talk backwards, why do I?”  One of the Jedi, a short green female, said.
“It’s biological.  I can explain it later, but you won’t get it.” said another, a human male with red hair.
Windu stepped up holding a staff.  At the top of the staff, a cloth was tied, covering its top.  The Jedi walked past Tilleck and up to Ribou.
“The ship suited us well.  Her engines do need upgrades, but for all purposes, they ran just fine.”  The redhead turned to Tilleck, distracting him from seeing what the other was doing to Ribou.
“Oh, alright.  I’ll make a note of that.”  Tilleck replied.  He didn’t know for sure, but there must be a way to make the notes on the forms.  He’ll ask Ribou later.
Meanwhile, Windu seemed to pull the cover back over the staffhead. Did he have it off?  Ribou nodded to him.  Then Windu turned and walked back to the others.
Tilleck stepped past him to get to Ribou, and he whispered, “Is everything alright.”
“Yeah,” Ribou shook his head.  “Clean the ship, I’m going to go with them to visit the Council.”
“Hmm?” Tilleck questioned.  As an engineer it wasn’t his job to clean any of the ships in the hangar.  Though sometimes wiping the harddrive is referred to as cleaning by his peers at the university.  He supposed Ribou could mean that.  But then why wouldn’t he just say so?
“We will leave a few here to help you.  I want the ships prepared to fly out in a few hours.  There are still subgroups in the galaxy?” Windu looked at the group, and one who was tall with brown hair nodded to him in reply.  “Good, Sidious, you stay here with the other three.”
“What!  Nosa, me gos wit yousa.”  Sidious, a Gungan, responded.  Tilleck had read a paper about the species in one of his university classes.  Doubtless whatever led him to be here was a part of an interesting tale.
Windu rolled his eyes.  “Fine, The others are still onboard.  They will help you with your tasks.”
Tilleck bowed as Ribou before had done, “Yes, Master Jedi.”
To that title, Windu seemed to wince, before schooling his face and turning to lead the others out of the Hangar.
Tilleck looked down at the form he still carried.  The first part was asking about fuel expenditures, and he figured he’d start there.  He’d meet these “Other three,” on the way, probably, and hopefully they would know more about procedure here.

I've posted another chapter to Return of the Survivors. Below is a small selection. Please go to the links above to read more:
Chapter 96 - Arrangements
Ahsoka Tano was on a Waystation in the Gordian Reach.  Even though the Rebellion no longer had its main station in the sector, Anakin thought that the station was worth preserving.  It was useful for sending messages back and forth, certainly.  He thought it would be strategic to keep its location secret, and it was her job to keep up a sort of shield around it with the Force.  That way any imperialists who came into the system would barely give it a second thought.  It was a boring job, but one that was crucial.  Her experience in war taught her that if you can’t get messages where you need them, having the best army was pointless.
But tonight would not be a boring night.  Galen Merek would be there as well.  If there’s anything two lineage-mates could be trusted to do, it's to compare stories about their shared master.  And it’s a good thing Anakin wasn’t going to be around, because she had some embarrassing stories to tell.  It was going to be fun.
Ahsoka checked on the stash of snacks she’d stored away for their evening watch, then she finished the meditation to build up the shield with the Force again.  Keeping the shield running was a simple task.  The only complication is that it must be redone every so many hours, especially during the night hours, where the Force seems to decide to unwind every shield on its own.  Ahsoka would be questioning why this was, but in her experience, sometimes the Force was just odd.
After this was finished, she bounced down to the three main quarters this station possessed.  When Galen arrived earlier, he had been tired and grumpy.  Like Obi-Wan without meditation.  She had supposed that must be the reason why.  He just needed a nap and a good meditation, and he’d be back to normal.
“Ga-aaa-len,” she called.
“Wha- oh, Soka?” Galen appeared at the door.  He still looked a little tired, though less grumpy, as he returned her smile.
“You said you’d do the night shift with me.”
Galen nodded, and he reached back to get a coat.  “I did say that, didn’t I?”
“You don’t have to, if you still need to rest.” Ahsoka offered, hiding her disappointment.
“No, I said I’d help you.  It’s what I’m gonna do.” Galen stepped out and started walking down the hallway.
Ahsoka smiled and followed him.  He just needed a little something to make him laugh, she figured.  “You know there was this time when Sky-Guy had this idea on how to improve the range of one of the cannons.  But we didn’t have anything to test it with.  And it would’ve been a very bad idea to test the canon with real artillery.  But we did have Muja Fruit seized from some counterfeit traders in the outer rim…”
Galen smiled, anticipating the ending to the story.  Ahsoka took it as a good sign, and she went on.
“Juice got everywhere!  Almost every ship in that hangar went from white to pink.  Then Rex came in to give Anakin a message from the battlefront, and he suddenly went all gungho on cleaning.  He usually didn’t care about Master Obi-Wan’s opinion that much, but the Master was on his way.  We scrubbed the ships for hours.  You know, on reflection, Padme was with Obi-Wan when he arrived… So that probably had something to do with it.” Ahsoka laughed at it to herself.  “It’s hard to remember, but apparently they were married at the time.”
She shrugged her shoulders, making light of it, until Galen groaned.
“What’s wrong?” She decided to ask.
“Please, I don’t need this now.  I just got off the comm with my Dad, and he’s got the whole Council on his side apparently.”
“Hmm?” Ahsoka’s brow furrowed with confusion.  She didn’t understand the family thing.  Though to her, Plo, Anakin and Obi-Wan were like her family.  She barely remembered her own real family.
“Marriage,” he filled in.   “Apparently, I’ve been dating Juno for long enough that he thinks we should get married.”
“Oh.” This was one of those awkward conversations she was not ready for.  “Well, you two are cute together.” Which was apparently the wrong answer because he groaned again.  “But it’s none of my business.”
Galen sighed. “Thanks.  I do want to, you know.  I want to marry her one day.  It’s just that with the war going on, it doesn’t feel like the right time.  How am I supposed to split my attention between fighting and a homelife?  And as soon as we get married, he’s going to be asking us about having children.  I am not ready to be a father!”
“Hmm.” Ahsoka hummed.  “It might be because I remember a time when Jedi who fell in love had to either leave the order, like your parents, or love in secret, like Anakin and Padme.  But I don’t think you have to worry about being ready to marry her.  You love her, you’d make it work.   But don’t feel rushed into anything either.  Especially not into having kids.”
“Can I quote you on that?  It might help if my father really does get the council on his side.”
“I don’t know how my opinion would stand up against the council, but sure.  Why not?”
Galen stared, mouth agape at her.  “You know your opinion matters a lot to them.  Especially to Master Anakin.” Ahsoka blushed.  “There wasn’t a time when I didn’t hear ‘Soka would do it this way.’  I used to feel very intimidated by you.”
“Oh, I’m sorry.” Ahsoka didn’t know what to say.  She did not expect him to tell her that.
“Don’t worry about it.  Luke had it worse.  His Master’s old Padawan was his father!”
“That’s true.”  Ahsoka nodded along.  “Say, do you want to hear a really embarrassing tale about Master Sky-Guy?”  She offered.
His mouth opened with the biggest smile.  “Do I ever?”

Summary: A time traveling Grandmaster, to the Prequel Era, trying to fix the mistakes the Jedi made, and get rid of a certain Sith too. Only Time Travel is not that easy, as Yoda will soon learn.
I've updated Time Travel: To the Past Yoda Goes today with a new chapter. Below is a small selection. Please click one of the links above to read more.
Chapter 61 - Warning!
“What are we going to do?” The question was whispered by all the younglings in their group, and as much as he wanted to, Dooku had no answers to give them.
“Should we contact the council again?” Alex suggested.
“No.” Anakin sounded decisive.  “They would only send someone else.  Who would go in there and get possessed as well.”
“But what if they do send someone?  And we don’t warn them!” Freya worried.
“Why would they send anyone?  Your master just went in there.  It’ll be a little while at least before they are worried enough to send in someone else,” Asajj pointed out.  She had a point, considering how long her Master had been without backup on Rattatak.
“Master Rancisis!”  Leeta shouted with a dawning realization in her wide eyes.  “He was Yaddle’s Padawan too.  If he feels anything like what I just felt, he’ll know something went wrong.”
Dooku leaned forwards.  “Yes, Master Yaddle is known for keeping her Padawan Bonds strong long after her Padawans move on.  And there are a lot of knights who have no doubt felt what happened.  Though Oppo being on the Council could make them move faster.”  He turned to Anakin again.  “Use Code Nine-Two-Two-Five-Four.  It will make them stop before sending anyone else.”
There was a moment where the younglings all sat staring up at him.  “What.  I used to be on the Council.  Now go!”  He ushered and the younglings all stood up and Anakin ran to the comm unit.
“Oh, we missed a message.  It’s from Master Billaba.”
“Quick.  Send the message to the council and we’ll listen to the message when we’re done,”  Alex urged.
“Okay.”  Anakin dialed the Council’s main line and plugged those numbers into the text field.  Then he hit send.
A minute later, text came on the screen again.  “Message Received.” Anakin read, and they all sighed. ...

Chapter 95 - Malachor’s Foil
The door opened and slammed shut.  Beru winced and shook her head.  “He didn’t agree?”
“No.” Her boy frowned and slouched at the table.  “He didn’t even listen.  Says I have to stay for another growing season.  It’s not like I’m asking to join the empire.  I’d just be going to see Uncle Anakin and the rebellion.”
I know, but your Father and Uncle don’t exactly agree on what constitutes a responsible citizen and the like.  Call me selfish, but I’m glad he said no, for I would miss you terribly.”
“Oh Mom,”  Mace-Ti turned, and she opened her arms to him, insisting on a hug.  He gave way a few seconds later and embraced her back.  They hadn’t started using the familiar terms with him, but then when he was six, he went through a phase where he named her Mamma-Beru, and it melted her heart.  He still knows about his birth mama, She’s Mamma-Maris.  And his birth father, Papa-Tel-Mac, though no one talks about him as much.
“Mamma, I just don’t feel like I’m meant to stay here, and live the life of a moisture farmer.  Leia was my age when she went to join the rebellion.  I just want to take that time to figure out where I am meant to go.”
Beru nodded.  “I hear you.  Why don’t you go wash up for dinner.”  At her ushering her boy disappeared down the hallway further into the home.  She grit her face with determination.  Owen would be returning home soon, and she’d have to talk with him.  A conversation she was going to hate, but a conversation that needed to happen.
***
Obi-Wan followed Anakin to the open space outside of the facility built on Dagobah.  “Where did you learn of all these ancient Practices?”  He asked.  In his time as a Padawan, the youngling turned his nose up at history, and even this was a pretty trivial piece of the subject.
“The old Sith empires were built on slavery.” he shrugged.  “I enjoy stories of Jedi actually doing what they should’ve been doing.  And besides, since I’ve been in charge, and we’ve got an actual Sith out there, I figured why not research similar times.  The rebellion may not have access to the Jedi archives, but their database on Jedi history is still quite large.”
Obi-Wan nodded.  “I’m impressed.”
Anakin smiled.  “I always said I’d get that research paper done one of these days.”
Obi-Wan rolled his eyes.  While they were talking, Five other members of the Council joined them.  It was the most they could gather in such a short timeframe.
“Alright everyone,” Anakin projected his voice.  “We come together to see the trial of Tel-Mac Linnon, who has since gone by the pseudonym: Darth Vader.”
Master Coleman raised a hand.  “I thought he was already tried by the Rebel Alliance.”
Obi-Wan stood with his hands behind his back, allowing his former Padawan to negotiate this difficult situation.  It was true, he had been tried.  But the Trial Anakin was referring to here wasn’t a legal trial in a court of law.
“By the Jedi Code, no formal execution is to be made of anyone, foreign power or loyalist, except for two circumstances.  One, that the individual has taken up Sithly teachings, and spread them amongst the Jedi.  Or two, that he had been trained in the Sithly ways and is a practitioner of their methods.  This trial is how the Jedi of old used to determine whether either is taking place, or if there is anything left to save.”
“Save.  Ha!”  There was a low rumble of reaction to his words.  Most Jedi still remembered their colony on Melren and how he attacked it.
Anakin didn’t stop.  He walked between the gathered Jedi and lectured with his hands behind his back.  This made Obi-Wan aware of where his own hands were, and he relaxed them forcibly by his side.
“While it is true, in recent years this old piece of the code has been mostly forgotten.  I think even Master Windu would’ve cut the head off any Sith brought in and questioned it later.” Anakin paused here, but his audience didn’t laugh.  “We are, unfortunately, in circumstances they weren’t in.  I want the Jedi, under my leadership, to be a group that stands up for justice and not just vengeance.  Now, Tel-Mac has a couple of things to his favor.  First, he was trained with our own.  And he wasn’t turned in the usual manner.  Healer Youlao has examined his Force Presence and commented to me that he feels strange to her.   In the old times, it was not completely uncalled for a Sith, even one as bad as Vader here, to pass this Trial.  If Tel-Mac passes the trial, I will see that he is given every chance of turning back, without endangering our younglings.  If it means throwing every form of Therapy in the Systems at him while he remains imprisoned here, then so be it.”
There was a rustle amongst the Councilors gathered, and Coleman was pushed to speak for them.  “While I cannot pretend to have the same hope for him, I am glad you are considering protecting our younglings.  Very well, If he proves he deserves it, let him stay here on Dagobah.”
“Thank you, Master.”  Anakin nodded.  “Anyone else?”  Eyes almost closed in glares, but no one opened their mouth to share any dissent. Then he turned to Obi-Wan to nod.  “Good.  Go tell the healers to send out the Prisoner.”
Obi-Wan bowed, then turned to follow the command...

Chapter 60 - Feedback and Failures
Leeta walked down the Hangar with purpose.  On either side of her, crews prepared ships for their next voyages.  Everyone had a task to perform, and Leeta was one of them.
“Troubled, your friends are.  Help them Meditate, you should.”  Master Yaddle had instructed her.
Leeta felt proud that her Master trusted her with this task.  She turned to face a ship.  There it was.  Exactly where Master Yaddle had said it would be.  She hesitated outside, unsure if she should just walk in.  Knocking on a ship’s steel door is practically ineffective.  She didn’t want to startle anyone, if they were really as upset as her Master had implied.
Suddenly the door opened and a Dathomirian teenager stuck her head out.  “Ugg, Master.  It’s another Jedi.”  She turned, leaving the ship's door opened for her to walk in too.
Leeta could sense this girl was Force Sensitive, and recognised her using the title ‘Master.’ Yet for some reason, she referred to Jedi as something else.  Was she another foundling?  Leeta was about to question who this Master was, since Yaddle was under the impression her friends were alone, but then a tall man with white hair walked within view of the entrance.
“Padawan, come inside.  Where is your Master?”  Dooku stuck his head out and looked both ways.
Leeta glared at him.  “Where are my friends?”  Yaddle had shown her an old image of the Traitor, and explained how he was suspected of associating with sith and training darksiders.
“Inside.  Did your Master send you ahead?”  Dooku eyed her and seemed to notice her expression for the first time.  “Oh.”  He rolled his eyes.  “The Padawans are all safe inside.  I suggested they Meditate using a tool of mine.  Come this way and see for yourself.  Asajj…”
At Dooku’s call the Dathomirian followed her Master further into the ship.  Leeta hesitated a moment and then followed them as well.
Inside, sitting on the floor in a row were the clan-mates she expected to find.  Each Padawan sat in meditation pose.  Attached to their fingers were black clips and on their heads were stick-on metal patches.  Wires connected them all to a separate metallic sphere, which was floating in front of each of them.
Suddenly Anakin opened his eyes and his sphere flew up.  Dooku passively reached out and caught the ball, while Anakin pulled off the contraption.  “Leeta, you’re here!”
Beside him Freya, Kate, and Alex opened their eyes.  Their spheres fell down gradually to the floor in front of them.
Kate smiled, “It’s good to see you.” Leeta noticed her friends seemed a lot more stable than she expected.  Why, if she had lost her Master, she’d be a blubbering mess.
“What are you doing?” She leaned in closer.  “Why are you trusting him?”
“We were meditating.  The spheres kind-of react to your emotions and it helps you to control them,”  Kate answered.
“Yeah, Grandmaster Dooku invented them.” Alex added.
“I merely put into practice an older theory on Biofeedback and applied it to Force use.  Some alterations still need to be made to perfect it.”  Dooku placed Anakin’s sphere back onto the table where the boy had placed his wires and clips.
Leeta found herself glaring at the man again.
“Grandmaster Dooku isn’t so bad.  He’s been trying to help us since it all happened.” Freya said.
“Yeah, where is your Master?” Anakin asked.
“She went to help your Masters,”  Leeta shared.  The gasps that answered her were wholly unexpected...

Attention
Sorry, no story updates today. Last night an issue was brought to my attention when I received not one, but two separate threats in my fanfiction.net reviews. The user starts with a hateful flame, quoted below.
I honestly wanted to like this story, but this is just bad. It's akin to sniffing a moldy egg casserole from the back of my fridge: a stupid waste of time for something rotten that belongs in the trash.
Now, if any of you have recieved a similar message, do not take it seriously. They literally copied and pasted a prewritten message into a box on a website. That's all. I looked this up and found reports of similar messages dated 3 months ago on forums. The rest of the message was similar, though not exact.
The message goes on to say they are contacting me on behalf of a "Friend," who they named in the review. Now, I won't be posting this name here, because if it is a real person, I don't know that they are at all connected. Like I said, the earlier reports were similar, only they named a different user. If you've recieved a similar message, I'd advise you not to contact this person. I will share what I did and encourage you to do it too.
The reviewer instructs me to review one of their stories. They issued several threats against me, see below. I *** to abbreviate a couple of swear words because I don't post that stuff:
If you fail to comply by not responding or worse yet, attempt to leave a negative review, I will report your account to both The Critics United as well as the other site administrators for deletion. Do not think of blocking or reporting us. I will find out and there will be consequences if you do something stupid to her.
If you troll my friend, be warned we will troll you, your fics and all of your followers. We will also place your s***fic in our other friend's community, S*** Fics That Deserve a Good Flame, so that everyone here will make fun of you. Since we don't want it to come to that, just write a short, good review for her stories and we'll leave you alone.
Now, as to what I did, I reported this user. I emailed the support address: [email protected] In the subject bar I put [Abuse] Threatening Review because I was told it helps them to sort messages by subject. If you receive the same message, I'd advise you to do the same. Don't respond to their threats, and don't contact the named user. I have all of my stories on my PC, so I wouldn't mind publishing them elsewhere, if I had to. They have no real power.
Now, If the sender of this message reads this, I have a special message for you. If you ever contact me again, whether on Fanfic.net reviews, private messages, or elsewhere, I will be contacting the police.

Chapter 59 - After Effects
“Are you- a T-47?” Asajj asked, her eyes glancing out the window in the front of the ship.
Dooku sat back and closed his eyes to rest.  It had been a lot easier for him to keep his youngest in line since Anakin had been playing a game with her.  He had a faint headache that was suddenly getting worse, but trusted it would resolve itself.
“Anakin?”  Asajj began to radiate worry, and Dooku opened his eyes to see what was going on.
The young man had gone pale, and his muscles were tight, shaking spastically.  He didn’t respond to Asajj’s calls.  Dooku pulled her back before she could do more than poke him.
“Anak- Padawan Skywalker.  Are you alright?”  Dooku tried.  He got no response, so he looked to the other younglings for help.
Kate, one of the girls who was with him, stared at the floor.  She was pale, and looked like she might get sick.  The door to the back where the other two were sleeping opened up and Alex emerged.  He took three steps in and he did get sick.  The other girl, Freya, walked out like she had been hit in the head.
Dooku looked at Tol and Asajj, whatever it was, it was not affecting them, and they didn’t look responsible.  Tol was eying Alex with a sad look and Asajj seemed just as worried as he was.
“NO!” Suddenly Anakin broke his silence to shout.  Then he started to cry, clutching his head.
“Their training bonds.” Tol whispered.  “Something must have happened to their Masters.”
Dooku looked at him in shock. He wanted to protest, to insist that it had to be another cause, but then he had no other ideas.  His and Qui-Gon’s old bond was a seldom used pathway in his mind that now seemed as quiet as ever.
Asajj squinted.  “My master died too.  I didn’t react to it like this.”
“I didn’t say they died.” Tol walked between the younglings with his hands behind his back.  “I hardly felt anything when my Master died.  Not over the bond.  But when he first touched that gem, it felt…” He motioned towards Alex, who was shaking his head like he was very dizzy and wanted to clear it. “It felt like that.”
Dooku had to accept it.  Something was very wrong here, and not likely to get better without intervention.  “Help them,” he ordered.  Then he bent down to Anakin, who was shaking now.  His eyes were unable to keep focus for even a few seconds...

Chapter 94 - How to Kill a Sith
Anakin looked up from his desk and pressed a few buttons to dial a comm.  “Youlao here.  Greetings Master Skywalker, how is your family?”
“They are well, Master Youlao, and yours?” Anakin bowed his head towards the holo in greeting.  In the old days it would have been very unusual to greet a Jedi in this way, but lately it was becoming almost taboo not to.
“All are well, Master Skywalker.  My youngest is taking the trials in a few months.”  Master Youlao responded.
“She will do well, I’m sure.” Anakin nodded.  “And how is your task going?”
“It’s go-ing,” she said.  “Look, at this point we have had very minor breakthroughs.  She said two words to me today.  ‘Get stuffed.’ Which normally doesn’t sound like a breakthrough, but when the alternative is complete silence.” She shrugged.
“Would it help if I sent Ahsoka to you?  I understand she was a bit more talkative in her initial interrogation.”  Anakin offered.
“No, I’m afraid she would be just as stubborn, no matter who was asking her the questions.  If you could, ask Master Tano if she knows what methods they used to precipitate Barris Offee’s fall.”
“Methods, does that matter?” Anakin scribbled a note to himself.
“Oh, it matters quite a lot,” Youlao responded.
Anakin looked surprised at her.  He was used to the Jedi treating everything as either Dark or Light, and Yoda’s philosophy of how a foot in the dark side is a foot lost to you.  He was expecting the healers he brought in to share that mindset.
“It matters how we treat the patient.  If it was torture, for instance, there will be triggers we’ll need to avoid.  And if the Force was used, we’d need to replicate the opposite technique if  there is any hope to bring her back…”
“Wait.  Bring her back.  You really think it might be possible?”
Youlao winced.  “Probably not in any way you are thinking.  We might be able to get her to stabilize briefly to allow for the healing.  Usually such methods are used when the Jedi wanted to interrogate a subject.  Otherwise we’ll have to use an intense flood of light, and it’s rather like a drug at that level.”
Anakin nodded.  “At the end of the war, Ex Knight Offee was being held in a republic prison for her deeds.  The bombing-”  Anakin looked up and saw the Master nod.  He didn’t want to go into what had happened, and when she recognized it he moved on.  “I don’t believe she had fallen completely at that point.  I mean, she was teetering, but she didn’t actively use the dark side.  She said a lot about the War being un-jedi like and how we were all becoming killers.  She was angry and unstable, I don’t think it would take a lot to push her over the edge.”  Anakin summarized.  He himself never saw any but the first interrogations.  Obi-Wan had been worried Anakin was too unstable to witness it, after Ahsoka left.  And the Master was probably right.  But that didn’t stop him from getting summaries from those knights who did talk to her.
Youlao tapped the sides of her datapad.  “I think it probably took more effort than you’d assume.  Reading the Rebellion’s records,  initially inquisitors were less trained and more sloppy.  It took nearly four years for them to get to the terrors they are now.”
“Four years of torture, you mean?”
“It’s certainly possible.”
Anakin nodded serenely.
“I’ll keep you updated on our progress.”  Master Youlao bowed again.
“Yes, please do.”  Anakin returned.  “I’ll ask Ahsoka about Barris and tell you if she has any ideas.”  He hoped they did have some luck.  It would be great to be able to shut up a couple of Force Ghosts with some good news for once, but he didn’t say so out loud...

Summary: A time traveling Grandmaster, to the Prequel Era, trying to fix the mistakes the Jedi made, and get rid of a certain Sith too. Only Time Travel is not that easy, as Yoda will soon learn.
A second update today. This one for Time Travel: To the Past Yoda Goes. Below is a small selection. Please use the links above to read more.
Chapter 58 - Contingency
Obi-Wan helped Mace lock the red lightsabers in a compartment on his ship. If they were going after a darkside user, they didn’t want to have such a tainted weapon nearby. It could upset the balance of a fight. So they had to leave them behind. But the same, they were leaving their Padawans alone with suspects who allegedly had darkside leanings. They did not want Dooku or either of his trainees to find a weapon.
“Ah-ha! Found it.” Qui-Gon pulled a folded flimsy sheet out of a bench he was looking through. “I knew I had this somewhere. Look. It’s a map.”
Mace sighed. “I doubt the ancient Sith Temple is on your map.”
“No. But other things are. Look, Dooku said we have to go west of the city. That’s this way.” He pointed to the map.
“Brilliant. I could not have found that without such a tool.” Mace’s voice was flat.
Obi-Wan picked up their tools as they went to board the other ship. The one Mace and Plo arrived in. As he walked away, he felt a strong push on his bond with Anakin. He knew the boy was worried for him. This was turning out to be a harder mission than he had expected. But that is a Jedi’s life: Going on missions prepared for one thing, and finding a whole different set of challenges. It’s the best lesson he could give the Padawan.
***
“Why are we playing nice? You know I could…” Tol protested in a hushed voice.
Dooku smacked the back of Tol’s head and he shut up instantly. “They are my grand-padawans, and you will do no such thing.”
“They’re kids,” said, fourteen going on forty, Asajj. Dooku was very proud of himself for not rolling his eyes. “We don’t have to hurt them. Just lock them in the hold.”
“No. I have decided we are going to play along for now. And that’s what we are going to do.”
“Yes, Master,” Asajj did roll her eyes.
Tol sighed. “I want words with the Jedi Grandmaster.”
“You can have that.” Dooku consented. Whatever went on with the boy’s former Master, Dooku had heard Tol’s tale, his own former master will have to answer for it.
“Okay, Master. I’ll play nice. For now.” Tol promised.
