one thing you won't know until you experience it for yourself when you create art out of love is how it feels when people receive it with love. when you post a doodle and someone keeps it as their lockscreen, or when you write a story and someone tells you they were thinking about it all day, or when you post a poem and someone shares it with a touching caption. doesn't matter if it was objectively good or not. matters that someone spent time with it, that someone really, really liked it, and you made it. this kind of interaction, i think, it can really sustain you for weeks. it can sustain you through a lot of terrible things. its confirmation that you exist, and that (however briefly) your existence was appreciated by someone else through your art.

#not art #oh i was doing so good at creating things until fall/winter hit haha #favorite thing: maybe the girls on a train? #that one turned out pretty cute AND the bg is decent which is a miracle #most time consuming: tie between the lwj birthday drawing in the jingshi and the wkx outfit compilation drawing #i think the lwj one took like... 11 hours? #mostly because i have no idea how to draw backgrounds or complicated poses haha #and the wkx one took like 10.5 i think? #and half of that was just spent on the lineart!! #most prevalent mood in creations: isn't it always happiness love adoration yearning & pining? #i love drawing love and soft things #if i can't have the love they talk about in books for myself then at least i can draw it lol!!! #looking back i think the things i created this year were less interesting/exciting/experimental than the stuff i did last year #which is kind of a bummer but oh well! #it's hard to sustain the kind of passion you feel right when you get into a new thing

wwx and lwj are classmates and lxc asks wwx to write letters to lwj because he’s worried that wangji is lonely. they grow close quickly through the (love) letters, but lose contact when wwx has to leave for *waves hand* jiang family reasons. 

when wwx bumps into jc years later and wants to look like he’s doing fine when jc invites him to a jiang company networking party, wwx panics and says that he’s starting a business with his brilliant first love, lan zhan. except when he gets to the party, lwj is actually there!

anyway, i don’t know exactly what happens, but obviously they reunite and fall in love!! happy valentine’s day with this very silly romcom au! ♡
