My fluffy Star had KITTENS! I had no idea she was pregnant...so everyone, meet Allie and Cymoril. Oak is not sure at all about them, they are rambunctious babies that love to play and bite his tail. Poor baby.
Summer in Sulani is amazing. I love the warm ocean waters, and I swim every day. I also clean up the beaches every day. I’ve been considering going into conservation work actually. It bugs me when I see the tourists trash the beaches across the coral...this is my home, why can’t they keep it clean?

As the summer goes on, Aisha and I grow pretty close...we sort of flirt, a little bit anyway...and we hang out a lot...eating out a lot and whatnot...maybe a date? Maybe just really good friends? Either way, I’m lucky to have her in my life. This is shaping up to be the best summer of my life. I am learning so much, and experiencing so many things...how can college top this?

We met up with everyone, yes even Cayson, at a nightclub in Windenburg. We danced, we drank, we avoided Aunt Hope’s watchful eye...I tried to keep an eye on my brother but he was too good at avoiding and really...I’m sorry, but is it my responsibility to watch him 24/7? He’s older than I am, he should be capable...but I still feel guilty for thinking that way. All in all, it was a great weekend!

The summer is going by wonderfully. I can’t show you much about the internship of course...Sims in Black and all...but I am super happy. When I’m not in the lab, I am collecting from the world around us to study DNA samples and rock types, anything to boost my skills and knowledge for the coming semester.
Blaz managed to come for a bar visit one weekend, from his internship....and WHOA.
“Dude, who are you and what happened to my string bean cousin?”
“String bean is gone, but panda nerd is still very much here.”
“Nice muscles Blaz!”
“Thanks! How’s the brain muscles?”
“You can’t see it, but I can feel the six pack.”
“That’s AWESIM!”
“That was terrible...”
“Yeah, I know, haha...”
Blaz waited until the laughter died down to get serious. “Hey...have you heard from Cay yet? How did you do with his first year and all?”
“No...he’s been avoiding my calls.”
“Mine too.”
We shared a worried look before we went into the Blue Velvet.

My roommate is Aisha, and she’s pretty cool. She’s from Selvadorada, but came to live in Del Sol for the last few years until she graduated, just like me. She’s quite the genius, and we have a ton of fun chatting when we aren’t busy in the lab...undisclosed location, sorry! We are busy learning about forensics, studying confiscated materials and running lab equipment. Also, we get to play with HUGE microscopes! I asked them why they have to be that big...apparently bigger is better, it allows for more control of light and zooming in ranges...
(Yes I am a Bio Major, but no I am too lazy to go rooting around for my notes lol)

A few days later, I have arrived. One whole summer in Willow Creek, studying with one other lucky candidate forensics and preparing our skillsets for SIB. We would be the only two interns for Sector II at this location. I was excited, even if I arrived super late. I was too amped up to sleep, so I got cozy in my room with my computer. I’d meet my roommate and fellow intern tomorrow, we were sharing a house. I also brought the art drawing that Cayson made for me when I was little. One was never too old for macaroni art, after all.

“Impossible brother, she can’t be back.”
“Jaxen, I have heard whispers-”
“None of their kind have walked these worlds in YEARS, nearly seven hundred in fact, or do you not remember?”
“Oh I remember, the smells back then were horrible, and the wine even worse. But, brother...I can’t explain it. I know she should not be back, I remember...but I also remember her voice.” Felix’s Adam’s Apple bobbed up and down. “I remember her touch, her scent...her taste. Nightmares plague me brother, for the first time since her death. Why now? I never dream! And I hear that others...strange tidings in the swamp....something is amiss.”
I laughed. I couldn’t help it. Felix was afraid, and that was something I not seen since she had walked this world. My brother just glared at me, but kept his tongue to himself. “Alright, say I believe that you aren’t just having guilty remissions.”
“Guilt, me?! What would I have to feel guilty about?”
“Plenty!” Eyebrows raised, waiting for him to challenge me. No challenge came, he merely scoffed and looked away. “What do you want me to do about it?”
“Go to the house, see if anything...is different. Burn the damn place down if you have to. Just make sure, she’s...not here.”
“Afraid she’ll come for your jewels?”
“And more.” I shook my head.
“Alright fine, but what do I get for this?”
“What do you want?”
“Keep your spies away from me and mine, for one. I know it’s sooooo difficult...”
He sighed. “Yes, yes, you and the brunette and whoever else, FINE. What else?”
“A favor of my choosing, for later.”
“You and your blasted favors, but fine. A deal, struck between brothers.”
We shook on it, and I left, chasing after a ghost of the past that, for everyone’s sake, should stay buried.

Felix waited until the very last second to reach me, shape-shifting into a bat to block me just before I hit the elevator. Whatever this was about, his pride was massively damaged in asking his little brother to help. Good.

“It is...”
“AND worth my time.”
“I NEED YOUR HELP, alright? What do you want me to say, more than that?”

“Felix, the day I want advice from you, I will ask. What do you want?”
“We can’t just catch up?”
“While I am sure mother would love that, you are too narcissistic and calculating and always have a purpose to every single conversation you have.”
“You wound me brother. Maybe I just want to catch up. After all...I hear rumors.”
“And I grow more and more bored by the minute.”
“I hear rumors...of you and a little petite brunette...or she once was petite, but now it seems she may be enjoying food a touch too much, hm? Fattening up the cow for slaughter? I am SO proud of you brother...”
“When I catch your little spy, would you like their heart or liver? You are on dangerously thin ground right now brother, either tell me what you have been PESTERING me about for weeks or I am walking out, and changing all of my numbers.”
“I guess sharing is out of the question then...shame, she seems like a delicious treat...”
“Plum off Felix. Enjoy the next fifty years alone, because only you can stand your face.”
“Leaving so soon?”
“I have decided you are not worth my time, and it was a mistake to come and try to get any real answers out of you. Do not call me again.”
I walked down the stairs, noticing that he was glaring into his wine glass. Whatever. I wouldn’t let him touch Sally...and I wasn’t about to throw him from his penthouse, he would know he got to me then. Fattening up the cow...he would never change, would he? If he truly needed something from me, he had about sixty seconds to reach me, because once I hit that elevator, I was gone.

“Hello Felix.” I walked to join him viewing over the city, like it was his prey and he was the shark. “I decided it was time to talk.”
“I see my calls finally got through.”
“You could say that.”
Felix smirked, breathing in the night air. “The last time it sounded like you were on a hot date...”
“What is so important that you have to call your younger brother to fix, and YOU of all people leaving a voicemail? That isn’t you Felix.”
“I’ll make us drinks.” He disappeared, leaving me to follow after him. I wasn’t wasting this trip, he would either tell me or I was throwing him over the side of his penthouse, brothers or not.

“Your package is in the crate, leave the money on the table.” Felix always has been a shrewd businessman, it didn’t surprise me that he had dealings like this. If that kid knew what was good for him, he’d be running in fear...but that was none of my business. My brother and I had made a deal a long time ago, for our mother, and to stop our eternal fighting: I stay out of his business and he stays out of mine. It’s better that way.
It was only as his customer left that Felix noticed my presence.
