Saw this post on Twitter and just had to throw it on here because…the symbolism is too great.
Since we know that Kirishima bought Bakugou his suit in the movie with the vest included, there’s quite a lot of interesting symbolism in Japan that is associated with the white rose design on Bakugou’s vest.
The white rose is known to represent purity/innocence, the concept of “I am the only one for you,” as well as a symbol of very deep respect.
It’s completely reading into this way too deeply, but still, if you are to think about the symbolism of white roses, Kirishima practically told Bakugou through his action of giving the suit to him that he
1) Is pure (or thinks Bakugou is pure)
2) Thinks he is the only one for Bakugou
3) Respects him deeply
TL;DR, a love confession.
WHAT IS EVEN GOING ON WITH THIS, HORIKOSHI!??!?!
