writing fanfiction is just. i’m being so creative and original. i’m plagiarizing everyone by accident. i’m a genius. i’m cringe. i’m too angsty. i’m too cheesy. this is not in character. it doesn’t matter that it’s not in character because these are my characters now. i love my hobby. this is the worst possible use of my time. i’m seeking validation. i’m projecting my own personal problems onto this story and i’m barely hiding it. i know so many words and i’m using all of them wrong. im on tumblr posting about it instead of writing it.

I love and appreciate fanfic authors, but I read their notes and I have to wonder what fucked up shit they did in a past life to make god hate them so much. Like why do the worst things happen to fanfic authors and they just brush over it. I’ll be reading a fluffy fic and the notes will be “hey sorry the fic is late both my parents died, I’m in hospital right now, and my house burnt down. anyway hope u enjoy this chapter!!“ bro???? Are you okay?????

my emotions are a sad friend. sometimes I need to sit with them and listen, sometimes I need to give them a warm blanket and some warm tea and just be there. sometimes I get them a bowl of ice cream and watch comforting studio ghibli films and let them sleep earlier so they feel more rested in the morning. if they act out of line, i do my best to forgive them, because I understand they’re human, they’re carrying wounds and they aren’t themselves sometimes. i don’t avoid them or tell them to go away. i tell them it’s okay and if they need someone, i’m here for them and they’re welcome here.

ok...so this is a real life ask, so pls do not hate on this post. This is a genuine ask and as much as I want honesty, I would appreciate no hate.
So with that over and done with here's my ask...I'm a single mum of an 8 year old little girl and I can't tell if I'm overly worried/anxious or just being a parent. Basically I feel like I need to be in ear shot of her when I can't hear her, and this isn't all the time! of course she can go and play outside, go down the street to her friends and I think nothing of it. The issue is when I'm in the shower, it's like my mind plays tricks on me and I can hear crying, like proper crying! Not oh I hurt my knee and 2 seconds later she's fine, like hysterical crying! And of course I pit my head out and nothing!! She's perfectly fine playing!!
So am I a normal parent? or am I anxious??

i know it's hard to believe right now, but there is more to life than sadness and trauma and mental illness. there is love and joy and hope and so much more. there's so many incredibly beautiful little things to find happiness in every day you're alive, even if things aren't good right now. there are always sunsets to admire and movies to watch and dogs to pet. i know that life is hard, but it's full of incredible things in the everyday, things that tell you that you will be okay, that there is love always.

@pancakewaffles-blog1 Thank you for you prompt of ‘ Angels and Demons’ I hope you enjoy reading this. Sorry it’s taken me a few days.
Kim xx
His Angel
“So...It's a full moon tonight..”
“It is?-”
“Come on Sasuke, tell your best friend-”
“You call yourself that, not me-”
“Ha! You can't fool me we've been best friends since imps, and anyway don't change the subject. Where does the Prince of darkness go every full moon?”
“That's just a mystery for the Prince of Darkness to know, and you, my little imp friend to never find out.” Sasuke smirked walking away.
With the sun finally set Sasuke, the devils least favourite son, sneaked across the border of his fathers realm. It was easy, it shouldn't have been but after years of eluding the guards it had become second nature.
The human world is their mutual territory, where angels and demons can inflict their abilities and create havoc, in the case of Sasuke's kind, and whatever angels created. In his opinion their influence could seem endearing but he found it meddlesome. Why couldn't they just leave the humans alone? What did it matter what happened to they puny, insignificant little lives?
In the human realm the sun had set hours ago, the forest, their secret spot, bathed in natural light of the moon.
Being a mid autumns night every now and again a cloud would cover their natural light basking them in darkness. These were the moments Sasuke enjoyed the most, the unspoken minutes when darkness could take away all their inhibitions and allowed them to take actions you wouldn't have done in light.
“Sasuke-Kun.” He smiled, the first since the last full moon.
“Hinata.” He answered simply.
“Were you spotted?” He couldn't help the small chuckle of arrogance escape at her innocent question.
“Am I ever?”
“Good.” She sighed in relief.
They sat then, side by side on the log conveniently placed by a storm a few years back. Actually, in all honesty the storm had been Sasuke on one particular rampage. She lent her head against his shoulder and they sat in silence, looking to the moon.
“Our fathers -”
“Please, not this again.” Sasuke rolled his eyes. “We've been going back and forth over this for years now.”
“I know, but, do you think they would ever accept-”
“A demon and angel? No, I don't.” He lifted her chin for her now sad eyes to meet his,”Hinata, I don't mean my honesty to hurt you. But our parents are both set In their ways, for eons now. They just can't and won't understand our friendship.”
“I know your right, but I want them to see the good in you, like I do.”
“You're such an...an angel.” He chuckled, “I'm a demon, dark spawn, what light could you possibly see in me?”
“You joke, but I get the feeling your serious.” Hinata's eyes widened at the realisation. Sasuke stayed quiet and lent back. “Your mother.”
Sasuke turned away from Hinata, her words stinging him like a swarm of wasps. Although he knew she had never, and would never mean to cause him pain.
“I-I'm not allowed to talk about her.” Sasuke stammered uncharacteristically.
“Your father?”
“Hmm.” He agreed.
“Perhaps,” Hinatas voice gently guiding his eyes back to her. “I could tell you about her.”
“She a tooth fairy now?” He gave a small chuckle, trying to desperately hide the emotions building within.
“A guardian angel.”
“Seems fitting.” He smirked.
As predicted, a cloud enveloped the moon, their only sauce of light, and now in darkness he could ask a question without witnessing her reaction.
“Does she remember me?” His voice sounding to his own ear like the small child he had been when she had lost her life to save his own.
His mothers actions on that fateful day had changed Sasuke's life and not necessarily for the better. With his father in a state of despair and depression from the grief of loosing the love of his entire existence, he had become a empty vessel. His heart darkened with bereavement, turning him to the swiftly to an evil path and eventually becoming the devil and ruler of the daemon realm. In the years thereafter his fathers hate had turned from the world, to it's soul occupier: Sasuke.
“She begged to become the guardian of the boy she now in her care. I think, she reminds her of you.”
“Me?” Sasuke frowned.
“He's much younger of course being 13-”
“You forgot charming-”
“Oh how brainless of me,” She chuckled, “Yes, he has a certain charm I suppose.” She admitted. “His life could be radiant with light, if he would only make the right choices.”
With the cloud dissipating, the moon once again caked them in its beams of light. They remained quiet then, in a comfortable silence, both simply enjoying the others company without the need fill the space with inconsequential blabbering.
Sasuke's mind wondered to their 1st encounter. A mission; To bring balance to the human realm at the time engrossed in war. Such a mission was unheard of, an angel and demon required to work together. Between them they had had to make decisions, some harder than others. Compromised, when plans had gone astray. A life saved and another to be greeted by their fellows in the afterlife. In that, most troublesome and complex of time their friendship had formed, trust earned; something rarely given by himself.
“Hinata?”
“Hmm?” She replied. He glanced towards her, judging her reaction. Her eyes were closed and face pointing towards the moon, if they were in the sun anyone would think she was savouring the suns warmth.
“Do you think-” He stopped himself, and took pause of his thoughts.
“What is is Sasuke-Kun?” She turned her body, facing him, their knees almost touching. He scrutinized the sky, waiting obediently for the next inevitable cloud to conceal the moon once more.
“Do you think” He began again, “You can fall in love without a heart?”
Even in the darkness he could feel her gaze seeking his own. The space between them becoming so intense and electric could of fuelled an entire city.
In her own way Hinata didn't answer his question with words. Instead, he felt one of her fingers tentatively touching his own in the gap between them on their log.
“You've turned my world on it's axis,” He confessed in the pitch-black forest, “What had once seemed right, now seems wrong.” His hand took hold of her small one in his own and their fingers interlocked. “You starve and near exhaust me with your willingness to put others before yourself. Everything I've done, I've done for you. I'd move the stars for no-one; but you.” He heard her gasp, it's noise reverberating off the trees. “Don't you think we've done enough for humans? Our fathers? Perhaps it's time we be selfish, together.”
“I-I would like that.” Her voice sounding course with emotion.
“I would be human for you.”
“Sasuke.” She sighed. Of course she knew what those words meant. She knew his view on humans, and therefore understood the depth of them.
Then moon un-obscured by clouds once again, the secret placed doused in light. Therefore giving Sasuke the advantage of catching Hinata's quick glimpses from his eyes to his mouth. This own vision mirrored hers.
Slowly, they both closed the gap, both leaning towards the other. Sasuke angled his head to one side, to get a better angle. With his lips just a hairs width from hers he looked to her gaze once more, giving her the opportunity to pull away. She didn't. Hinata's eyes closed and at long last he felt her smooth and supple lips tenderly press his own. His own eyes closed and an involuntary groan escaped at the euphoria of such a sensation. He could feel her hands wrap around his shoulders pulling him all the more closer, his own wrapping around the curve of her waist.
He broke the kiss only to move his head to the other side, testing if a different angle achieved the same result. With each millisecond they had both come to the same conclusion, their lips touching would not be enough. Each opened their mouths, tongues grazed.
He may think humans insignificant and irrelevant but even he'd admit the act of kissing could very well redeem their every discretion.

Elvish
Good Evening All, Wow it's been a while since I have been able to update any of my stories and I'm so sorry for the wait, I've had A LOT going on this past year. Brain surgery to moving house it's been bonkers! So if you have been following my other stories I'm so so sorry! To get back into writing again I have wrote a little tiddle lol I keep dreaming all these scenes and finally got to a point to be able to write them down!
So in regards to the below little snippet if it is in Italics then this is spoken in Elvish. I did get the translations, but it I didn't want half the story to be lost in translation. Anyway enough wittering on from me. I hope you enjoy :) Please review and if you have any constructive criticism (other than to kill myslef!) then I will happily take it on board.

Elvish
War. If Hinata had learned anything about war it was this; It consumes everything and everyone. It's like a virus. Hate, violence, innocence lost, the earth scorched, damaged. The war of Elves verses humans has been a continuous battle since she was a child. Now at the age of 21 she just felt, loss.
Kneeling on another battlefield she knelt by her comrade trying in vain to stop the bleeding. She was no medic, but she knew basics. Blood needing to stay in the body is a basic she was failing.
"It's okay, Princess. She calls me home." He spoke in their tongue; elvish. Hinata shook her head. Who was she to deny their Deity?
Hinata felt a hand squeeze her shoulder. Neji, her cousin, always has her back.
"He's gone, Hinata." He confirmed. She sat back and looked at her blood stained hands. Not just Tori's, all the men and women who had died over the years. Did anyone even remember why this war had started, she wondered. Every battle more soul's cried out in pain; lost loved ones, wanted revenge; it was a viscous circle she had to end. Grabbing her trusted bow Hinata stood and walked from the battlefield. No longer would she be a pawn in this game of war.
Sasuke trekked through the dense forest, as silent as a panther stalking it's prey. He had to find the elves, they are his only hope. He's been warned many a time this was a suicide mission, but it was this or watching his brother fade away to nothing and he was not willing to do that; he couldn't.
"Not a step closer human!"
In a blink on an eye Sasuke could see 6 elves all with arrows aiming for his heart. He knew he could only see the 6 because they wanted him to. The forest is their domain. They knew how to hide and conceal themselves.
"Why come here human?"
Sasuke looked at each of elves, the only similarities between them are fact they are all male. Like humans they each had their own distinctive features and personalities.
"You know I never really planned on making it this far." Sasuke smirked.
"Anyone understand this man?"
Sasuke watched as the 6 male elves shook their heads.
"You don't understand me as much as I don't understand you." He guessed.
"Neji!, she is here." Came a call from the trees.
In an instant Sasuke was pushed to his knees and felt the point of an arrow at the back of his head. At the same time another 15 elves dropped to the forest floor and knelt on one knee, as a hooded figure emerged from the trees. The cloak's hood concealed all features making it impossible to see who wore it. As the figure moved closer the cloak made it seem as they were gliding over the forest floor.
Sasuke held his head high. At least if he were to die now he would be with his brother in death and wait for him on the other side.
The figure, now but a breath away removed their hood revealing the female elf. Sasuke had to squint his eyes from the sudden light that surrounded her. Strangely he heard a females heavenly voice singing. At first thinking perhaps an angel coming to welcome him to the other side, but soon realised they were singing in Elvish.
Once the glow surrounding her faded Sasuke was able to make out her facial features. Like the male who had been talking to him before he noted she had violet eyes and although pupil-less, unlike the males her's didn't seem as unfriendly.
"Good evening, man." She spoke as she knelt on the grass in front of him.
Sasuke met her stare and felt as if her eyes were searching his soul.
"If you're here to kill me can we get this over and done with now."
"Careful Hinata, we can't trust him. He is human after all." The male elf spoke with venom and dug the arrow deeper in to the back of his head, causing Sasuke to wince in pain.
"Neji." The female spoke gently to the male elf, "No blood is to be spilt during the festival of Kanenis. You must know this by now."
"But Hinata-".
"All of you," Sasuke watched as the female elf stood and spoke to her kin, "If even a hair is harmed on this humans head I will see to it you will never see a starry sky again. Do I make myself clear?!"
At her words all the elves covered their hearts with their right fist and bowed. The 6 males who had had their bows draw at him swiftly removed their arrows and placed their bows on to their backs.
Sasuke looked on confused by their actions. Yet even more confusing was the hand of the female held out towards him. He looked at her suspiciously.
"You're not going to kill me?" He asked.
"Come son of man, no harm will come to you."
Sasuke had no clue what she said, perhaps this had been a stupid plan after all; seeking the elves without knowing a word of their language. But something in her tone of voice implored him to not only take her hand, but trust her also.

Taken from a friend of a friend.
This friend of mine has been very consciously raising her young daughter outside of stereotypical gender norms. They’ve done quite a number on my friend, and she’s like, “Nope, my kid’s life will be different.”
Her daughter is small for her age, and will probably remain small. This has affected her self-confidence. Earlier this year, my friend decided to tell her daughter a slightly sanitized version of Arya Stark’s journey in GoT, to basically demonstrate how a small girl could learn to be badass.
Six months go by, and the daughter turns from 5 to 6. Her mom asks her what she wants for her birthday. The daughter says, “I want to learn how to fight.” So my friend, who has zero martial arts experience, looks up a place, and they go there.
The moment they get there, my friend is thinking, “This may not be the right place.” It’s a Krav Maga/MMA gym. Lots of burly dudes beating the crap out of each other, basically. Not your kid-friendly karate dojo.
But she doesn’t want to tell her daughter that they have to leave because the place is filled with intimidating men – it would pretty much fly in the face of everything she’s trying to teach her. So she says, “Okay. I don’t know if they have a kid’s class here. Why don’t you go ask who the teacher is, and then ask them?”
So her daughter walks up to one dude, asks for the teacher, then gets pointed to this tattooed, musclebound dude with his head shaved and a goatee. As my friend put, “The guy looked like your bigger, meaner younger brother.”
She trails behind her kid a bit, ready to step in, and listens in. Her daughter walks up the guy and says, “Hi! Do you have classes for kids? I want to learn how to fight.”
The guy looks down at this wee little girl, and he says, “Uh, well, no, we don’t really. Maybe I can talk to your mom and suggest some places for you? This isn’t really a place for little girls.”
Her daughter reaches into her jacket pocket, pulls out a nickel, holds it out to the guy and says, “Valar morghulis.”
The guy takes the nickel, looks at it, then says, totally deadpan: “Valar dohaeris. Of course I can teach you.”
The mom comes over and says, “I thought you said you didn’t have kid’s classes?” The guy says, “We do now. Come into the office and we’ll work up a training schedule.” The mom: “Do you have any idea how much it’ll cost?” The guy holds up the nickel. “She’s already paid up.”
