I smile when hearing what you said to me, squeezing your hand gently. “Yeah? Does this mean that you want to start trying?,” I ask you, feeling my heart race in my chest. The idea of starting the family that we had always wanted had me so excited and feeling full of so much love. I was so grateful that we were able to get to a good place and work through everything.
---
I smiled as I nodded at you happily. “Yeah, I do.” I say honestly. “We’ve been together since we were fifteen. I think it’s time we start the family we’ve always wanted,” I tell you as I pressed my forehead to yours. “I want to be yours forever, I want to have babies, I want to start our forever. I don’t care if we elope too, I just know I want to be with you for the rest of my life. I want your last name to be mine. You’re my family. I want the family we’ve always wanted to be real. I don’t want to wait anymore. I want what we have to be forever,” I say softly.
__
“It especially comes easily to me when I am feeling inspired.. like if I am crushing hard on a certain football player with pretty blue eyes,” I smile softly at you, taking your hand in mine. “I love getting to have you here with me. And I can’t wait to make you dinner later. Can you please bring me a jersey?,” I ask you.
---
“I’m glad you always have something that inspires you,” I say happily. “Ohh really? And who might that football player be if I may ask?” I asked with a smirk as I laced our fingers together. “I love being here with you, and I can’t wait for dinner either.” I grinned. “And I most definitely can bring you a jersey,”

I smile against your lips, kissing you back slowly and sweetly as I wrapped my arms around your waist to hold you close to me. I look back into your eyes when the kiss was broken, smiling softly at you. “I love you too. So much. You don’t have to ask me twice, I would love to come home to you,” I say before kissing you again, kissing you a little longer this time, keeping your body close to mine.
---
I held onto your hand tightly, walking back home with you. “I also want to turn the guest room into a nursery...” I hinted at you as we kept walking. I had always wanted to have a baby with you, and now that we were together again, I really wanted to focus on our future. I didn’t want to be just dating anymore, and I was hoping you would feel the same.
__
I blush from your compliment, smiling shyly at you. “I can really be a perfectionist because I just want to always give my best. And I love making the music and seeing what we can come up with. Writing comes pretty easy to me but it’s the actual recording that can take me a while,” I laugh softly. “I am glad you were here, though. I saw you at work and I wanted you to see me at work.”
---
“That completely makes sense. And you definitely gave it your best,” I say honestly. “Your lyrics seem like they come easily to you, and I think that’s incredible. I really enjoyed seeing you hard at work. It was something new to learn and I really had a great time,”

I look back at you with a softened expression, feeling completely impressed by you. Before I could dwell too much on it though, I heard what you said next. “Really? I would love to come home more than anything, love. I can’t wait to move into your room and share a space again. You’re sure this is what you really want, though? I don’t want her to have anything to do with this decision. I want to make sure that this is really what you want. But I want that more than anything,” I say, placing my hands on either side of your face as I stared deeply back into your eyes.
---
I ran my fingers through your hair as I looked into your eyes, then stroked your cheek gently. “She has nothing to do with this decision. I was going to tell you before she showed up, but beating the hell out of her face definitely motivated me.” I chuckled lightly. “I love you,” I say, that being the first time I tell you that I loved you since you left for tour. “I want to be with you, and I want you home, officially.” I say honestly as I kissed you softly. “Come home to me, I say against your lips.
__
I spent a few hours at the studio with you, laying down some more vocals and getting really into the arrangements. It was clear that I was very hands-on and involved when it came to my own sound and the way that I wanted things to sound. Max ended up leaving when we were done but I continued to hang out in the studio with you, sitting on the couch with you, letting my leg press up against yours. “What did you think? Hopefully this has not been super boring for you,” I laugh nervously.
---
I got really into you singing in the sound booth, smiling at you happily. I really enjoyed the entire process of you at work. “That was incredible. You were incredible! I’d love seeing you in action. You really know what you want when it comes to your work. That’s really impressive,”

I didn’t even look at Eleanor as she talked to us, really irritated by her words and wanting to fight with her but she was walking away before I could even bite back. I had my eyes on you the whole time though, only caring about you and not giving her any of my attention at all anymore. I was surprised when you went after her though, widening my eyes and feeling incredibly proud of you for standing up for yourself. The only reason I was going to say anything to Eleanor was to defend you but clearly you did not need me to do that. I wrap my arm back around your shoulders when you came back to me, kissing the top of your head gently. “I’m sorry but that was the hottest thing ever,” I smirk at you, letting out a quiet whistle. “Are you okay, my love?”
---
I felt my body melt into yours as I wrapped my arms around your waist. “No one fucks with me and my boyfriend,” I say as I looked up at you. “She got in the way once, she’s not doing it again.” I say honestly as I nodded. “I’m fine. That felt really good to do if I’m being honest,” I tell you. “We’ve spent so much time rebuilding what we have, she’s not getting in the way again,” I say as I started walking home with you. “I’m not losing you again,” I added. I stopped for a quick moment as I looked up at you. “I want you to move into my bedroom when we get home. It’s time for you to leave the guest room. It’s time for us to share a living space again, and I want to move in all your belongings from your sisters place. It’s time that you officially come home,” I say honestly as I looked in your eyes. “Only if you want it,”
__
“It did, thank you. Even though she was wanting to steal it from me the other day,” I chuckle softly when seeing the death glare that she gave me. -M
I smile softly at you, showing you that you could sit next to Max and I went in the booth to lay down vocals for a new song that I was working on. I lock eyes with you while I was in the booth. “Is it cool that I said all that? Is it chill that you’re in my head? Cause I know that it’s delicate…,” I sing into the mic, feeling like my vocals were sounding better than ever. It meant even more to have you here. -K
---
“You’re welcome! I’m glad to hear it worked out well for you.” I grinned. “Oh she is?” I smirked as I looked at you. “Sounds like I should get you another jersey just so she doesn’t steal it,” I chuckled. I took a seat next to Max afterwards, watching you in the sound booth. I smiled when hearing you sing, my eyes staying on you the whole time.

“What would I do without you?,” I ask, staring at you with an incredibly tender expression before eating a slice of pizza, my other hand wrapped around you as I kept you close to me. I kept stealing glances at you every so often, feeling so grateful to have you in my arms again. I wasn’t sure that this would ever be possible again and I was soaking up every minute.
---
(small skip)
We had been spending the last few weeks getting to know each other again, and I was really enjoying it and finding myself comfortable with you again. I was slowly starting to trust you again, but I was still having a hard time with the media getting in my face and trashing me online because of everything that had went down and because you postponed the rest of your tour to fix things between us. I tried not to let it bother me but it did eat me up on the inside. I wanted to get out of the house, so we went around town, being out and about like we used to until I noticed Eleanor coming our way. I tensed up as I held onto your hand tightly. “Louis, sh-she’s right there,” I pointed out. She still made me feel insecure even after all these years. -Jessica
I walked up to the both of you when I noticed you two. “Aww look, you two worked things out. That’s....depressing if you ask me,” I laughed. “I hope you know, he was fantastic taking care of me over the summer. He just really knows how to make a woman feel good you know. You probably forgot what that felt like. It’s such a shame, I always thought he’d be good for the bad girls, not the goody goody virgin Mary,” I smirked as I looked at you. “I hope it’s fun not being between someone’s legs, but you know, when you’re bored, you know where to find me,” I say as I licked around my lips. “Call me when you’re bored with her,” I say as I started walking away. -Eleanor
I tensed up even more, feeling so angry, but it wasn’t even towards you. I was so frustrated at the fact that I should have been angry at her the whole time instead of you. I let go of your hand, and walked up to Eleanor, taking her down by pulling her hair and turning her to face me, swinging my fist at her face. “Talk to him like that again, and you’ll be wanting to get your face fixed with extra plastic surgery until you’re unrecognizable. Don’t come near him again, don’t talk to him, don’t come near me...in fact, we never existed to you. It’s so sad and depressing that you were so desperate to fuck him that you had to come and wreck a relationship that’s he’s wanted for years, and because he never wanted you since High School, you just had to find a way to take advantage of him when he was at his lowest. Stay away from us, or I’ll fuck up your face even more, you desperate whore.” I say as I stood up. “And just so you know, he has fucked the virgin Mary, but that isn’t your concern anymore, because he’s no longer going to fuck the desperate whore. He knows what he wants, maybe you should figure out what you want that doesn’t belong to someone else,” I say as I stood up and walked towards you. -Jessica
__
“Thank goodness he didn’t because I would not look cute with spilled coffee on me,” I laugh softly. “Sebastian, this is Max. He’s my best friend and partner in crime. He’s the only other person that I write with and he produces all my stuff,” I say. “Apparently you are a fan though, so you probably already knew that,” I giggle softly as I teased you.
---
I chuckled softly as I looked at you. “Nah, you’d be cute in anything,” I smiled at you. “It’s a pleasure to meet you Max,” I say as I reached out to shake his hand. “I hope that Jersey worked out well for you,” I say honestly as I grinned. “I can’t wait to see Katie in action,”

I smiled slightly when seeing you cover your legs with my sweater but I knew it could only do so much to keep you warm. I help you with the blanket, covering you up before sitting down with you and putting the pizza box in my lap, opening it up. “At least we will be done eating before I start crying,” I smile a bit as I gestured to the television as the movie started to play. It felt nice to be here like this with you.
---
I got under your blanket, scooting closer to you while eating some pizza. “I can always wipe the tears away, like I’ve down before.” I chuckled softly. I snuggled closer to you under the blanket, laying beside you and eating the pizza like I’ve always done, using your chest as my plate, like I usually did.
__
“Yes, very hot,” I say back to you as I led you inside the studio, smirking over at you before walking in to find my good friend and collaborator, Max, waiting there for me. He gave me a knowing smirk when I walked in with you. “I ran into Sebastian at the coffee shop and I thought he could join our session today,” I say, hoping he would be cool about this.
“Well, isn’t that a funny coincidence.. Please tell me she was not actually stalking you,” I laugh softly, finding her crush on you endearing. -M
---
“Well then, I guess I know what makes you tick,” I winked at you while following you into the studio. I chuckled from your friend’s words as I shook my head. “She did not stalk me. I bump into her at the coffee shop and almost spilled my coffee on her because neither of us were paying attention,”

I smile softly at you, kissing the top of your head gently before going to answer the door. I collect our food, locking the door again after heading back inside and following you to the bedrooms. “We can eat in my room if you want. I don’t want you to feel like we are messing up your bed or anything,” I say, always being the messier one out of the two of us. This was your house though and I did not want to invade your own personal space. I walk to the guest room with you where I would be staying. “Go ahead and put whatever movie on that you want to watch first,” I smile at you.
---
I followed you to the guest room, plopping down onto the bed after putting on ‘Titanic’ since we were just talking about it. I sat up afterwards, waiting to have the pizza with you as I pulled your sweater over my legs since I was cold, burying myself into it until you joined me on the bed. I didn’t want to live in a depression anymore, and I wanted to be able to go back to the way things used to be between us.
__
I showed you how I put your name in my phone, typing out ‘Sebastian’ with a bunch of heart and hearteyes emojis. I send you a text so you could have my number saved, just sending you those same emojis. “The one time that I said anything about it bothering me, people attacked me since I write about romance and my personal life… but what artist doesn’t? I love hearing you are secure enough though to not be scared. It’s hot,” I smirk at you before getting out of the car with you and walking towards the studio with you.
---
I chuckled lightly when seeing how you entered my name into your phone, doing the same with your contact in my phone and showing you afterwards. “I feel like people forget that they use their personal experiences as their muse to write poems, stories, movies, music. At one point in someone’s life, they’ve experienced those things, and it’s like people forget that everyone is a human being.” I explained as I got out of the car with you, smirking at what you said. “Hot huh?”

I kiss the top of your head gently as I continued to hold you close, looking back into your eyes. “I am not in any rush. We can go completely at your pace here. But I want to be with you too. I am right here and I am not going anywhere. Even if you would kick me out, I would probably just end up sleeping in your driveway again,” I admit, really wanting to put in the effort and work to be there for you. “You are in complete control here and I promise we will move at whatever pace is most comfortable for you,” I say before hearing the car pull up with the pizza. I already paid for it and everything so I just had to get it. “Do you want to eat down here or do you want to eat in bed?,” I ask you, tucking some hair behind your ear.
---
I nodded slowly when hearing what you said. I still clung onto you, something that was well needed. “You’re not going back to sleeping in your car.” I chuckled lightly. “We can eat in bed.” I say honestly. “I don’t care whose bed we’re in,” I tell you as I got up when hearing the pizza so one of us could answer the door.
__
“You should have slid into my DM’s. I would be curious what you would want to say in a comment,” I flirt with you. “Or you could just text me,” I say, opening up my phone and opening up a ‘new contact’ page for you to put your number in. We never even exchanged numbers before but I wanted to be able to text you whenever I wanted. I continue to sip on my iced latte as I watched you put your number in my phone. “I just don’t want to scare you away. Too many guys have been intimidated by the press and everyone online talking about whoever I am dating. I am trying not to add fuel to the fire but I also get tired of hiding,” I admit quietly to you.
---
“I was thinking of sliding into your DM’s, but I also didn’t want to come off as desperate.” I chuckled faintly. I smirked when you gave me your phone and I added my number into it. I handed you your phone back as I smiled at you. “Here you go,” I say happily. “You could never scare me away,” I grinned at you. “I think people need to stay out of everyone’s personal life. Why should it matter to them who we date?”

“I tried but I see that your love for that movie is not going anywhere. It’s definitely a great movie, don’t get me wrong. It just makes me really sad,” I admit with a faint chuckle. “It devastates me that they could not grow old together. I love a movie with a happily ever after and that one wrecks me so get ready to have me sobbing next to you,” I laugh before looking seriously back at you. “A-Are you sure? I don’t want to rush you.. I have no problem waiting if you need to but I want you to be mine again too,” I say softly to you.
---
“You know I’m the only one that’s ever seen you cry during Titanic, and we’ll just keep it that way.” I chuckled softly. I shook my head as I looked at you. “You’re not rushing me. This is my decision,” I say honestly. “I think I just want to wait to have sex again, but I definitely want to be yours again. I don’t want to be without you. We can start fresh. Like it’s our first time dating. We’ll take things slow. No sexual interactions until it feels right. No seeing each other in our underwear. We live in our separate rooms, but we can sleep in the same bed once in a while.” I explained. “Just take it slow,” I added as I looked at you. “I want to be able to trust you again, but it’s going to take me time, but I still want to be with you.”
__
“Not the jealous type I see… interesting,” I say. I didn’t want you to be jealous in a toxic way but I wanted to know that you were crazy about me too. Seeing the girls in your comments definitely made me jealous. “I will have to wear some of your team colors. I would wear your jersey but I know that will create a whole big thing and I don’t want to put that on you,” I say, the world always caring so much about who I was dating and it made me feel like I had to hide with whoever I was seeing.
---
“Mmm, I haven’t hit my jealousy stage yet, but I did see some comments the guys leave on your page and I definitely felt something.” I say honestly. “I’d love to see you in my colors at the game.” I smirked. “Honestly, if you wore my jersey, I wouldn’t mind it at all. Let people think what they want. Our business isn’t theirs anyways.” I say honestly.

“It is a great film, I won’t argue with you there. But I will never understand why you love to rewatch one of the saddest movies time and time again,” I tease you, secretly being a huge softie and it made me cry every time that we watched it together. I wrap my arms tighter around you, resting my chin on the top of your head as I rubbed your back gently. “I will always be there for you too, my love. I promise you.”
---
“Because it’s also the most romantic story out there, and it’s an amazing movie. You can’t say no to Titanic. You always teased me for loving that movie when we were kids and you always thought I’d grow out of it, but that’s totally wrong.” I giggled softly as I looked up at you. “I want to be yours again,” I say softly. “I don’t want to wait to be yours again,” I say honestly.
__
“I hadn’t even noticed. I don’t check my notifications. I have a lot of men liking and commenting on my photos,” I say, purposefully trying to get a little bit of a jealous rise out of you. “Thank you for wanting to spend your personal day with me,” I smile sweetly at you, lacing our fingers together in the car and meeting your eyes. “Maybe I could come to the game this weekend if you want me there.”
---
“Well, I definitely sent you a lot,” I laughed softly. “I didn’t comment, because I wanted to be coy, but I did do a lot of likes,” I grinned. “And it’s not a problem. That’s how I like to spend my personal time anyways, with people I enjoy  being with.” I smiled as I held onto your hand. “I’d love if you came to the game too,”

“I am not going to let anything tear us apart. I completely fucked up and I will own up to that. I just want to do whatever you are comfortable with. I hate how badly I hurt you and I just want to get through this together… whatever it takes,” I say honestly to you, squeezing your hand gently. “The same movies, huh? So Beauty and the Beast, definitely then,” I tease you, always finding it cute how much you loved that movie. “But thank you for always being there. I don’t even want to think about that right now though. It’s not my main priority. I just want to focus on being here with you,” I say honestly to you.
---
I sighed softly as I leaned in and hugged you tightly. “I want to get through this too,” I say honestly. “And Titanic. Why do you always forget that I love that movie too?” I chuckled lightly. “I will always be there, no matter what.” I say softly as I clung to you. “Always.” I say again, burying myself into your chest and finding comfort there.
__
I smile softly at you, blushing when hearing you say that you stalked my page too. “Hopefully you saw something that you liked,” I say before biting my lip gently when you mentioned eventually wrapping your arms around me. “I am excited to have you at the studio with me and maybe if you’re not busy later, I can make you dinner? It can be our second date. I do have a place here in L.A even though New York is the main place I call home. We can still have privacy though.”
---
“I definitely did. Didn’t you get all my notifications of my likes?” I teased you. “Like I mentioned before, today is the first personal day I’ve had in a long while. I’d love to have dinner with you,” I smiled at you happily. “That all sounds great to me honestly,”

“Okay, I just wanted you to know that I am willing to put in the work and the option is there if you really wanted it,” I say to you. “But that sounds really nice. You can pick out whatever movies that you would like to watch,” I say, excited to spend that quality time with you and have it feel like old times. I missed you so much in every single way and I was just so grateful to be spending time with you again. “I can’t even think about tour right now.. I don’t know if I will ever finish it but it’s not even on my mind right now,” I speak honestly, not feeling that passion for music or touring at all right now. My focus right now was on being here with you and working on rebuilding our relationship.
---
“I’ll think about the therapy. I’m just worried about someone trying to start more baggage and I don’t want everything to be completely ruined or tear us apart,” I say honestly. “You know I’m always going to pick the same movies we always watched.” I chuckled lightly. “And I’m just saying, whenever you decide to finish or go back on tour, no matter when it is, I’ll go with you. And not just because I don’t want a repeat of what happened, but because I support you, and I want to be in that part of your life too. I don’t want to be shut out of it. I’ve been there since you did Grease, before you even decided to audition for The X Factor, I’ve been there through it all. I want to be there until the end,”
__
I get in the car with you, sipping on my drink before looking back at you with bright blue eyes. “I really enjoyed our date too. And it’s scary to admit but I think about you a lot. I mean, obviously.. You did catch me checking your Instagram. You don’t really post often though but I did enjoy the photos of you in a tank top,” I smirk, having a real weakness for your arms. “I want to continue seeing you, even if it’s going to be difficult with our schedules..”
---
I smiled when hearing what you said as I grinned widely. “Yeah? So do I, a lot. More than you think,” I smiled at you. “I have to admit that I have been stalking your page as well quite a bit,” I chuckled softly. I blushed lightly from your words. “My arms huh? Wait til you feel them wrapped around you some day,” I winked at you. I heard what you said afterwards. “I would like that too,”

I nod when hearing what you said and I squeeze your hand gently, really grateful that you were being so patient and kind towards me when it did not feel like I deserved it. "I am willing to do whatever it takes to get us back on track. I know it's going to take time for you to trust me again but I would never fuck this up ever again. I took things for granted and I was a complete idiot but I am here now. I am going to make this right, whatever it takes.. I am even willing to go to therapy together if you want. Whatever you need," I say honestly, staring at you incredibly sincerely.
—-
I shook my head softly. “I don’t want to go to therapy.” I say honestly. “I believe you,” I say honestly as well. “I know we can work this purpose ourselves. We don’t need someone else’s input,” I tell you. “I just don’t want you out of my life,” I tell you. “I do however request that when the pizza gets here, that we do what we always did when we had pizza. Just sitting in one of our beds and watching movies. I could really use that right now.” I say as I brushed my hair out of my face. “And whenever you decide to finish your tour, I’m going with you.”
__
"I am not one to chase after someone just so you know. I usually like to be chased and to be pursued. I hadn't heard from you after our date. I figured you were just busy with football or maybe you didn't like me as much as I had hoped," I say quietly to you. "You were taking too long to reach out to me though so I guess I have to make the move now, Superstar," I smile softly at you before walking away from you to get my iced latte, paying for it and kindly thanking the barista before I walked back over to you. "Let's go," I say, leading the way out of the coffee shop for you and to my car where security opened the door for us.
—-
“Sometimes I like to play hard to get, but practice has been incredibly rough lately. I haven’t had time to do anything for myself. This is my first personal day in a while.” I say honestly. “And I definitely like you more than you think so don’t think opposite because I definitely enjoyed our date.” I say as I followed you.

I nod when hearing what you said, looking back over at you and nervously running a hand through my hair. "I always really wanted a family with you and to just settle down but after the way that I have massively fucked up, I don't know that it's something that could even be possible for us any more," I admit honestly to you. "I would love to still have the life that we have always wanted together but even if you were to give me another chance, we can't rush because what if you were to change your mind? Social media is so negative now, please don't pay attention to what people are saying. People send me hate every single day on there and it's why I have to step away from it all too. I don't care what anyone thinks of me except my loved ones. They are all disappointed in me too but that is what I pay more attention to. I have a lot of making up to do," I say. "I want to focus on a quieter life and away from the negative. I wouldn't have fucked up the way that I did if I didn't have this fame that I don't know how to manage. What do you want though?," I ask you curiously.
—-
I listened to everything you said. I was glad that we could have this conversation like two mature adults. “Louis, I love you. I’ve always loved you. And I’ve always wanted a family with you, I still want all those things we talked about with you. I don’t want to give up on that, and I want to work this out with you. I don’t want you to think about me changing my mind because I haven’t even changed it.” I say honestly as I took your hand in mine. “I don’t hate you,” I say softly. “At first I did, but I don’t want to be angry anymore. I was angry with you, but I don’t want to be angry anymore. Just because I was angry doesn’t mean I stopped loving you. We have a history, a long one, and I don’t want to throw it away because of what happened. I just want to move past this. I want to trust you again.”
__
I blush when hearing what you said to me. "I was just stopping in to grab an iced latte and I was probably going to head to the studio. Are you busy right now? Do you want to maybe come with me?," I ask you, just blurting the words out. I found myself wanting to spend time with you and take advantage of the fact that we were both in the same town. "I got to see you do what you do and maybe you might want to see what I do too? Unless that would be super boring to you," I laugh nervously. I found myself desperate to spend more time with you, obviously crushing hard on you.
—-
“You know what? I’d love to! I’d love to see what you do.” I smiled at you. I was glad at the chance of having some time to hang out with you again. “I was wondering when we’d get to hang out again.” I say honestly as I smiled again. “Ill wait until you get your latte and then you can lead the way,” I grinned.

I nod when hearing what you said, completely understanding where you were coming from. "Yeah, I understand. The ball is completely in your court. And if this is too much for you, I would understand if you tell me to leave. Let's just have dinner together tonight though and then I will leave you alone," I say, not wanting to really be alone at the moment. I was tired of the quiet even though it was my fault that I had to deal with it all. I was not looking forward to going back to the quiet after dinner.
—-
“You don’t have to leave me alone. I’m just saying things are going to be different. But we can take this time to get to know each other again, as adults.” I point out. “We’re not kids anymore. I want to know that things are going somewhere.” I explained. “I always wondered if we were going to get married or have kids and I was hoping that would have happened by now, but it didn’t. I don’t want to wait anymore. I want to do something with my life. I don’t want to be known as the girl that dated you. I don’t want that title of just being known for being in your life. I want to make something of myself. Everyone is hating on me on social media because we’re not together. Your fans are attacking me and they’ve never done that before. That’s why I won’t leave my house. I just…I want to be something. I want my life to move forward and if you still want me in your life, you need to move forward too and figure out what you want to do with your life.” I asked as I looked at you. “Do you know what you want? Besides continuing with music? Do you know what else you want?”
__
I blush when you noticed my phone screen and I quickly put my phone away. "I have been good... busy. How about you?," I ask you, nervously tucking my hair behind my ear. I had been seen publicly going out several times over the past week with my closest friends, trying to distract myself from how badly I was crushing on you. We went on one date but yet I could not get you off my mind.

I noticed as you tucked your hair behind your ear. I smiled at you as I took a sip of my coffee. “I’ve been doing great. I’m glad I got to run into you, makes my day even better.” I grinned at you. “What are you up to today?” I asked curiously since we both were out and about.

"I have enough sweaters, I don't mind," I say. "I like you keeping my stuff anyways," I speak softly. Seeing you wearing my sweater made my heart swell and it had always been something I loved. I nod at you, not really having eaten much lately either. I get out my phone, ordering from your favorite pizza place. "It should be here soon," I say, putting my phone back in my pocket as I gave you my full attention. I was surprised by what you said but grateful. "Yeah, that would be nice. I don't think I could ever act like you are a stranger, anyways," I say. I was nervous above all else and I did not want to do anything to make you uncomfortable or make you question whether this was a good idea.
——
I heard what you said as I nodded slowly. “I know that’s how it might be for you, but I can’t make any promises from my end.” I say honestly. “You feel like a stranger to me now. You’re a whole different person to me.” I sniffled. “I don’t want to hold it against you, but what you did, you would have never done before. And you not being able to open up to me because you were scared of how I’d see you…you’ve never done that before either. I can’t look at you the same way, and I don’t think it’s going to go back to normal either, no matter what way this gets fixed. You’re not the same person I fell I’ve with, but we’re not those fifteen year olds anymore. We’re in our 30’s, we’re not kids anymore, but I don’t want to hold this against you anymore. It’s exhausting, and I’m tired of hurting. You have your space here and I’ll have mine, and we’ll see how things play out.” I say honestly. I was tired of crying and being in pain and I wanted to at least be civil with you.
__
A few weeks had passed since our date and even though I had a fun time, I had left it at that. We were both very busy and the idea of getting into a relationship terrified me. I lived in New York but would travel to L.A sometimes for work, which was where your team was located. I walked into my favorite coffee shop, not looking where I was going because I had Instagram open, where I was stalking your page before running into a very hard chest. I widened my eyes, expecting hot coffee to be poured onto me and sighing in relief when I was safe, looking up and soon realizing it was you that I walked right into. "Hi... Sorry about that," I breathed out, not realizing my phone was still open to your page and you would be able to see that.

I was walking to a table to sit at with my coffee as I bumped into you. I was glad to see that my coffee didn’t spill. “Hi there…” I smiled at you. “See anything interesting online?” I chuckled softly. “How have you been?” I asked, wanting to make conversation.

"You don't have to give it back, don't worry about it," I say softly to you before following you inside of the house, locking the door behind us before awkwardly stuffing my hands in my pockets. "Me neither.. but are you hungry? I could order us some food. If you're anything like me, I am sure you haven't really been eating lately," I say softly to you. I couldn't just push away the need I had to take care of you. No matter how much you might not want to be around me right now, I could not help but want to make sure that you were looking after yourself.
—-
“You know I have a hoard of your sweaters from before right? I think you should at least keep one of them.” I say as I looked at you. “Something to eat sounds great honestly. I really haven’t had much to eat,” I added. “I guess I should also say that I don’t want us to act like complete strangers now that you’re staying here. Maybe we can look at it as a fresh start…see where it goes…”
__
I blush from your comment before taking a sip of my champagne to hide my smile. "Well, you definitely know what a girl likes to hear," I giggle softly. I was still being cautious because your football season was just starting and I was currently writing and recording for my next album so we were both very busy. "I mean, I have definitely had some guys try to pursue me but I am never interested. I don't really give anyone the time of day," I laugh softly, it being obvious I had built up some walls.
—-
“I used to be a ladies man growing up,” I chuckled. “I always have girls throwing themselves at me but I’m not really a fan of that. It looks desperate to me.” I say honestly as I took a bite of the pizza.
