at risk of sounding like an idiot i will say that spending all of my teen and young adult years on tumblr basically reading the virtual diaries of hundreds of trans people in every flavor has made me like .. immune to Being a transphobe i guess. not that i think i would’ve been one if i wasn’t on tumblr, but with the experiences ive had, the trans community feels like home to me. i’m completely comfortable around, with, and talking about trans people, they’re part of the same community as me and feel more like family to me than cis women do. whenever i see a lgb person being transphobic im like oh.. you’ve been sheltered from your own community and are alienated by the people who share it with you, and therefore are alienated from that part of who you are. how pathetic, yknow. “dropping the T” would be like cutting out one of your own vital organs
