Yes!!! 6 months ago I left a job that was not fulfilling, supportive, and full of hostility. I was recruited to my current company which believes in me, supports me, offers great training and awesome leadership! Even though I was hired 6 months ago, I severely broke my ankle third week on the job so I only count my success from September when I was able to go back into the field. I love that my VP makes announcements like this and celebrates our wins, and that our team celebrates each other. I’m so glad I know my worth and got out of my comfort zone by accepting this position. In 11 days it will be 6 months since I dislocated and broke 3 bones in my right ankle. It’s incredible how serious of an injury this was and that I’m still in physical therapy. There are times that I think it shouldn’t take this long to heal, and then there’s times where I really acknowledge what a serious and complicated injury it really was. All things considered, it’s remarkable what a miraculous healer your body can be. I’m amazed with these scars looking so good. The first picture is the left side of my ankle, the second is the right. These scars are beautiful. I’m not thrilled that my beautiful ankle will never look the same as it did, or even resemble my left ankle, but it’s beautiful in its own right. But it functions almost fully now, it’s still a work in progress, but it will have full mobility. I’m working diligently with my exercises and am a very good patient. My PT loves that I challenge myself to go down steps or do things to help challenge how my ankle moves. Is not easy having 2 plates and 11 screws in my ankle.
