Yesterday, bureaucracy made me drink alcohol for the first time in over 6 years. I never thought the reason I would drink again would be a bunch of papers.

#before anyone gets concerned: i chose not to drink because alcohol didn't mix well with the meds i had to take #but i recently changed them back to old ones and i had been thinking about trying to see how they react to alcohol #a lot better btw #and jägermeister still tastes the same #anyway don't take this too seriously #also fun fact: it wasn't even german bureaucracy that made me turn to alcohol

Hi!! Thank you so much for checking in, I really appreciate it! ❤ I know I basically like... vanished from here, but there are 3 reasons for that.

My mental health this year is all over the place but, over all, with more downs than ups. My workplace kinda made things a lot worse with a toxic environment, working all night and being away from the people I feel safe/comfortable with. Luckily, my contract ended at the end of October and I'm back home again and like full-time working on getting better. And it works, I no longer feel like isolating myself 24/7; just like half the time.

My laptop is basically broken. It started a few months ago when a few of the keys got stuck, my dad tried to fix it, but now there are a lot more problems. I get frustrated every time I just look at it, so I only really turn it on when I absolutely have to.

I kinda lost interest in the MCU. I can't even really say why. The new stuff doesn't really excite me that much and there is SO MUCH new stuff coming out, it's kinda overwhelming for me. So.... basically I need a new hyperfixation.

Oh, and I got Pokemon Scarlet and my inner child needed to play it.

Anyway, that's me right now! I do hope that I someday feel like being more active on this website again because I kinda miss it.

Hi! That's so sweet of you! I know I haven't really been that active on here lately and I'm sorry for that, but tbh I just haven't really felt like being online in general. I'm also trying get a job abroad next year but the process is so much more time consuming and complicated (and expensive) than I anticipated, and it's just its own entire thing that makes me wanna throw my laptop against a wall in frustration. But other than that I'm okay! How are you?

My dad sent me a picture of my laptop that he took apart (to fix it) with the caption: let's see if I can put it back together, and my dumbass realised that I didn't make a back-up from everything.

Did I worry about losing all my important files for job hunting? No.

Did I worry about losing pictures that captured precious memories? Also no.

Did I worry about losing the WIPs of the silly little things I write? 100%.

#I didn't made a back-up because I was confident my father could fix it #(it is fixed btw) #but in that moment i swear my heart stopped #because of wips i haven't even looked at in months

They’re just finishing up in the lab, putting everything back in its original place, when the chorus of NSYNC’s It’s Gonna Be Me suddenly blares through the room. Immediately, Peter’s hand shoots into his pocket and he pulls out his phone, answering it in the same movement, balancing it between his ear and shoulder in a way that makes Tony very anxious about see the phone fall – even with Peter’s stickiness. “Hey May! Yeah, I’m about to head out. Yes, we had fun. No, nothing caught on fire this time.”

Tony glances towards the spot they have just cleaned of the soot and fire extinguisher foam. It’s probably better if May doesn’t know everything that’s happening in the lab.

“No, no, I can totally pick up some eggs on the way home. I promise I won’t forget it. Okay, I won’t forget it again. Larb you, too.”

“You are aware that you’re pretty much the only person who doesn’t have their phone on silent, right?” Tony asks as soon as he hang up. “I thought you kids are practically allergic to ringtones. And given that one of my suits had to fish you out of lake because of a ringtone, I would’ve thought you learned your lesson.”

“Giving someone a personalized ringtone is my form of love language,” Peter answers, completely ignoring the jab at him. Because, yeah, not having his phone on silent while spying on an illegal alien weapons deal had been kinda stupid of him.

Suddenly, Tony perks up, a thought crossing his mind for the first time. “FRIDAY, call Peter’s cellphone."

Peter simply sighs, like had been expecting this.

And then, The Imperial March from Star Wars is filling the silence between them.

Tony blinks once, twice; then – “You gave me a villain song?”

“It’s one of the most iconic songs ever made!”

“There’s literally a song called Iron Man.”

“I think you should be grateful that I picked a Star Wars song for you,” Peter half-heartedly mumbles as he picks up his bag, biting the inside of his cheek to hide his smile.

“What was that?!”

“Nothing! Need to leave now to buy the eggs! Bye, Mr. Stark!”

“So,” a certain redheaded Russian spy says as she slides into the seat next to Tony before their Avengers meeting, “I heard you finally figured out that Peter has a different ringtone for everyone.”

Tony squints at her, though to be honest, he’s not at all surprised that she knows it. After all, he is talking to Natasha. “And how did you find that out?”

“I’m not giving up my sources.”

He sighs, knowing it would probably useless to even try to get her talking anyway. “I’m guessing you know what your ringtone is.”

“Of course.” Nat smirks, looking absolutely proud – if proud of herself for finding it out or proud of Peter for choosing it, Tony can’t say. “It’s the Kim Possible intro.”

The ringtones just won’t leave Tony alone. It’s maddening.

“What about MJ?” he asks out of nowhere after picking Peter up from school.

The kid – who is used to Tony asking about different personalized ringtones by now – simply pulls out his phone and swipes across it a few times. Instead of hearing a song, it’s a voice recording. “You better not pick a stupid song for me, you dork.”

“MJ didn’t want a song.”

Yeah, Tony probably should’ve guessed that.

The Jurassic Park theme song is playing throughout the penthouse and before Peter has even the chance to reach for his phone, Tony yells from the kitchen: “That better be the Capsicle or Barnes or else I’m disowning you!” He simply chuckles as he answers the call.

“The audacity!”

“C’mon, Mr. Stark, you’ve gotta admit it’s kinda perfect.”

“You picked an AC/DC song for Thor!”

“It’s called Thunderstruck and he’s the god of thunder!”

“You’re on bot cleaning duty until you’ve thought long and hard about what you did. Kids these days, it’s unbelievable.”

May is looking into the fridge, trying to figure out what to make for dinner with all the stuff that they need to eat soon before it goes bad, when the cover of Holding Out For A Hero from the second Shrek movie fills the small apartment. Before she can even open her mouth, Peter is already skipping out of the bathroom, his hair still wet from his shower (and shaking his head like a dog, sending dozens of droplets flying through the air, most of the landing on the mirror she just cleaned yesterday), as he answers his phone. “Hey, Mr. Stark! No, I’m home, May was just about to start dinner. Hold on, I’ll ask her.”

Pressing his phone against his hoodie, Peter looks over to her, the pleading in his eyes badly hidden. “Hey, what do you think about Mr. Stark stopping by here and having dinner with us? He would pick up something to eat on his way.”

Giving the fridge one last look, May decides that the food inside will survive another day. And it’ll give her some time to look up some recipes – hopefully ones that don’t burn easily. “Alright, but it needs to have vegetables.”

Peter’s grin is stretching from ears to ear. “She said yes, but vegetables aren’t optional. No, I don’t think the lettuce on a burger is enough. Don’t say that, I’m sure you’ll find a junk food place that also has fresh vegetables. See you in a bit.”

She watches as her nephew hangs up and types away on his phone, still grinning. She knows what he’s doing without even glancing in the direction of the screen; changing Tony’s ringtone back to Darth Vader’s theme song – just in case Tony tries calling Peter while he’s here. “How long are you gonna let him think that you associate him with the most well-known villain of all time?”

“Don’t know. Until it stops being fun watching him getting gray hairs about it. Or until he gets dementia and forgets all about it.”

May snorts. “Good luck with that. I’m betting he will be on his deathbed and still remember it.” However, she’s not gonna be the one who spills the beans to Tony, because Peter is right: it is pretty funny watching him go all red and pouty whenever he hears the iconic tune.
