With it being World Suicide Prevention Day, here is something I wrote.
Not always easy to talk about. Especially if you are hurting and it feels like the world is collapsing around you. January 2010 I almost succeeded in leaving this world. I was in a bad spot. I was undiagnosed with depression, anxiety and BPD. I didn't know where to turn or what to do. I almost died on that day. Today I look back at it and I am glad I was saved. That I was found in time and the medical staff who managed to bring me back. HUGE thanks to those heros. After that happened, I got help. I have done alot better. I have had my ups and downs but have the tools to manage it.
I Choose Life. This is what I keep telling myself when ever those thoughts creep back. Yes they still haunt me and they always will. Please don't fear for me or feel sorry for me. It is a battle I do not intend to lose. I still have too much to do in this life to let go. I remind myself of that everytime those thoughts creep in. I know my warning signs, I know how to get help, how to reach out. I am stronger than I have ever been.
I Choose Life
On this day not only do I remember where I have been but I remember those I and we have lost to this, those who did their best to fight it. I will NEVER forget them. I understand the daily battles, just like some of you do. Not only do I remember them but I am also out here for ANYONE who feels like they are losing that battle.
A couple months ago I hit a big low, almost checked myself into the hospital. I reached out and I had some amazing people reach out and offer me support. It helped me through that time. I would gladly do the same for any of you.
Let's not look down on those suffering, let's try our best to help. That doesn't mean saying things like "have you tried just not being sad?" or "think happy thoughts" or "it's not that bad, you're over reacting".
Let's try being there, listening, even just sitting there with someone. Sometimes that helps more than anything else.
PONCHO — an article of clothing of ancient origin, a sleeveless garment with unsewn sides and a space for the head to pass through, with origins in Latin America along the Andes Mountains. Having been worn by their people for hundreds of years, the poncho is closely linked to Mexican culture and considered an iconic Mexican symbol. The style then was adapted as rain gear, made of a waterproof material, and often hooded.
I have been saying this for the whole season. It is the chip. If you were paying attention, you would see that.
Tup killed a jedi and we still love him. It was the chip.
Jesse wanted to execute Ahsoka. It was the chip.
Same with Rex. He almost did it because of the chip.
They all executed order 66.
Wrecker almost killed his brothers but we're quick to forgive him. It wasn't him. It was the chip.
Why is Crosshair different? Why would he deserve what he's getting? He's the same as Tup, Jesse, Rex, the 501st and Wrecker. We are quick to forgive them but not Crosshair?
I am sure this is the reverse of what happened to Wrecker, the chip is still there. Its trying to take control but its not fully capable of that. As the chip loses control its causing headaches, just like with Wrecker when the chip was trying to take control. Kind of like when you have a short in an electrical system.
AND YOU WANT ME TO BELIEVE THAT THIS DOESN’T MEAN ANYTHING-
So after a few days to digest what happened. I can finally write this out.
So much confusion with everyone about Crosshair and even with myself how the writers wrote it. Going to say this part now, they new Season 2 was a go well before it was announced. Its the only way.
Ok so we all know what happened to Crosshair in Episode 1. Order 66, chip partially activates, tries to kill Caleb. Good Soldiers Follow Orders. Not gonna get into all that.
Now since he confronted the Batch on Bracca, we have notice a change in how he is. He surrounds them, tries to convince them to turn. Even when he fights, he doesn't shoot to kill. He only ordered the engine on to drive them out as he knew they could escape. He knows what they are capable of. He has been with them his whole life.
After having debris dropped on him, thrown, and cooked by the Venator engine, his chip has to be damaged. Since that blast we see him slowly changing and at times fighting it.
On Ryloth we see him again, this time with a scar from when he was cooked. Tbe scar doesn't line up to where the chip is, the scar is farther back and we have seen scans of his head in the medical facilities earlier. Now on Ryloth he follows his orders as a good soldier should. When the Batch have completed their objectives of rescuing the Syndullas from the Imperials, Crosshair sets up an ambush with Regs. The out comes Howzer. Says his speach and half the regs drop their blasters and shields.
Now at this point, one would think that Crosshair would just order their deaths as they are just Regs. But no, he orders them detained and sent off to the brig. This isn't the same Crosshair from Episode 3 when he ordered the slaughter of Saw's fighters and the civilians. Good Soldiers Follow Orders, so why not just have them shot on site?
In the last 2 episodes, you see him starting to enact a plan. He knew that the team would come for Hunter. In their minds they need him. He is the leader. So he set his trap. But had a backup plan just incase. He doesn't trust the Empire 100% at this point but the chip still has been kicking in and out on him.
After killing his Elite Squad, and the droids that Omega activated come on line we see him joining his brothers again, just like old times.
Now, this is where I started to notice things. The Elite Trooper who comes in (same one AZ knocks out) didn't see who killed the squad. All she sees is the droids attacking and everyone fighting them. After she exits the room and starts heading back to the shuttle, she calls Rampart to say "the clone lost control of the situation). Rampart doesn't exactly know what that means. For all Rampart knows is that the Batch killed Crosshair and the squad. There was no clear communication. That was done on purpose. That trooper already told Rampart she doesn't trust "the Clone". So she doesn't care if Crosshair lives. She knows the city is going to burn. Why not let Crosshair go with it. Then she can be the Commander.
Now we fast forward to the platform with the Marauder. Crosshair doesn't know that he was betrayed. Good Soldiers Follow Orders. He knew that if things fell apart that Rampart was going to destroy the city. He was in for that part of the plan. He knows that the Empire is larger than him. So if he dies, he dies. That is the mindset.
Now people were upset that the Batch left him behind. Well he wanted to stay. He wanted to get back to where he needs to be. Yes his brothers abandoned him again. But short of stunning him, Crosshair would have never left with them.
Leaving him on a platform with no rations, no water (well we don't know if the ocean water is drinkable) and no shelter. Also they took his rifle.
I think the Imperial Scouts will pick him up. They will do a BDA (battle damage assessment) of the target. In that time they will pickup his bio signature and Crosshair will be back with the Empire. Rampart won't punish him because he survived, and returned. Showing loyalty to the Empire. Rampart still will not know what happened. Just that Crosshair made it out. Maybe he will tell Rampart that the Batch died on Kamino, so they don't search for them or he might say they are still out there and will continue to hunt them.
I think Rampart will take Crosshair to Nala se to assess the chip but make it look like a medical check, since she will be the only one familiar with him. At that time I think she will remove his chip and he will work with her. He will realize that Rampart lied to him about the chip being removed and will be part of the Clone Uprising. I'm sure Crosshair will enlist Howzer to lead it.
