after everything that had happened over the last week, the girl just needed to let go. needed to forget everything that had happened. forget gunner showing up, forget damon. at this point ivy had lost all faith in love. there was no point when all she managed to do is get hurt. after finding out that damon and cheryl got married the girl was distraught. she dropped anastasia off with her parents and she just needed to get away. she booked herself a hotel room so she didn’t have to see gunner next door. since he was now her neighbour. the girl didn’t really want to see anyone, she just wanted to forget everything. ivy was going to let go, she got herself dressed into one of her favourite dresses before heading out to the club. she texted her sister letting her know that she was okay before turning her phone on do not disturb.  she was now several drinks in and her favourite song started to play. ivy moved through the crowd onto the dance floor before swaying her hips and the music taking control.

after seven missed calls, jaxson sighed heavily and scrolled through his phone until he found his find my app. with ease he scrolled through the contacts who shared their location with him until he stumbled across ivy’s name. it wasn’t surprising after everything he heard through the grapevine that she was out somewhere, probably drinking… not that it worried him, what worried him was her drinking alone. with that idea in mind, the blond smoothly removed himself from bed, kissed the top of his wife’s head, checked on eleanor in her sleeper, then retreated to his closet. normally he would’ve made half an attempt to give a shit about what he looked like - but tonight wasn’t going to be one of those nights. with as little as jaxson cared about everyone else’s problems… ivy had gone about and beyond of caring about him - even when no one else seemed to. this is what they did for each other, pulled together to work through whatever life threw in their way. so after reluctantly tugging on some jeans and a hoodie - he navigated himself to the club where ivy was. getting to the club or in wasn’t a problem, nor was finding her. but he couldn’t shake his stomach turning when his blue eyes found her on the dance floor. quietly he moved through the crowd and arched a brow as he placed himself in front of her, “hey, i’m sure abba would be real proud of this whole dancing queen act you got goin’ on… but why don’t you come sit with me?”
