Daemon Targaryen arrived at Runestone a week after his daughter's birth with a dragon egg. He reportedly ignored his wife, who was quite grateful to be spared his presence after her labor and instead headed straight for the nursery to inspect his daughter. He scoffed at the babe's dark hair but was appeased by her purple eyes.  Despite her mother’s resistance the dragon egg was placed in Rowan's crib, to be with her as she slept. When it did not hatch after a fortnight the Prince declared that her valyrian blood had been spoiled and left Runestone soon after, never to return nor inquire after his daughter again.

Ok but what THE FUCK did Jason do to rain all over a potential Daella x Tyland match? I need to know!!

Because above all, Tyland is a loyal man and has a bullying older brother.

So Jason, when Daella begins to make her intentions clear who she favors, pretty much pulls Tyland aside and tells him he forbids him from accepting a proposal from her and that he would only bring shame and embarrassment to both their House and House Targaryen. Tyland despite thinking his brother is being a complete fucking idiot, whose pride is going to cost them a powerful union and the benefits they could reap from it, listens.

It messes Daella up, she’s incredibly hurt and embarrassed and never proposes to anyone again.

She wasn’t in love with Tyland, but she did really like him.
