The words are spoken with venom, the knife pressed up to Clint’s neck as he tries desperately to convey a plan.
Natasha looks so calm. Always so calm.
Look at me, her eyes say, as she ignores the baited words.
Finally he does; and sees her blinking in Morse code.
On 3, go left.
She blinks it twice, and he ducks his head to show that he’s understood.
The numbers count down on her hands, and on three, Clint lunges as Natasha shoots.
Clear headshot, blows the man away, his knife, falling to the floor.
Natasha picks it up and inspects then pockets it.
“Lucky I remember rudimentary Morse code,” Clint says hoarsely.
“Lucky is one word for it, I suppose,” Natasha responds, helping Clint off the floor.

The hospital bed is small and creaky as he winces and moves over, opening his arms to invite her to lay with him.
She takes the invite and nestles in.
“I’m not going,” she says quietly.
He feels the tears go through his thin hospital gown.
“I’m not.”

When was the last you cried? 3 days ago, my oldest is off to college soon

Thanks for the tag, @spectralarchers - I needed the procrastination... :P
Are you named after anyone? Nope. My mom thought she'd give me an easy-to-pronounce name. Then, I moved continents... Now I have a German pronounciation, a French one, and multiple bizarre English ones (don't mention the spelling...)
When was the last you cried? Monday night, briefly.
Do you have kids? yes, one. The best one, in fact!
What sports do you play/have you played? cycling and fencing, with brief stints in judo and basketball (see "height" below)
Do you use sarcasm? Who, me? Ha. Never!!!!!
What is the first thing you notice about people? Eyes and smiles. Roots out the creeps and fakes really fast...
What is your eye color? hazel
Scary movies or happy endings? happy endings. Life is scary enough!
Any talents? situational/contextual analysis, reading people and seeing through agendas. Also, cooking.
Where were you born? in a different country and on a different continent than where I live now (I have lived and worked in a total of six, so am a bit of a global nomad).
What are your hobbies? reading about politics and global affairs, writing fanfic, gardening, cooking
Do you have any pets? yes - a most adorable kitty cat.
How tall are you? 158 cms (total failure as an aspiring basketball player)
Favorite subject at school? good lord, that is soooo long ago... Does recess count? Actually, maybe religious studies. Because I declared myself an atheist in Grade 10 and was allowed to skip that class, so my best friend and I would go for coffee. In university, it was "Conflict of Laws" and "United Nations Law".
Dream job? To get paid for commenting on things in actually know stuff about.

“Clint’s starting to wake up and he’s going to ask about her. What do we say?”
Steve’s worry bleeds into his voice.
The hospital is full of hard conversations.
This one, though, Tony would prefer not to have.
“What can we say? That we left her? That her last wish before she got dragged away, was to save him? Get him to safety? How do you think he’s going to react?”
Steve groans.
“Where do you think she is? He’s going to want to know.”
Tony shrugs.
“Maybe London by now? Maybe Paris? I don’t know. Fury has a team on it, I said we’d meet him when Clint…”
“He’s not going to like that.”
“I know.”
The silence between them speaks volumes.
“Tony. What are we going to do?”

This is a project I did for an art class in the beginning of college, It was supposed to be a piece inspired by a song, so I chose one of my favorite ships and one of my favorite songs of the time- the song was ‘All the Rowboats’ by Regina Specter. I found this and wanted to add it online for valentines day but oh well. Its one of my best shading works at that time. I DID use a reference for the pose but couldn’t find it or the source to cite.
