Hey folks of tumblr
I’m doing a research project on the science behind hyperfixation and if/why neurodivergent people (specifically focusing on those with autism and ADHD) might tend to hyperfixate more than neurotypical people. I’d be really grateful if you could answer this poll and spread it around so I could get a large sample size.
How I’m defining things in this survey:
easily: Very little exposure necessary (ex. I met this character/media today and I’m already obsessed) and/or talking about it near non-stop for a significant amount of time
moderate: More exposure necessary (ex. It took a week+ to get obsessed with a character/media) and/or talking about it significantly but you still talk about other things.
difficult: A lot of exposure necessary (ex. It took like a month+ of interacting with this character/media before I began to get obsessed with it) and/or you don’t talk about it much.
(if none of these fit perfectly, just pick whichever is closest to your hyperfixation tendencies. you can clarify in the tags if you desire. any critiques or clarifications will help with my research. thank you!)
please reblog for a larger sample size!

Round 3 poll 2: Honoka Yukishiro from Futari wa Pretty cure vs Dr Elizabeth "mac" Macmillan from Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries
Entry propaganda:
Honoka Yukishiro
- She's the leader of her school's science club - loves doing silly chem experiments - Being a magical girl is a big experiment to her, she doesnt even fear death because its "interesting" - SHE IS SO GAY AND IN LOVE WITH HER BEST FRIEND/PRECURE PARTNER NAGISA OMG PLZ
she’s the president of her school’s science club, will go on scientific tangents that her girlfriend doesn’t understand fully but will still nod along to, and is also a badass magical girl who invented handholding with her girlfriend.
Dr Elizabeth "Mac" Macmillan
Gorgeous and really awesome. She's a doctor and a coroner, but knows enough chemistry to do various other experiments. And yes, she's canonically a lesbian 💕. I love her a lot and my tired 4am head can't do her justice.

Mirai and Riko are married they raised a baby fairy god together and literally brought the magic and no-magic worlds back together though the power of their love alone. Vote for them.
also, they kissed in the manga:
and this is at the end of one of the chapters:
They’re adorable. Vote for them!

Losers Round 3, Match 8: Cure Beauty (Smile Precure) vs. Frozone (The Incredibles)
Cure Beauty Propaganda:
Her 💙
Frozone Propaganda:
he’s a superhero and he freezes things and also says the iconic line of “Where’s mah super suit?!?’
He is a fellow superhero until superheros got banned. He is doing very well for himself in civilian life, but he has his gear at the ready in case he is needed again... or, at least, he tries.
