Y'know maybe I don't hate humanity. Maybe I just hate the maintenance the human body requires, the influence primal instinct has on the modern brain and find human behavior annoying on occasion

This started as a joke on Twitter, and I jokingly asked that I wanted to re-draw this meme.
Somehow a few people actually wanted to see me re-draw this, but with Barda and Scott.
So here I am.
The things I do for my Twitter moots XD

Panels from X-Men, “Global Economics”, Volume 4 (2019, wrt. Jonathan Hickman, art by Leinil Francis Yu with Gerry Alanguilan, color art by Sunny Gho)
This is one of my favorite X-Men selections because it shows a development of Erik’s character that is somewhat unexpected. He’s learned from watching humans wield their power and has seen that the broadest reaching powers are held by those who control the money because they can buy influence, power, and infrastructure. And he will use that to protect the Mutants because, otherwise, the same thing will be used against the Mutants. Again. So violence as an offense becomes unnecessary. Charles, on the other hand, is kind and benevolent and his idealism is admirable, especially in the face of relentless attacks from humans. Hickman’s “Global Economics” is one of the most obvious direct examples of Charles and Erik as the Martin and Malcolm of the Mutant civil rights movement, going so far as including Charles talking about his “dream”. Nevertheless, Erik’s cynical realism makes more sense to me.
