First on the list is this manga that is perfect for Flores de Mayo!

Takamine Ran is mountain top flower in the eyes of everyone around her ---an untouchable smart, sporty and gorgeous student who's out of everyone's league. Little did everyone know that this lone beauty is soft on the inside and just a normal hardworking student, like everybody else. This was first realised by one of her classmates Saeki Akira, who secretly works in a not-so-manly shop. Oshi No Ko Episode 6 : Rants and everything not-so-nice

This episode has touched my heart immensely. I shed a tear for those who found themselves in Akane's situation. I read in a social media post that a mom of a famous celebrity who committed su_cid_ in Japan called for the cancellation of the show. There were allegations that the episode portrays the bullying that led to Hana Kimura's demise.

I think that the show is not about the late celebrity nor any other specific celebrity but rather, about all the celebrities who were and are still victims of bullying.

It has shown what it's like when everything that you've done ---the hard work you've put into your work, the passion you've expressed in what you do, the unseen struggles you have to endure, will go down the drain because of one slip up. Even worse, the people who knew nothing and had the audacity to say they supported you in the past would act as if they had a say in your life.

At this day and age, we use social media to express ourselves but expressing does not have to be at the expense of others' lives. We utter the words 'Just die' as if it was just like a simple 'Good bye'. We are quick to hate, bash and be the unforgiving gods of social media when a celebrity commits a mistake ---be it a silly or a huge one, but is it the right thing to do?

What if they genuinely and sincerely want to change and apologise for what they've done? Please don't take away someone's hope. Please don't push someone to their death.

Some people do not have someone who can save them. You don't have to play the role of Aqua, but be decent enough in expressing your opinions.

There's only one word to describe Oshi no Ko ---intense!

I love it and am looking forward to seeing and feeling the next episode. Heard from a grapevine that it'll be another lengthy (approx 45mins) episode.

Anyhow, to give of background to the story...Hoshino Ai is a young idol in Tokyo who visited a countryside hospital. There she met one of her huge fan ---Dr. Amemiya Gorou. Since Ai came to the hospital in disguise, Gorou wasnt able to recognize her at first. When she removed her cap, that's when Gorou realized he's speaking with his idol ---and she's pregnant?!! On the night of her delivery, Gorou died and was reborn as none other than Ai's son, Hoshino Aqua. Later on, he found out that his twin sister got the same case as him. Ai continued to be an idol while hiding the identity of her twins and years later, she became more famous. However, the entertainment industry is such a messy business and getting involved in it can do harm to some.

What happens when an idol is found out to be 'lying' to her fans? Possible outcome is shown in the anime so watch it for you to know. Hope by writing this, someone will also give the anime a try. Let me know if you find it interesting too 😊

I just started reading this and my heart is breaking as I go thru the pages. I can somehow relate to that feeling when the one you like doesn't see you, harsh on you and keeps his distance because he simply has someone else ---not a gf/bf but just 'someone' in his/her life.

Kusaka Yuusuke is tagged as delinquent in their school and nobody wants to approach him except for the 'nosy' Maki Yukari. Later on, Maki learns that Kusaka is part of a band and starts listening to his songs. Little did she know that her first love is bound to be her first heart break.

Suzume no Tojimari is worth your penny!

I mentioned this in my few social media accounts and would love to share it here too ---this movie is a must see!

So I went to the cinema house last March 8 because the movie premiered here on that day. When I looked at the seat arrangement (while I was booking my ticket), there was only one occupied seat and I was like...why???

Well, this didn't stop me so I chose my usual slot ---in the middle at the topmost row. Bought iced coffee and waffle from the nearby Belgian waffle then entered the cinema like a pro. It was too dark and luckily someone (literally one) was there already.

Before the movie started, I saw around 4 more people who entered so yep there were only 6 fans (incl me).

As expected, the movie is a mixture of:

Great character designs

Some kind of magic

Picture-perfect 'scenes'

And a calamity or bad news that would strike the lives of the characters which then starts the story. Sounds cliché, eh? But if you have been watching Makoto Shinkai's works over the years, you would know that all these things are just part of the 'real' story. Truthfully, I don't really know how to explain but I encourage anime fans to give this a try too.

I love how Sasuke thought about his family in this panel. It seems like whenever he travels, he still looks as if he's still "in the market" and our loyal husbando isn't moved by anyone who hits on him and can proudly say that he's married and has his own daughter. If you are not into age gap series, better drop this. A bit of spoiler, Zachary married Bianca when she was just an 8yr old kid but no, he didn't touch her. He went on a war and became a hero. The story starts when she becomes an adult, and all the romance stuff on the current timeline happened with consent.
