Hey everyone! This is a very important and personal post. I’m currently raising money for my best friend who lives in DC and is a queer BIPOC who is also a disabled veteran and now is facing homelessness.

They were recently put out of their home by abusive family members, forced to surrender their pet cat to a shelter as a result, and have been living out of their car ever since. They had just gotten accepted to an internship program to work in IT and was also about to accept a job in order to move into a new place within the next month. However, due to their new homelessness, this process just became a lot harder and will now take a lot longer.

This is why I made this fundraiser to help them. ALL donations will go directly to my best friend, and I will provide proof of this if requested. As a last resort they can come stay with me for a while, but I live several states (four hours) away and the drive here is long and not ideal for an epileptic like them to do. Plus they’d have to constantly drive back and forth between states for important VA appointments and stuff for their housing and it’s just not realistic in the long term.

Funds will go towards gas, food, medications, motel stays or helping them get set up with the starting pay of rent for a new apartment until their disability check comes in. They only need enough to help them survive until their next paycheck. They are one of the hardest working and kindest souls I’ve ever met. They’ve bailed me out of more financial stress than I can explain in words alone. Please, if you can’t donate, share this link. It breaks my heart to see another BIPOC Vet forced out on the streets.

I need your help!

My elder therapy rabbit is recovering from a sudden battle with near fatal stasis. He has survived, but the vet bills have totaled near $2k and the timing could not have been at a work time.

I was recently diagnosed with osteo-arthritis and the early stages of what look like bone spurs in my knees and hips respectively, and am currently undergoing medical testing and treatment for other health issues as well. I cannot work full time, and it is impossible for me to afford this bill on my own.

Please, if you can donate even a dollar or two, I appreciate it greatly. Every donation helps. And please share! The more visibility this gets, the better a chance that someone may be able to help me! If you need any proof of his vet care as collateral, I can provide it for you as well. I’ve no issue with having complete transparency regarding Stretch’s care! Those who have followed me over the years know how much my rabbits mean to me. They are my therapy pets and have saved my life on more than one occasion.
