ianto jones is not an uwu baby. ianto jones shot his coworker. ianto jones wrestled a pterodactyl in order to land a job with a top secret organization. ianto jones kept a killer robot and her conversion machine in the basement for MONTHS bc she was his girlfriend. then he fucked the guy that killed her after telling the guy he was excited to watch him die.

ianto jones is the ultimate example of 'beware the quiet/sweet ones' he will remember how you like your coffee and then two hours later try to cave your head in for something he may or may not be in the wrong about

Time for some TORCHWOOD! Gwen, Tosh and Owen. God, I love this show. Gwen is an all time favourite character for me

more owen harper script-related observations (aka mostly interesting/important stuff that got cut that i wish hadn't been because it adds so much depth to owen):

there's a scene that was cut from dead man walking where gwen, tosh, and ianto realize that they don't think owen has any family members/loved ones that he'd want notified of his death

the scene where owen throws away everything in his flat in a day in the death originally had him throwing away photos, including himself as a child and one of him and diane

there's a huge amount of the scene between owen and henry in a day in the death that got cut, a lot more owen being compassionate and caring in a bunch of different ways and i'm very sad it was all cut out

there's way more about owen's childhood in the "core memories" segment at the end of adam, just more indication that his childhood was shitty, that his dad left his mum and his mum hated him

all of the scenes where owen is doing doctor-things specifically describe him as being very focused and concentrated on his work

owen is a lot more aggressive/confrontational with jack and a lot more crazy in end of days and i really wish they'd kept that in because it really ramps up the tension before and even after owen kills jack, and then the scene where jack forgives him becomes way more intense as well

something to be said about how the doctor and the tardis have integrated over time to form one cohesive unit. it’s the type of mutualism that slowly binds organisms together, making them as synonymous and inseparable as the bee orchid and its pollinators. even when the tenth doctor wiped his memory in human nature, he dreamed about her. sure, they’ve spent time apart, but they spend it looking for each other. they’re individuals, but they instinctually collaborate to achieve the same purpose. a show about a sad guy getting into a physically and psychologically codependent relationship with his car has never been this good
