I was recently asked if T4T was harder when dating trans femmes or trans mascs.

I said each presented their challenges, but trans mascs were harder to court since you have to spend a lot of time listening to them talk about their polycule and what gym they go to, but snagging a trans femme is usually just a matter of turning on your Sega Dreamcast with the sound all the way up.

cis women go to the bathroom together when in public all the time so that was actually a pretty normal thing she said to you (im cis, speaking from experience)

Big difference between women going to the bathroom together and expecting that a trans woman who finished her transition years ago needs, or frankly wants, bathroom escorts. I am 32 years old.

Most of my adult life has been lived as a woman by now. I can’t speak for all trans women, but I know I speak for many when I say that it gets pretty tiresome when cis women assume we started transitioning at the point that they first met us.

As someone who’s been out as trans for close to a decade, it can be kind of weird to come across over supportive cis people border on infantilization.

A cis woman recently told me to let her know if I needed someone to go to the bathroom with me, a weird thing to say in Los Angeles.

I told her I was a big girl, but that there was one area of femme life where I still felt imposter syndrome.

She smiled and said of course.
