from now on, whenever you see an art style you wish you had, instead of going "oh I WISH I could, I want ALL the art styles and yet I am CONFINED to only ONE, and anyway I am not GOOD enough to do that one!!!", repeat after me: "ooh, I wanna try that later."

like, yes, yearning feels Passionate and Artistic and Emotionally Intense, and by going "I could never do that" you leave the art you love with a kind of Legendary Mystique--as if you are a child watching a magic trick.

but you can also switch your brain to "how did they do that" mode instead and play around with anything you want. you can learn the trick for yourself. and it may seem less dazzling afterwards, but that's the price you pay to make your own magic.

in short, basically, you can do whatever you want forever.

I know no one wants to hear this, but sometimes you just have to do shit that is personally uncomfortable to you. I’m not talking morals or standards or doing what you have to in bad situations, I’m talking shit that inconveniences you. Yes, yes, you owe no one nothing and are not here for consumption and shouldn’t let yourself be walked on and so on and so forth with the affirmations, but sometimes you just have to do shit you don’t want to do. Get up and start the day when you’re feeling like shit, smile and nod along to whatever your senile old auntie at the potluck is telling you even though you were wishing you were anywhere else because it’s polite. Get your sibling the soda out of the fridge even though you’ve just settled down in to do something and they chose the wrong time to bother you. clean the fucking cat litter. manners maketh man. exercise some. be nice when you don’t want to and help people when you don’t want to.  you don’t owe anyone anything but life will never be comfortable all the time and i’d rather force myself to get u[ and get my sibling the fucking soda than not do. it.
