Yes this was Tony’s job and yes Tony had Fey’s on him with his work bag because he had plenty of deliveries but he hadn’t exactly been prepared to sell it to Tad after last The Bathroom Rave of 2021™️ had ended so stupendously. But, well, his job was his job and Tad had seemed to really enjoy it when that whole thing had gone down so what was the harm, really? It wasn’t like Tad was a Magick where the effects were, like, Super Duper Bad or anything!

Roscoe would be glad for a new customer.

“Yeah, how much are we talking?” He raised a brow because, seriously, Tad was usually pretty steady with the kids of orders he put in and Fey’s hadn’t been on the table. He almost wanted to ask what the matter was, what Tad could possibly be drowning out here in his life that only Fey’s could handle…

Almost. 

Tad wasn’t his friend. Tad was barely anything to Tony! What obligations did Tony have if this guy wanted to stumble down this path? None, that’s what. Tad wasn’t a minor so he had no moral qualms…

Right?

Before he could second guess himself again, Tony launched into pricing. It was better this way.

Tad shrugged his shoulders. “Enough to take my mind off things.” Enough to let him surf on land and not ache and ache because Pip broke up with him. Because Pip didn’t want to be with him anymore. He didn’t want to think about Pip anymore. 

He just wanted to vibe again. He wanted to feel like himself again. He wasn’t sure when he’d feel like himself again.

“I’ve got like....” He dumped out the contents of his wallet in front of Tony. “This much. How much is that gonna get me?”

Honestly I think it depends on the situation. With Pip it was with tears and apologies and trying to bargain to save the relationship dsdsgfgds. Ahh with other small things I honestly don't know if he notices all the time that he might need to. He's not the brightest bulb I'll say that. He'll apologize for sad vibes for sure.

A: Who are their exes? Do they still keep in touch?

PIP! -sobs into his cereal- Also the California exes Max who blew his mind a little with her rad skate abilities, and Jeff who was stoned half the time Tad was but who also like...totally stole some of Tad's money. But that's just how it goes right? Tad still talks to Jeff and to Max. They're cool.

M: When’s the last time they talked to their mom? Well he still lives with his mom so..today. Aha.

W: Would they be starstruck if they met a celebrity?

I think it really really depends, because tbh I don't think he'd pay enough attention to notice most celebrities. But if it was like Seth Rogen (aha hi Al) or like yknow someone that he'd have an interest in maybe. Idk even. He might try to vibe with dudes like Seth or pro surfers. Have a friendly chat.

I: In general, are they organized or messy?

lol messy af. He can't find the right pants half the time and wears what's on his floor. It be what it be.

S: How do they tell someone they’re sorry?

C: If they had to pick one sport to play/watch which would it be? I'm picturing Lottie playing a sport and it is actually a bit whimsical to me. I think she would probably pick Soccer and only because she really loves the movie She's the Man and she'd love for an outcome where she could sort of kickass at a sport and make out with a hot guy at the end. lol.

H: Who texts/calls them the most? I think it's a mix between Tiana, brunch babes, and her daddy. Lately I think probably the brunch babes since the whole drama over prom and things is such! hot! gossip!

A: Who are their exes? Do they still keep in touch? Well there was James the football star in high school, Drew the goofy musician in her first year of college, Sam the painter, Troy the dreamboat engineer, and of course the ex who got her into this mess of a vampire situation: Marcus. Lottie does sometimes keep in touch with Drew, and she does keep some tabs on social media on James, just in case he were to become some breakout star (rather than the guy who owns the pub or whatever in New Orleans).

R: When’s the last time they had a birthday party? on her last birthday of course! Each year has to be a blow out celebration! This year she definitely wants to do the same...somehow.

L: How often do they post on their social media accounts? Oh every day of course. Insta, twitter, you name it. Lottie is very active on all accounts.

O: How much have they changed in the past five years? in some ways a lot, because she's literally transformed into another species, but in some ways not at all. She loves love, she's obsessed with boys and romance, and that's kind of been a pretty steady aspect to her personality.

T: How quick are they to cry? It kind of depends on the situation. In general I'd say fairly easy. She is a bit of a drama queen, and each hurt feels like a dagger to the heart (in her words).

E: Are they the happiest they’ve ever been? Nope! Not even a little bit. She's actually quite miserable, but she hides it under all that bubbly energy. Aha. Doesn't want to be a vampire but wants to make the best of it of course. Still wants to find love but hasn't found any. You know the deal. She's a hot mess.

F: Have they ever had a one night stand? Nope! Finn has never slept with anyone before! He's not sure yet about if he wants to. Though if he does he will take it very very slow =]

I: In general, are they organized or messy? I think he's for the most part organized. It might seem messy because he has a lot of things, but you'll find that each thing is placed where it needs to be and where he can easily find it again.

N: Are they clumsy and/or prone to accidents? Yeah he's a little bit clumsy. He likes to blame legs and human things for that sometimes, because if he could just use his tail all the time he wouldn't be stumbling over anything.

(N): And I don't have another answer for clumsiness but it feels wrong not to put the second n here lol.

C: If they had to pick one sport to play/watch which would it be? I think Clarion doesn't care much for human sports or any of that. She likes fairy sports well enough. I think in general she enjoys watching any of those. The scout talents are pretty damn good at those. L: How often do they post on their social media accounts? lol. Infrequently. Not at all. I feel like she has an assistant that handles her social media stuff for court cases. A: Who are their exes? Do they still keep in touch? Her main ex is Lord Milori from another Hollow. They do still keep in touch from time to time, but Clarion hasn't really thought much about him in a long time. Other than that her duty has been to the Hollow. R: When’s the last time they had a birthday party? God I don't know. Probably before she was crowned? Maybe a few years after that, but she quickly figured it wasn't much point since she would live a very long time. I: In general, are they organized or messy? Clarion is incredibly organized with everything. She has to be. She likes to know where everything is placed and in its rightful spot. She also thinks a lawyer needs to be organized in order to do their job correctly so yeah. O: How much have they changed in the past five years? It might not seem like it, but she has changed drastically. Clarion has allowed herself to free up a space in her head and her heart for something she would not have done five years ago. And a lot of that has to do with Atta appearing in the Hollow and becoming her apprentice and all that. N: Are they clumsy and/or prone to accidents? Nah, Clarion isn't clumsy at all. She's a very careful fairy. I just don't see it with her.

Peri was almost persuaded to change her mind, there was only room for one mopey person at this bar. But Peri had to considered how much of a spiral she wanted to go down and risking her bar was not one of them.

“What happened with you?” Peri asked knowing she should be more gentle but honestly, she didn’t have it in her.

Tad sighed, running a hand through his hair. “My boyfriend broke up with me,” he said after a moment, cheeks flushed as he glanced down at his hands.

“I know it sounds dumb but uh...I really thought we’d vibe together forever, yknow?”

Peri narrowed her eyes because she could probably give in. Commiserate a little. But she wasn’t so far gone that she forgot she would regret that in the morning.

“Nope!” Peri stated popping the p. “You might as well just order a few drinks and get the same vibe. It’s really the same but a little slower.” Nope, she didn’t wanna be responsible. Stop making her think about these things.

“Aww...okay,” Tad replied softly, drooping a little in his seat again and asking for wahtever drink he was allowed. It all tasted like sad vibes and misery, but he didn’t really care. 

His tummy hurt and his heart missed Pip a whole lot. He felt all out of place and he didn’t know who he was supposed to be honestly. He’d just pictured himself with his babe forever. 

Was that stupid? Maybe. But everyone knew Tad was stupid anyway. He set his head on his arms and sighed. “I need good vibes.”

Peri looked at the kid beside her, She wasn’t sure when she stopped looking at herself like she was young and exploring the world. Probably when she took over the club and became responsible for so many different people.

But it was just that, that made her narrow her eyes. She only had a couple beers which was enough that she could feel it but it didn’t compromise her decision making.

“Well then you’re out of luck cause I control who gets to drink it, So ha!” Peri stated simply taking the shot that was served her and downing it.

Tad couldn’t help but pout at the lady. Didn’t she see that he was already down in the dumps? “Aww...you’re really gonna kill my vibes more and say no to me dude?” 

His eyes were wide and sad, and admittedly he did feel like the world was kicking him in the tummy. And he couldn’t try some wild cool drink either.

“Pleaaase let me try a little?”

Of all the things on Tony’s mind at the moment he had to admit the relationship statuses of his friends was actually not on that list. It was probably mean, probably too self-centered of himself, but he kinda had to worry about the looming threat of graduation and how to properly prep for his yearly reset/descent into a listless husk for two weeks.

But he was doing a couple extracurricular activities for his “job at the Court” when Tad texted him saying he needed a fix. No big deal! Tony was totally chill with Tad being a client so long as he didn’t get Tony in trouble with that too honest mouth. Tony still didn’t understand why Tad’s vibes didn’t vibe with Tony’s vibes but he’d given up the attempt to make it make sense.

If Pip could put up with it then that was Pip’s problem! Tony wouldn’t even have to worry about that after this year anyway.

So he had his work bag on to meet up with Tad. Immediately he could tell something was off but, well, it wasn’t like he and Tad were friends? Should he ask? Jesus Mary and Joseph, this wasn’t part of the job.

“Hey, what can I do for ya, mate?”

Tad was relieved to see Tony, which was a weird vibe for him. Honestly he always thought there was some weird cosmic energy around Tony, but he could never place it. And honestly? Who cared about vibes right now anyway? Tad didn’t. He’d been flattened by the lovebug, and the lovebug didn’t give a shit about him. 

The boy took a breath and let it out again, pushing thoughts of Pip to the back of his mind. Or tried to anyway. Pip was everywhere he saw really.

“Got any Fey’s?” Tad asked, straight to the point and cold, as if this was a regular business transaction and not what he was asking for. “I need something... weed’s never gonna be enough for this. I need something big.”

Peri was mopey. A mopey Peri usually meant she wanted a drink and a Peri that wanted to drink usually meant she was off the clock. Or well she should be. It was kind of hard to be off the clock when she drank at the place she worked at. But come on, her boyfriend wasn’t even in the country with her and she needed a new headliner for the second time in less than two years.

Smacking her head onto the bar top, Peri let out a small groan. This place was getting too busy for her to be as pouty as she was.

“Okay that’s it, break out the fairy drinks. I wanna party and I’m off the clock. Simple as that!” Peri decreed much too loudly glancing at the person beside her. “Trust me you don’t want Fairy Alcohol unless you want to be knocked on your ass within one shot.”

So Tad’s usual don’t worry be happy mode was broken. Pip dumped him, and no matter what Tad tried that he liked to do...he was just sad. Capital S-A-D Sad. Weed wasn’t doing anything to help his vibes either. Honestly it had betrayed him, getting him carried away and messing up his...Pip’s birthday.

Tad had decided on Pixie’s, figuring he’d try another method to forget about the sad vibes that weren’t going to leave him alone on their own.

He sighed, and the lady who worked the bar was talking about fairy drinks and stuff and he couldn’t help but be interested. “Well maybe I WANT to be knocked on my ass my dude. What about that?”

Tad felt like his vibes were completely shattered. Weed did nothing to get rid of the edge. The nervous upset energy that came after the guy he loved broke up with him. Samwise Theodore Fiske was sad. He was so sad, and he didn’t know how to pull himself out of it. The usual way to push down any uncomfortable or sad feelings wasn’t working.

Sad. 

He had never realized the world could look...gray. Like all the bright fun vibes were ripped from the sky and from his tummy and gone off planet. Tad’s eyes became waterfalls, and his sister even started asking more about what was up in his universe. 

This wasn’t Tad. But Tad hadn’t pictured breaking up with Pip. That wasn’t in his zone. Why would it be? Pip was just...he was amazing. He was perfect. But he also didn’t trust Tad. He didn’t think Tad could be someone he could count on. That made Tad feel smaller than a goldfish.

But Tad needed to push past this. He needed to...he didn’t know how to handle these sad vibes in him. His eyes were still waterfalls, though the flow was now more like a trickle than a steady stream as he made his way out of the house and went out to meet with Tony.

Was this a smart thing? No. Was Tad worried about trying to be smarter in this moment? No. He had tried so hard for months to be right for Pip and to love Pip and be who Pip needed. But he still messed it all up.

He spotted Tony after a long minute, shoving his hands in his pockets and making his way over to him. “Hey,” he said hoarsely, hoping the other would ignore the vibes radiating off of him.

Tad: yeah you know it is fucked up! that you’d act like the vibe was chill and good and it wasn’t really sucks dude! Tad: and i’d fucking try, because i love you more than anything.
