I feel like there's two levels of chronically online. There's like, the variety where you recognize obscure memes and stupid drama and post constantly but have some sort of tether to reality and have friends in the real world and read the news from time to time, and then there's the kind where you genuinely don't realize that your political position or feelings about popular media are not just non-mainstream but actively fringe and that it's not emotional labor to pick people up from the airport.

I cannot put into words how much I Fucking Loathe the fact that when you search something on youtube now it will randomly intersperse blocks of "people also watched" and "for you" into the results. That's not what I searched for, youtube. I typed in a search query because I wanted to see search results, not random unrelated garbage you have placed in my way apparently to either inconvenience me or force me to scroll further for actual results. I despise your wretched little games and every time I see it I can only instantly close the tab as I am overcome with the urge to burn something down.

Yesss I would love to see more lore. Part of me is like THEY SHOUILD GET INTO TCG STUFF AND COMICS AND AND AND but also I should keep my expectations more reasonable for a franchise just starting out. I hope in future updates we do get to see the characters they have fleshed out a little more, and other new characters, a little more world building in terms of like, towns and etc .... The game is in this weird zone of having what I feel like is an empty world, but also at the same time, I'm never running out of stuff to do. It just needs a little more substance! And I think they'll get there, if they play their cards right business-wise.

Another thing I've talked about is that I'd love to be able to interact with pals in more positive ways, bc it really does feel like the sole existence of the pals is fighting+working. I'd love to have other "break time" options for pals, like maybe being able to play catch with them, or tag or hide and seek, or other mini games. Maybe the Lucky attribute makes a pal harder to beat in certain games, idk. Another person made a suggestion I really liked, as in getting to see pals interact with the furniture and props in our bases more, like reading a book off a shelf, or if these props are ever introduced, shooting pool or playing darts or watching a TV lol.

palworld is literally the game that i dreamed about as a kid, when my friends and i would go out on the playground and larp pokemon together, it was literally what palworld is, this game is just ... idk how to explain it!! other than this is culmination of everything i would probably want to put in my Dream Videogame since i was in elementary school.

and i know im far from the only person to feel this way. a youtuber i watched yesterday made a point that really stuck with me. this is so much what everyone has wanted, for the longest time ... in a way, you cant blame people for wanting palworld to succeed so badly, even with the controversy, because the idea of watching the game youve always dreamed of come within your grasp when it was very realistic to never think that it would and then ... have it potentially disappear, or be guilted into not playing it for weird morality politics (the majority of which dont actually matter) is... devastating, tbh.

i have a lot of feelings about palworld and everything around it. even if something happens to it, i am having a good enough time right now and am having my Lifelong Dream Videogame validated so sufficiently right now that it will irreversibly always be a Top Favorite Ever game of mine, easily.
