20-minute Weasel sketch vs 2-day Weasel drawing. There seem to be some diminishing returns here.

It's pretty common for online artists to point out the virtually nonexistent relationship between effort and results, but you know what? I think accepting this fact is part of why I've been able to upload more often recently. I can take shortcuts on things like joke pictures or ask responses, and upload them more frequently in between the nice drawings that get the extra polish.

In 2022, I went on a vacation to Disney World. They were doing a 50th anniversary event, so all the main characters were dressed in these shiny "EARidescent" outfits. I liked the little vests they gave to Chip and Dale, so I decided to draw my weasel in one.

Is this like the most art you ever posted in a full year?

I will take any excuse to make a spreadsheet.

This is kind of a guesstimate (Does a 30-minute doodle count as much as a week-long effort? Do school projects count as art posts?), but I'm certainly on a good pace!

Seriously though, I'm feeling more artistically-motivated this year than anytime I can remember. Say what you will about the obsessive Mienshao asks, but they certainly got the momentum going.
