Stock dove (Columba oenas)

one of my favourite birds!! I had only seen two in my whole life until someone said they'd seen some in the woods near me, and I looked and looked until I saw a little movement high up in a tree. a sweet little dove, shy and scarce compared to most other columbids. I think people could walk the woods regularly without ever seeing one.
