Japan is going all in on Adults Being Gay And In A BL and it makes me so happy. I love high school soft sweet romances and the drama of university but there's something about men with careers and jobs and their own homes and their own spaces and the maturity that comes with times but also the pressure and the pain and the growth and the way it all comes together with adults in love, the ways they can look back at where they are and what they've done and they can see how they're changed.
I’m very into Iwanaga’s whole vibe. He’s an adult man who acts like one. He’s confident, experienced, bold, and honest. He met Miyata again and immediately asked him why tf he bailed on him, and made his interest in trying again known. He’s unbothered about his assistant’s crush because he’s been clear that it’s not happening. He brought Miyata home but waited for him to wake up and sober up before he tried talking to him again and made his move. He’s got an easy sensuality and he’s unashamed about who he is and what he likes. Fantastic character.
Some wants are like daydreams, beyond one's reach. Living only in your fantasies. Wandering if you could, if you should put an end to it once and for all.
Perfect Propose gave me everything I needed. Hiro chose his own well-being and made the decision to be happy. Kai found someone who needs and appreciates him who he can care for without holding back. They both gave each other exactly what they needed, and they are better together. I absolutely believe they'll figure things out and live well. What a great little show, highly recommended!
Yoh gave Pun a cluster of garlic to prove, once again, that he is vampire, and I'm getting offended at this point on Pun's behalf!
Then Pun cut his hair (and magically increased his attractive rating) but kept that damn umbrella OPEN during the car ride.
He is weak vampire, who lives in a Buddhist country, wore braces, and doesn't understand figurative language ("if I go to the sea, I'll need sunscreen").
I greatly enjoyed this week's lesson about sharing and am enjoying these dorky boys, even though one is almost 1,000 years old.
I also love the property manager being a little busy body.
The show is rated a ten for a frighteningly good time!
Get it? Because there is a ten in frighteningly? No. That's okay. Pun wouldn't get it either.
