Sometimes, we must let go and feel the edges of our tears, the tightness of our grip on things that float away from us in rushing motion. Sometimes, we must remember that God is enough, that nothing else can compensate -

I want my heart to heal, to recover, but in order to do so, I must allow me to sojourn the valleys and abysses of pain, the bruises, the irremediable wishes, the nostalgic bittersweet. To stick out in a present of closed doors and a stormy-weather face that experiences clouds and fogs; and sometimes even stormier days, when all seems afloat and shipwreck. It’s part of the process - mending means traveling all the the past roads again, even the bumpy ones; not locking yourself up behind prison walls in order to shut the pain out.

Nothing quite as wonderful as self-made cheese bread and friends who gift you candles. And again I marvel at the way life is like breathing in its ups and downs, how it shifts with the scent of home contained in this simple leavened dough I prepared and the kindness of someone who knows how I fancy the little things, who knows I'll smile, not simply because I love the gift but because gifts are the way I feel most loved, most appreciated, and that I'll remember her every time I look at it... I'm starting to think that we're not even that complicated at all, actually, we only need little to be happy, deep conversations as soul food, delicious nutrients for our body, and people who care. -

Life has this weird way of twisting and turning; feelings especially. Like a meandering road you might go from hope to grief to indifference to despair and that within the time frame of a few weeks and sometimes even only a few hours...
