oh dang this will be fun in my spare time perhaps, and help me use up some fabric pieces that are too small or ill-suited for other things without having to worry too much about designing things from scratch.

A thing I love to do is telling prepper dudes that one of my disaster readiness skills is making stuffed animals. They never get it. Like, my dude, when things get very bad and we're all sharing overcrowded shelters, you're gonna want the power to comfort children. Trust me.

I printed this last night, it's one of Aelith Art's Runway Rodent dolls (a doll that I suggested the name for ☺️).

This doll is his take on Trashion Alley, I also printed an additional faceplate that I modded.

Excited to get them cleaned up and strung. I'll be listing prints of these on my Ko-Fi soon (with the one-part foot). The second photo is from Aelith's product listing for the files.

I printed and will be selling the version compatible with G3 MH clothes (not shoes though because of proportions).

Musical vindication!

So, for the first time in a little while but not the first time ever, I woke up with a song in my head that I heard in my teens, once, and then could never find again because all I remembered was two or three lines from the refrain.

But! For the first time in two and a half decades, give or take, when I typed what little I remembered into a search, it actually turned up the song.

Turns out it's spooky. I give you: the song that has haunted me for more than half my life.

Spindle still lives in my heart and has evolved in my mind now. Now I want her to exist as a fully articulated bjd and I might have to do an art project to make that be a thing. Related: Gonna do some research on where to buy secondhand mannequins and pieces thereof, how they are constructed and from what, and how to modify same. This may or may not ever actually result in Spindle existing outside my heart and mind. But it will certainly keep me amused a while.

You know what yeah this is my favorite frog plague option now.

As it is Passover again, it is time for the annual debate as to whether the frog plague, which thanks to a quirk in the Hebrew, is written as a plague of frog, singular, rather than the plural, plague of frogs, was in fact, as generally imagined, a plague of many frogs, or instead a singular giant Kaiju frog. This is an ancient and venerable argument that actually goes back to the Talmud because this is what the Jewish people are. If we can't argue for fun about this sort of thing, what are we even doing.

In that spirit, I would like to submit a third possibility, which is that in fact it was one perfectly normal sized frog, who was absolutely acing Untitled Frog Game: Ancient Egypt Edition. One particularly obnoxious frog, who through sheer hard work, managed to plague all of Egypt.

My brother's beard goes all the way up the sides of his jaw and i am both excruciatingly jealous and full of tentative hope that maybe if I give it time and ever actually start t or at least banish my ovaries and such, maybe. Just maybe. It is also a nice mediumish red, though he insists it's strawberry blond(The man does not comprehend how hair works). Mine is dark, cool brown with gray bits, like my head hair. That part just pisses me off.

I know SEVERAL afab nonbinary people who, as soon as they came out as nonbinary - immediately began dressing in ridiculous hyper-femme outfits they never would have worn before.  A lot of people see this and say shit like “Theyfab” or say they are only nonbinary for attention.  After all, look how femme they are.

But to me, this makes perfect sense.  When you are forced into the category of “woman” against your will, femininity is a chore.  It’s a job that you have.  As soon as you say no, I’m not a woman, suddenly femininity isn’t your job anymore.  It’s not a requirement.  It’s just a fun hobby you can get into.  Or a little treat sometimes.

Real life example! I am genderfluid with lots of absurd, weird, and otherwise atypical and blended gender states that are hard to explain to people who haven't had them. The important thing about that is, I'm afab, and I've only ever been 'girl' or 'woman' in combination with other things, never by itself. I think I've experienced genuine 'lady' twice or so, and only mildly, and never in isolation. But sometimes I am some guy. Sometimes there is moss in my soul and dirt in the creases of my mind. Sometimes I am wind or seawater or a little creature or a piece of stone or a goddamn mushroom. (These are all the simplest, most pared down descriptions of the associated gender vibe, I do not literally have dirt inside my brain or anything) And all of these things I have been a little, or a lot, blended together or in isolation. And when I'm in a dress, I'm almost never also experiencing womanhood. I'm afab and I wear dresses in a drag way, a larp way, a kid playing dressup way, a little doll made out of a couple of flowers way. I don't wear femininity because I am experiencing femininity. I wear it because I am experiencing theatricality, or play, or maybe camouflage. So yeah, sometimes the gender and the presentation don't match. Sometimes they do. Sometimes there are gonna be mixed signals. Sometimes at 38 years and 10.5 months, a guy who's got the sea in his soul and moss growing on their mind wants to wear a twirly dress for fun. And that's gotta be okay.

Listen there is a world of difference between hate and respect. I respect a goose. I respect every goose. And I respect a goose's personal space. Would really appreciate it if the goose would do the same but here we are, me and multiple geese, and the sandwich I would really like to be eating instead of walking back to the parking lot with. Geese the sandwich is not goose friendly food. You do not need it it could make you sick. Please go eat goose safe meals over there.

Oh, you're such a sweetheart. I hope you're doing alright. I think of you now and again with hope in my heart, but I am a bit shy and don't want to bother people, so I mainly keep it to myself, but I was just thinking a couple of days ago that I should go check in with you soon and let you know you're thought of, so this is perfect.
