My love, I’ve been trying to tell you but you’re too worried to listen to my voice, to listen to your own. I know you see the beauty of this world but you keep it locked in your heart: just for yourself. No one is going to steal it from you, sweetheart. No one will ever make your world ugly if you don’t let them, because it is your world; your eyes, your voice, your presence makes it beautiful. And the world can be a sensual, expressive and creative place if you get to explore what that means to you. Fall in love with who you are and where you are right now, fall in love with your life. Romanticize the coffee or tea to drink in the morning, the path you walk to go to work and come back home. Romanticize the moment you look in the mirror and say “damn is that beautiful person, me?”. Accept your body, the marks that decorate it and the ones that adorn your face too. Express yourself in ways you could only daydream of because I see you when you listen to your favorite song and I see how you shine, there’s no need to hide it.
