i've still got to work out exactly how fen feels about gwynnllwg and seeing it now, undead and totally feral, but. oh BOY is she experiencing emotions

#it's like. it left ynys to bring the sidhe back to aiteall and ynys specifically but in doing so it doomed the people left there #and forced fen and her little clan to abandon their home for the same place gwynnllyg went to #and is trying to take matters into her own hands by delving in the dungeon like it did #and has a relationship with the master's hands like it did #and she's not going in alone like it did. but she's still following uncomfortable close in its footsteps #and that's something she'll have to acknowledge and something colwyn clocked #and she has to go home and tell colwyn gwynnllwg is dead. and she had to put it to rest :( if she even *survives* #she's one of the last powerful druids ynys has the magic is dying #and maybe she CAN find the sidhe in the weeping city and bring them back. if they're even there. or she'll die in the pursuit #and leave people behind with nothing. which. grimace. #but she's fen so she'll take it into her own hands as much as she can. and she's never been one to really like. worship the sidhe #but having this connection to home and a way to like. save her people i think she wants more than anything than to find them in the city #and bring them back or set them free #but how much of All This is she willing to admit to herself i'm not sure #and this is a whole other point but the vibes of gwynnllwg are so awesome... i think that guy is so cool... #GOD i hope fen lives long enough and levels up enough to become a druid who the plants grow and dance around... #i think this is all so so so cool i'm having a delightful time #ch: fen #man. and she wants to know what it did or didn't see in HER #but she can't ask :( maybe all she can do is finish what it started or try as hard as she can to anyway #i think she's mourning gwynnllwg and its place in ynys and what relationship they could've had and what her life could've been like #but also i think she LIKES delving or adventuring at least. when it comes down to it she likes going into the dungeon #but maybe she would've liked sinking vestenmannavnjar ships just as much! #okay NOW i'm going to bed.

the problem with answering this question is that i laugh at so many things all the time... i'm always laughing :sob: will is definitely less giggly than me but when cedar says something particularly sharp but funny she always laughs

16. do they value their appearance?

i think yeah actually! she has pretty carefully cultivated she a look she really likes in her regular human body. she dresses like she does on purpose, she cuts her hair like that on purpose, it gives her a sense of control and it's kind of important to her.

fen is kind of a no gods, no masters guy. she HATES when people exercise control over them just because they can and she hates even more when she has to bite her tongue about it (which is always,)

will:

i think will is in this really weird limbo where the second she was turned she became someone new and older and different. and it's such a turning point in her life. but also she's been desperately trying to catch up on the years she lost and feels like she's young. so it's complicated!

fen:

fen has felt grown up for a long time. she's had a lot of Responsibilities for while. it's probably when she went into training to be a healer.

fen knows it's likely she dies in the weeping city. she's come close, though not as close as max (grimace emoji) or elio. she doesn't know how exactly but probably they run out of oil and are rushed by zombies or the dragon gets them or a fight just doesn't go the right way. she hopes she'll be able to retire from adventuring one day and die of something else but she knows it's far flung. she'll keep going until she can't and then she'll stand back up!

i also think she'll die in the city. i HOPE she dies in the dungeon and the gang doesn't get executed by swampers or something sob

44. what lies do they tell others?

that delving in the dungeon can totally 100% solve her and her bestie's problems and that she's 100% sure she can handle whatever it throws at her. that moving to capital was definitely 100% the right choice.

i don't know if she talks to her party enough to lie to them,

that she can 100% totally handle everything the dungeon throws at her and she's sure this is the right way to gain security and power. that it's okay to work with people she feels crushed by, like the rat king or even the road. that it doesn't hurt when she gets knocked down. that the rain isn't totally totally miserable. that even despite the impending death and the suffering in capital and the Everything Going On that she doesn't feel. powerful and strong and good when she's adventuring

59. what’s an element of their philosophy that you disagree with?

oh INTERESTING, good question. probably that solving a problem and gaining security eventually is worth almost anything in the short term. or that she feels like she needs to have a hand in solving every problem.

i think fen's relationship with uoser is crazy... she really respects him and wants his respect in turn but hates that she had to rely on him to help max instead of being able to handle it herself and she hates that he's sick and she can't help and she's balancing a desire to make things right with him and following through on all her promises she made to her little group and herself and her party whom she likes and trusts and respects and doing the best she can to help people while knowing captial chews you up and forces you to make extremely hard choices where no one wins but she knows as long as she's still standing she has the means to help someone else. and she's angry that he doesn't seem to see any of that in her intentions and is just disappointed in her. headinhands.

#he's literally right that it's bad so many people are in danger from the hatchling but it's not like fen disagrees! #she's MAD at uoser!!! that he would imply she doesn't care about the lives of the people in barlock's rest and has no qualms #with using fabiano as bait #and that she hasn't thought through this situation and isn't aware of how bad it is #but mostly she's mad that he would imply those things AND suggest that the hush ignore the problem alltogether and let the swampers #handle it #if she and her party don't handle the hatchling then who else? who else will die while the swampers search for the hatchling? #who else at barlock's rest would die if the delved with uoser today instead of waiting for the hatchling? #i don't think fen actually cares about the derogatory nature of the term ratcatcher but she IS offended that uoser called her one when #she is only trying to help #fen takes problems into her own hands she can't stand relying on someone else to get something done #she WON'T let this be someone else's problem when she's sure they can handle it tonight. and GOD i hope we fucking finish this thing #fen is in captial putting herself in mortal peril basically every day because she knows she can provide for her little community #she is building her strength and her magic and her connections so she can continue to do so #so one day her little group won't have to live in the stacks and they won't have to rely on favors from more powerful people and groups #and she CARES about people she wants everyone to have as much autonomy and respect that she thinks she deserves #and so anyone assuming she is being careless or thoughtless about lives or that she isn't making the best she can of a bad situation #something she is ALWAYS doing #then she's mad! #i wish i had the exact wording of that conversation so i could read it over again but that was one of those moments where playing fen #was So easy. she's thought this through. she will do whatever she can to save as many people as possible. the situation will end because #she knows she can finish it #and if she's wrong well. grimace emoji! #ch: fen

almost definitely will have more thoughts tomorrow but man. will DID it. she's FREE and maybe even HAPPY but it doesn't really matter because she isn't chained down anymore, metaphorically OR literally!!!!

#i'm SO happy she was the one to kill beowulf i'm so so so so happy the math worked out just right #no one died quinn is okay her parents love her the woods are hers and beowulf is DEAD! #she didn't know she could lead the pack until she killed beowulf and then it just Clicked #there IS something right inside her and she CAN direct it in positive ways #taking your anger and drive and instict and using it IS good and it DOES feel good to lean into those things #as evidenced by her romp in the woods pleading emoji #the description was really beautiful.... hannah is GOOD at this she GETS werewolves #for so long will has been about the tension of self hatred and disgust and fear that her letting Go of all that #at least for this full moon #feels CRAZY she's. it's just such a different way of approaching my guy.. #i'm delighted. #i have been doing so much thinking about this for so Long like a YEAR it's crazy that it's DONE... #i'm gonna cry again i didn't have it in me at all DURING the session sob #this turned out way longer than i expected but last thing #the 'there's a curse comes with a kiss the bite that binds the gift that gives' from wolf like me has ALWAYS been my thesis for where #i wanted will to end up and she EARNED it it really felt earned which i'm so proud of and is because of a perfect setup from hannah 🥺 #it's really cool. #ch: will #WAIT i think she's reached barlights too... wow...
