yes i agree, it’s a nice change up from season 1, it’s definitely a refreshingly different dynamic that’s equally as exciting as the first one
I’ve seen people not liking how innocent Naksu is now. But y’all have got to realise we are seeing Naksu as she would be if she hadn’t seen her father die, been raised as an assassin and forced to live alone in a harsh climate from childhood. She has no memories of the hell she has lived through. So she is innocent and acting that way because she hasn’t seen any horror.
She’ll eventually regain her memories but until she does it makes sense that she is acting the way she is currently. She’s still Naksu/Mudeok, all of her mannerisms and traits are still there. There’s just a layer of innocence that wasn’t there before.
And I dunno about y’all but I love her. Especially when her overly innocent self interacts with our newly dark and brooding Uk. The change in their dynamic is fun and interesting. and I cannot wait to see it develop more.

these are like the perfect ratings for the kdramas
kdramas i've watched and my head-empty-no-thoughts feelings about them
Caution: reviews may make no sense and may contain spoilers (look out for the *)
Here's Part 2 in a different format because my brain is run by a little rat.
Crash Landing On You (4/5): My first kdrama ever. I fell in love with Hyun Bin's face and literally everyone else's acting. Found family trope rocks and this is true forbidden love.
Descendants of the Sun (5/5): I ate up the romanticised military lens because of Song Joon-ki because come on. Beautiful OST, already rewatched.
Tale of the Nine-Tailed (5/5): LEE DONG WOOK ARE YOU THE ONE FOR MEEEEEEEEE
Hotel Del Luna (3.5/5): I mean,,,, IU carried this show on her back and that's literally why I finished it
Goblin (100000/5): 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
My Roommate is a Gumiho (4/5): Hyeri must have terrible backache from carrying this show. really funny even though the circumstances make little sense
Vincenzo (5/5): Song Joon-ki my beloved. The perfect mafia romance if I do say so. And trust me, I've read my share (thanks for ruining a 12 y/o's childhood, Wattpad)
What's Wrong With Secretary Kim (2/5): Literally wanted to punch the ML in the face. 'Twas a very punchable face. The FL? Who's she? No personality.
Business Proposal (5/5): Hilarious, insane chemistry, perfect use of tropes. I just have so many feelings about this one but they all come under one umbrella: love
Our Beloved Summer (4/5): Made me cry so obv high rating
Doom At Your Service (4.25/5): Also made me cry. Also made me simp for Park Bo-young.
The King's Affection (2.5/5): Park Eun-Bin and Rowoon are absolute delights to watch on screen, even more so together. I skipped 4 episodes in the middle and dry sobbed at the extra sweet ending but still. I skipped so many episodes and it made no difference.
Tomorrow (4/5): I really, really wish this show was deeper and longer but I enjoyed it so much! Kim Hee Sun! Rowoon!!! Lee Soo Hyuk!!!!! THIS IS THE EYE CANDY SHOW!!!!!
Something In the Rain (4/5): this show was 97% misery and 3% not misery. Not a single tear was shed but i haven't felt this much heartbreak in a long time.
Hometown Cha Cha Cha (5/5): SO WARM AND SOFT AND SWEET AND REAL I WILL NEVER GET OVER THIS SHOW I WANT TO TATTOO IS TO MY FOREHEAD ❤️😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Alchemy of Souls (5/5): Lee Jae Wook is my new fave and I am nEVER GETTING OVER THAT ENDING. WHERE IS SEASON 2??????????????
Lovestruck in the City (4/5): If the ML were not Ji Chang Wook, this show would be getting a solid three but for my new love, I will give an extra point. The ending was very anticlimactic given how the whole show was set up. But up until episode 14, it was warm and sad and nostalgic. I shed a few tears.
It's Okay Not To Be Okay (4/5): I am in love with Seo Ye-ji!!! Idk why this is labelled as a romantic comedy, it was pretty grounded and sad at times. Not so much funny as endearing and happy.
Extraordinary Attorney Woo (3/5): I was sooo into the first half of the show. The rest just felt disjointed from our characters and blown out of proportion. I'm not sure how good the representation of autism is (despite being autistic myself welp) but I just love Par Eun-bin.
Sh**ting Stars (5/5): A SEVERELY underrated drama that is taken up at least 50 notches thanks to Lee Sung-Kyung and Kim Young-dae. Their chemistry is off the charts and they really elevated the average plot. The side characters were also really great and I didn't want to skip any of their stories.
Hospital Playlist (5/5): If you wish medical dramas focused a little more on the characters and are also a fan of slice-of-life stuff, this is the show for you!!!! These 5 friends made my week and are very warm. The acting is brilliant and their dynamics are great.
The Sound of Magic (3/5): JI CHANG WOOK JI CHANG WOOK JI CHANG WOOK JI CHANG WOOK JI CHANG WOOK JI CHANG WOOK JI CHANG WOOK + Choi Sung-eun!!!!!!!!
Thirty-Nine(3/5): I was not expecting to like this show as much I did. That being said, there is definitely dissonance between the story and the marketing - I watched it with the expectation of three main female leads in a slice-of-life show but I got a show focused on Son Ye-jin's character (not complaining about her though <3). Even that wasn't consistent; the camera would randomly jump to her friend's kinda-boyfriend's wife and confuse the ever living hell out of me. Just,,, needed better pacing, better writing, but the acting was awesome and was enough to keep me occupied.

this is why i love s2 Jang Uk so much. there’s a notable difference, but we as the viewers can understand and empathize with him, and watch him grow as a person and fall in love again ❤️
I’ve decided that the thing that hurts most about s1 Jang Uk vs. s2 Jang Uk is that the sharp, inquisitive, openly spiteful part of him is now so muffled by grief and hopelessness. It’s still there, but he’s been cut down in a very real way, as we saw in the flashback with Park Jin. He was forced to give up on avenging his love, forced to work for the people who were to blame, forced to tame his ambitions and his image to make others more comfortable. He’s bearing this immense power that’s more a millstone than anything, and he’s bearing the knowledge that his lover is dead, and in the cruelest way possible. Not to mention the trauma of dying violently, resurrecting as an all-powerful monster, learning that he was born from rape and sorcery… He’s in a dark place.
And now he has Bu Yeon, who is the open, unbroken, unknowing soul of the woman who trained him, loved him, and murdered him, the woman who gave him purpose and agency for the first time in his life and truly Saw Him. And now she’s doing it all again, and of course he’s falling in love with her again. And that light is coming back into his eyes, the mischief and the cunning and the determination. He came back to life 3 years ago, but now he’s finally living again. Because of her.
