i’ve decided i’ll be making a (s)low activity blog and follow those who are genuinely interested in writing with me. with uni keeping me busy and my training at s/tarbucks (which is super fun but also super challenging) i just don’t have the time to be actively following and trying to keep up with such a fast paced dash and wonder who wants to interact and who doesn’t. i’ll make a separate post about that soon, just wanted to give a heads up for the sudden radio silence.

so i’ve been noticing my motivation to be here and reply to things and engage in plots has been drastically decreasing, and i also noticed it’s mainly because of how easily being dropped as not only a writing partner, but also as a main / ship partner seems to be. i appreciate communication above all. what i don’t appreciate is being dropped like a sack of hot potatoes without a word just because a more active writing partner of a specific muse has popped up. please do not agree to be mains with me if constant ic activity is important to you. and i only make this post because this has become a recurring theme and it’s been ruining my motivation and making me doubt my portrayal a lot. i’m going to be clearing my mains and ships for the most part, aside of those i’ll contact to ask if they’re still interested in being that. i’ll become more selective with picking mains and starting ships. it’s just roleplay as some would say, but i do put a lot of enthusiasm into this hobby and people i consider mains are also people i consider friends and put trust into. roleplay isn’t just some fictional world. it includes real people and i think some tend to forget that we aren’t just writing machines here.

[ CHALLENGE ] : after the receiver teasingly suggests that the sender is a terrible kisser, sender immediately and fervently proves them wrong with a long, passionate kiss that leaves the receiver taking back what they said.

[ LANGUAGE ] : sender begins to speak seductively and fluently with the receiver in another language.

[ CONSTANT ] : after days/weeks/months/years of endless flirting back and forth, sender finally dares the receiver to go beyond flirting and break the tensions between them properly.

tobio does not curl in on himself as easily as he would’ve done in his younger years…      his shoulders stay poised in their straight line,    his glare worn across the soft grip of his features   [   it’s still hard to look at oikawa,  though   –   that’s something he’s never grown out of   ].     as oikawa leans forward,   he leans backwards.     they have an anti - pull:      they seem to tug as far away from each other as they could.      when oikawa shines with mockery,   tobio’s lips purse   –   he knows when he’s being made fun of now.   it sits awkwardly between his ribs,   almost a stab to the lungs.         ‘         why are you watching me so closely to make any kind of comment?           ’        it’s a quiet accusation,   one that lives and dies on his tongue.        ‘        you should be more concerned with yourself.        ’

    ╱   ♡      perhaps  he  should  be  upset.  tobio  questions  his  intentions,  and  oikawa  realizes  now  that  there  was  never  a  clear  distinction  between  them  -  his  own  intentions  were  always  muddled  by  blind  jealousy  for  tobio's  natural  ability  in  something  he  had  to  work  ten  times  as  hard  for;  realizing  only  now  that  the  way  he  has  always  cared  and  watched  his  growth  with  amazement  is  something  he  has  never  expressed  before.  sighing,  the  setter  takes  a  seat  near  him.  “ i’m  perfectly  content  with  my  career,  just  so  you  know.  i’m  watching  you  so  closely  because  that’s  what  i’ve  always  done,  idiot.  who’s  the  one  who  taught  you  what  you  know  now?  you  seem  to  forget. ”  for  the  first  time  in  many  years,  his  tone  is  neither  berating  nor  condescending.  clearly  not  emotional  either.  nonetheless,  truthful.

“Aw hey, you don’t have to give me anything, it’s not like I did you a favor for that…but hey, maybe when I feel less like Mufasa in the stampede scene from The Lion King I’ll think of something.” Perhaps her joke is a bit awkward, and might not land as well as she’d like, but if it distracts and makes them both feel better and for this guy not to feel overly guilty.

She nods at the gratitude, however, but continues to clarify.“No no, I’m just saying. There’s popular and there’s like, you popular you know?I don’t think I’ve ever seen that much of a turn out for someone who wasn’t a rockstar or something. It’s kind of intimidating but mildly fascinating.”

 there  is  something  peculiar  about  this  circumstance  -  he  lives  for  these  times,  when  he  is  showered  with  attention  and  accolades,  something  he  constantly  desires  and  yearns  for.  and  yet,  with  her  doing  exactly  what  he's  been  wanting,  he  feels  slightly  shy,  almost  sheepishly  pushing  his  fingers  to  massage  at  his  neck.  “ now  you’re  just  out  to  flatter  me,  aren’t  you? ”  despite  his  gratitude,  he  responds  with  that  teasing  tone  in  his  voice.

 she's  adorable  and  chatty,  and  it's  not  often  he  finds  someone  who  enjoys  conversing  as  much  as  he  does.  oikawa  smiles,  now  sliding  both  hands  into  the  pockets  of  his  sports  jacket  as  he  makes  a  recommendation,  “ let’s  go  get  milk  bread.  you  should  tell  me  more  about  yourself. ”

  ╱   ♡      he  can  already  see  his  daughter's  sulky  countenance  the  minute  they  enter  the  home  without  any  peanuts  for  her  to  eat,  and  it  is  not  an  image  he  wishes  to  bring  to  reality.  a  quick  glance  at  his  wristwatch  reveals  that  there  are  five  minutes  remaining  till  the  nearest  store  shuts.  “ catch! ”  the  exclamation  is  immediately  followed  by  a  rapid  throw  of  the  grocery  bag  to  his  wife,  certain  that  she  will  catch  it  without  spilling  the  contents.  he's  not  sure  why  she  has  such  exceptional  abilities,  but  he's  learned  to  embrace  them  as  an  integral  part  of  her.  “ i’ll  go  get  them  real  quick.  meet  you  at  home! ”

Tumblr’s at it again with terminating blogs. It’s happened to quite a few people I know. I’m quite certain it’s a bug, and contacting tumblr will get them reinstated. But it is a very stressful moment for a lot of people regardless.

In light of this, I wanted to give some advice: please please please save all your headcanons and important muse info (even your theme) in a google doc or a document you can access with ease that is not affiliated with tumblr. You have worked hard on those. You deserve to know your work isn’t going to waste and in the event your blog does not get reinstated, it’ll be much easier to make a new blog and just re-add the information with little hassle, and you won’t feel like you lost something valuable because you’ll still have access to it.

This has been a small psa.
