i tend to repeat a lot of phrases in writing and irl convos and its annoying cause its so hard to seem genuine to other people when talking. like i feel like im using a soundboard in my head. does that make sense?? and i study how other people reply to different things so i know how to respond to something similar in the future???

#EXACTLY.... #my friends used to tell me I sounded like a minecraft villager when someone spoke to me cause it was just #various hmms huhs ohs! hrms mhms and Im like #I cant just say okay over and over what do I do- #so I also study how people talk in conversations and I think asking for clarification/pointing out something they seem particularly #invested in has worked well 👌 #but also it made me realize how many people say yeah again and again so I think we're all in the same boat

Why in fictional media, that purple is the evil color?

Oh gosh, I don't wanna do the research so take what I say with a grain of salt

My theory based off older memories and forgotten color theory lectures is that purple is the color of wealth

Purple isn't found too easily out in the world and back in the day it was quite costly to make a dye for

So mostly wealthy people had purple

Well, if you portray a rich character in a story they'll be wearing purple to visually show they're rich then! Something something, rich and evil go hand in hand in a lot of tales so! There you have it I think?

But also- due to its rarity purple is the color of magic! Something something, I have a headache and don't wanna do the researchhh

Anyway that's all I've got nonnie! It's something that kinda changed over time

Purple went from rich/magical to being associated with villains

Think Disney; the evil queen and the evil stepmother are standout examples of wearing purple and just so happening to be evil
