A few days had passed and you couldn’t believe it had been almost a week since you moved to this city. You felt like any moment now you were going to wake up and be back in your childhood room. It was all so surreal. Your mother had checked in with you a few times already, and you could tell she was trying to hold herself back from being a helicopter parent. She was worried and you understood that. You couldn’t imagine how she must feel as a single parent with her first child moving out but at least she had your younger brother to hover over now.

You still hadn’t told her about how you were treated at work or any of the drama at your residence and you didn’t plan on telling her any time soon. You knew that if you did, she would beg you to come home immediately. This wasn’t your first run-in with a bully. Growing up in a rough public school, it felt as if there was always an arrow on your back. It all felt like a blur now but all you could remember was your mother being so concerned for you and you didn’t want to awaken that part of her again. An overwhelming need to prove yourself had come over you, not wanting to run home to your mother after the first inconvenience.

Besides, things seemed to be improving. Well, they hadn’t gotten any worse so you figured that was a plus. Jiwan still gave you dirty looks and acted as if you were a nuisance so you hadn’t bothered asking her for help anymore and thankfully, she didn’t say anything to you at all. And your roommates seemed as chipper as ever. Ever since Soomi had left, they seemed much more comfortable at home. Their chatter carried throughout your floor whether they were in the kitchen or hanging out in one of the bedrooms and you somehow didn’t even mind. It was weird how fast you felt yourself warming up to them but you supposed it was the way they treated each other like a family, which they were now seemingly including you in.

Like right now, as Jungkook had practically begged you to join him in his room to play one of his video games. There was no way you could resist those big doe eyes and the way he held your hands so tenderly as he cornered you in the hallway. He was ecstatic when you finally agreed and that was how you ended up sitting on his bed with your back to the wall facing his large computer screen. He had quite the gamer setup, something you were shocked to see due to the small living spaces the residence offered.

He sat cross-legged next to you on the tiny bed, close enough for your legs to brush but you didn’t feel uncomfortable. Something about Jungkook was just so endearing that you felt like he could almost get away with anything. You could tell from the way the others babied him and how much he would turn the puppy dog eyes on you that he was used to getting what he wanted.

“Press these two at the same time if you wanna do a cool combo move.” His knee bumped yours as he leaned over to point at some buttons on your controller. You followed his instructions, causing your character to injure his character. “Ah, noona! I’m on your team!”

“Oops, sorry Kookie.” You smirked, watching in amusement as he focused on getting his player far away from yours. You don’t remember when you started calling him that but now it was hard to stop.

It was nice to get a break from adult life and enjoy some downtime with your new friend. You can’t remember the last time you let loose like this. Ever since you’d graduated high school, the stress of work and life had been set on your shoulders. You two continued to play for a while and you found yourself getting so engrossed in the game that when the door suddenly burst open, you actually jumped in shock.

“Three years ago, the town was rocked by the disappearance of YN YLN. A bright young girl who had dreams of attending university and becoming a nurse. YN was a kind, shy, studious girl who kept to herself and never caused any troubles associated with teens her age. So imagine her loved ones surprised when she disappears one night from bed - never to be seen again. The strangest part was that all her belongings had been taken, all the photos with her disappeared, and all her social media deleted. But perhaps most peculiar was the wet sand found at the foot of her bed.”

Warnings: yandere behaviors, drug use, toxic relationships, near kidnapping.

Late Summer ‘18

“C’mon this isn’t too difficult.” Seokjin chuckled as he desperately tried to stand still even with the waves crashing against his frame. “Easy for you to say, Aquaman.” YN muttered, clinging onto Seokjin’s frame for dear life. The tide was high and she could barely stand on the tips of her toes without the water reaching her neck. Going to the beach today had been an impromptu decision, suggested by Seokjin, the waves were harsh and would remain that way for a couple of days until the nearby storm that loomed passed. “YN, its not much a swim lesson if you’re clinging onto me like a koala.” Though his tone was teasing, Seokjin was anything but annoyed. YN reasoned he probably enjoyed this more than she did, though she was always content just to be near him. Their moments alone were always a respite from the hell that had become her life. Even though it had been weeks since they’d reconnected it felt good to be with Seokjin like this. To trust him like this.

“Okay, I’ll try to float.” YN breathed in deep and tried to relax. Letting go of her human life jacket and spreading out like a starfish. She could feel the warmth of Seokjin’s hands steadying her back even through the cold ocean water. “Try sticking your butt in.” His fingers brushed her lower back, though that could be blamed on the steady flow of the water. “Close your eyes and relax.” She obeyed, focusing on the sound of the ocean and the feel of her body floating among the waves. YN didn’t know how long she remained like that, either a second or a lifetime, time seemed to flow differently when one was reduced to sensory information. This isn’t that bad. The sound of cheering had her opening her eyes and turning her head. Seokjin was standing a few feet away with a large grin on his face. Eyes crinkling with joy. It was contagious. “You did it! See I told you, it’d be easy.” YN put her feet back on the ground and jumped into Seokjin’s arms. “Only because I had an amazing teacher.”

The two of them laughed, as YN’s legs wrapped around Seokjin’s waist and his hands settled on the bottom of her thighs. A sudden wave crashed into them submerging them underwater momentarily when they exited they did so gasping for air. Pressing closer together at the fear of being torn apart. Seokjin’s hands gripped her thighs tightly and YN’s hands latched onto his neck. Both of them panted for air, as their eyes inspected the other face. “Are you alright?” Seokjin whispered, his voice soft. YN nodded, her heart speeding up and though she thought it was the adrenaline, she soon realized it was due to how close Seokjin and her were. So close she could see how the dark chocolate in his iris transitioned into a vantablack. Not to mention the plumpness of his primrose lips.

“Sweetheart?”

“Mm.”

Are they as soft as they look? Seokjin answered by kissing her. At first, the kiss was tender a mere brush of lips, his nose caressing her cheek. Maybe it was the tugging of his hair, or that she didn’t reject him which encouraged Seokjin to kiss YN with a passionate fervor. Their lips smacking together, teeth clashing, biting, and tongues battling for dominance; the two of them becoming lost in each other’s taste. Only pulling apart when the lack of oxygen caused YN to begin to feel dizzy. Even if the thought of separating from Seokjin was horrid, passing out in his arms would be far too embarrassing.

“Would you hate me if I said that was the best kiss of my life?” Seokjin whispered.

YN frowned, “No. Why would I?”

“Because I’d be lying…every kiss from now until forever will the best.”

It felt a little too picturesque when YN was walking back home, her skin still tacky to the touch with the sea salt that peppered it but it didn’t feel uncomfortable. Not with the nice breeze blowing through that made the shining sunlight feel drawn on. Like something out of a Canaletto painting. Not to mention YN was practically skipping on the pavement on her way home, nothing but lightness and the beginnings of love blossoming in her heart after spending time with Seokjin. It was the happiest she had felt in weeks, all of the drama surrounding Minsuh melting away. She could almost pretend that misery didn’t linger just around the corner. Stalking her the way it had for her entire life, taking on different forms to constantly take her by surprise and find new ways to torment her. For the longest time, she had come to expect misery in the form of Minsuh but she failed to realize that it had altered its shape again. Failed to realize that misery loves nothing more than company (though that is something YN would come to learn far too late).

YN stopped dead in her tracks as she spotted the man that stood in her front porch. “Hoseok?” They hadn’t spoken since Yoongi revealed the truth about Minsuh and him. She had blocked him in every way she could. Avoided him hoping he would get the message that she wanted nothing to do with him. “Baby, god I’ve missed you.” Before YN could react to his words, he swept her up in a embrace. Lifting her up until all her balance hanged on the tips of her toes. “What…” are you doing here. In front of me. At my house. Why are you here? The words died on her tongue as Hoseok’s grip tightened around her, constricting to a near bone crushing level. YN attempted to push back against him, but to no avail. Only seconds later, after pressing a kiss to her cheek would Hoseok release her. YN staggered back, intending to put space between them, she opened her mouth but Hoseok interrupted.

“My family is going on vacation tonight, its the annual Jung trip and I wanted to invite you.” The grin on his face, showed off his pearly white teeth but did little to conceal the distraught state of his clothes. The man who so often appeared to be methodical about his styling and appearance lacked sense: clothes wrinkled and thrown on in a haphazard manner, his stance was staggeredly, and his eyes lacked their usual warmth - soulless the way on might expect of a doll. This isn’t Hoseok. Not the one she knew. “Why?” YN asked cautiously. Hoseok’s brows furrowed in confusion, “What do you mean why? I want them to meet my girlfriend.” He spoke as if it was the most obvious thing, “babe are you okay?” As if YN was the cause for concern in this conversation.

“We broke up -”

“No we didn’t.”

His voice was terse, maybe he saw the way she flinced for when he spoke again his voice returned to its usual pitch. “We took a break. I understand that you’re going through things and respect that you need your space. That’s what happened. I’m very understanding of your boundaries and don’t want to infringe upon them so I stayed away but things are good now so there is no need.” YN shook her head furiously, “It wasn’t a break Hoseok. We broke up. You were going behind my back and seeing Minsuh -” Hoseok laughed, more like cackled, as if she had just told the funniest joke in the world. “Your sister is a liar and has always gotten between us. Since day one. Are you seriously going to take her word over mine?!”

“It’s not Minsuh…” Wait what? His words dawned on her. “What do you mean since day one?”

Hoseok’s anger escalated, “C’mon YN I know you’re smarter than that. You know how I’ve felt for a while now. You just didn’t want to act on it because of the age difference and I get that. I respect that, so I waited.”

How long was ‘a while?’ Since her birthday? A couple of months? Since we met? YN wasn’t one to be picky about numbers, believing that life experience and similar attitudes was what mattered but her stomach began to twist and turn at what Hoseok was implying. It doesn’t matter, none of it matters because “We’re done Hoseok. We broke up. I did need space, I do need space but its not temporary. I’m sorry if I didn’t make that clear but I’m making it clear now.” YN’s hands balled to fists at her side as she tried to make herself clear, even if the words did come out harsher than intended.

Hoseok didn’t even bother responding, just walked up to her and grabbed her wrists harshly. Then he began pulling her, to his car, stationed around the corner. “Hoseok, what are you doing?! Let me go!” But despite her please, his grip only tightened as he pulled harsher. YN’s wrist turning red as she desperately tried to use her feet as brakes, but her strength couldn’t compare. “Hoseok stop! Hobi please stop! You’re hurting me!” They were nearing the car now, close enough that YN could see the backdoor was unlocked. Tears welled as YN continued pleading and tried to fight back.

“Stop crying we’re just going to go for a drive and talk things over.”

If there was one thing about Hoseok it was that he was never a good liar.

“My dear is everything okay?” Salvation came in the form of Mrs. Park, her neighbor, standing at the edge of her garden looking directly at the two of them. Her elder eyes wrinkled in a squint, or perhaps glare, as she stared out at the two of them. Hoseok stopped in his tracks and turned to face the old woman. “Everything is fine ma’am. Nothing to worry about.” A kind smile decorating his face, YN wondered if Mrs. Park could see just how fake it looked. “YN dear, you promised to help me bathe Mr. Snuggles. Won’t you come now I’m afraid I’ll be awfully busy later.” YN nodded rapidly, as she sent her neighbor a thankful look. Then looked back at Hoseok, waiting to see how he’d react. Maybe realizing the precarious situation he was in and the fact that Mrs. Park wasn’t going to simply mind her business Hoseok released YN’s wrists and simply got in his car, slamming the doors closed and muttering “stupid bitch” before driving away.

Once his car disappeared from eyesight, YN collapsed to the ground and Mrs. Park returned to her home patting herself on the back for having saved the young girl from a horrific situation. The next morning, when the news of YN’s disappearance spread across the town like wildfire, the old lady wondered if maybe there wasn’t more she could’ve done.

YN’s home seems deserted as she walks in, quickly closing the door, and rushing up the stairs before a harsh rasping on the front door freezes her on the spot. Fear takes over as she wonders if Hoseok returned, if he was back to finish what he started. The knocking intensifies, but YN can’t bring herself to move. To run to the front door and confront him or to run away to her bedroom and lock herself in there, the way a child might hide from monsters. YN remains rooted to the top step of the stairs until somebody shoves her aside. “God don’t you hear the fucking door?!” Minsuh threw an annoyed glance at YN, as she traveled down the stairs and to the front door. “Wait Minsuh don’t!” But Minsuh had already ripped the door open, “What the fuck?” There was no one there, only a yellow envelope placed on the welcome mat. Leaving Minsuh sighing out of frustration and YN out of relief.

“I swear the mail people are idiots.” Minsuh picked up the package and walked back inside, looking it over before finally looking up at YN. “Put it in my room.” She tossed it up to YN who caught it reactionary. Minsuh’s behavior would’ve been puzzling if not for the redness in her eyes that told YN her sister wasn’t all here. No wonder she’s speaking to me. Minsuh’s tilted her head and waved at YN condescendingly, “Are you going to stand there all day?” When YN didn’t respond she rolled her eyes and walked out the door, slamming in shut in a way that had YN jumping back in fear. A reaction which only caused her to want to tear up again.

An intrusive thought made its way into her head as YN glanced at the packet in her hands and then Minsuh’s room. Maybe she could take a page from her sister’s book, after all Minsuh had spoken to her for the first time in weeks. Maybe whatever she had was strong enough that it could calm the anxiety that made her skin feel like static. She took a step towards Minsuh’s room figuring that even if it didn’t help, at the very least it wouldn’t make things worse.

Minsuh’s room was a cluttered mess with clothes everywhere and remnants of substances that seemed straight out of den. But perched on top of her plethora of CD’s on her bedside table was an orange pill bottle without an rx label. Bingo. YN took the bottle and an open water bottle right next to it back to hers, not realizing she was also taking the package with her. She made her way back to her room and locked the door, drawing the curtains shut, but leaving the window a bit open so that it didn’t get too stifling. Then she opened up the bottle took two pills, followed by a swig of the water - which she realized wasn’t water - before choking it down. The effect was immediate and the numbness that spread had YN falling back onto her bed and into a dreamless slumber.

Hours later when she comes to, she feels around the bed for her phone only to stumble upon the envelope. Still muffled by the effects of the pills and having forgotten the packet wasn’t her’s YN rips it open. A polaroid picture as big as her hand falls out along with a pink post-it attached at the front. The handwriting isn’t one YN immediately recognizes and in her half-asleep state it takes her a while to read its contents of which have her ripping the note off and looking at the picture with dread consuming her. It’s her and Seokjin at the beach, their kiss captured, by the camera. It wasn’t an actual polaroid but a copy of one, which meant the original was still out there. YN tore the picture to shreds as she frantically searched for her phone and checking the time. The 7:48 pm sending her into a deeper spiral as she ran out of room, down the stairs, and out the house before breaking into a sprint. All while the pink sticky note lay still on her bed, its message foreboding.

You never struck me as the homewrecker type, wonder what Minsuh will do when she finds out? If she does that is. Meet me at the beach at seven and don’t be late.

43. Delphinium, long oneshot, King Taehyung x queen reader. Soft yandere, angst. Beautiful with, ... again, plot twist.😈

44. In The Pain Of The Roses, long one shot, yandere king Yoongi x princess reader. Beautiful, poetic narrative. Read the tag warning, because it's really dark.

45. Anti Hero, long oneshot, yandere Yoongi x idol reader. Not many yandere story in idol universe, this one is not only one of the few, but also oh so so good.

46. Broken, oneshot. Seokjin x reader. Some dub con borderline to non con. Proceed with caution, because it's quite dark. I read this like a year ago, but everytime I read it again, it never failed to give me a shiver. It's on AO3.

47. Infatuation, series of one-shots. Light reading, darkly entertaining. Always fun to reread. It's on AO3.

48. Cardio, long oneshot. Personal trainer Jungkook x rich wife reader. Infidelity, angst, thriller. Very well written.

49. War Lords, miniseries. Namjoon x Detective reader x Hoseok, both men were crime lords. At first I'm not sure whether to put this story under yandere list, since the MC wasn't exactly forced to be with them. But the element of manipulation and mind games, dubious consensual and heavy bdsm sex scenes had me to put it under yandere instead. Heavy angst, very well written. Totally NSFW! You probably soak your panties in front of your colleagues or classmates if you do read it during work.🤣

50. Deviant Affairs, long one-shot. Jimin was your stepbrother who was crazy in love with you.

51. Motive, long one shot. College AU. Jungkook x reader x another girl. Angst, thriller, love triangle. It's hard to describe the complicated feeling when you read this other than it will keep you on edge dragged by your curiosity before 💣💣 boom! There it go, the plot twist.😂

52. Still With You, one-shot. King Jungkook x servant reader. Soft yandere (for me), nothing much in the tag warning, but very enjoyable.

53. The Mansion, long one-shot. Jimin x another man's wife reader. Very good, give you those old house horror scenes vibe.

54. Énouement, long one-shot. Doctor Taehyung x trophy wife reader. It's a part of interconnected stories with other members. Look at the author's masterlist. This is the one that I like the most.

55. Polarity, miniseries. Yandere Jungkook x reader. Infidelity around bestfriend relationship entangled with twisted obsession. It's really good!♥️

56. Throne of A Sinner, King Jungkook x servant reader, long one shot, open ending. Not sure if there will be continuation. Poetic narrative, quite intense and chilling. Read the warning, very descriptive non consensual sex scene.

57. Knight in Bloody Armor, club owner Hoseok x reader. Ongoing series. Very well written and chilling. It's on AO3, and you need to log in to be able to read it.

58. House of Serpents, ongoing series. OT7 x high class escort reader in organized crime AU. A shitload twisted men with twisted sex flavor. I have no words to say other than it put me on variety of different emotions until its latest chapter, and I have love and hate relationship with all of the men here. Polyamorous dynamic, heavy BDSM vibe. It's very well written on AO3. As always, read the warning.

59. Love Pages, long oneshot. Yandere Jimin x slight yandere reader, inspired by "Death Note".

60. Kill to Kiss You, long oneshot. Jungkook as mob boss x escort reader. I got cold hands and feet reading this. Chilling and put you on edge till the end.

61. Lesson Learnt, miniseries. CEO JK x ex gf reader. My ultimate weakness, BTS members as CEO with power and obsession. This one is pretty dark, read all the warning.
