There was an episode of Gargoyles like this. Elisa, a human, gets trapped with two of the gargoyles on an island of ancient Greek centaur-style half-men-half-animals who all hate humans. It didn't matter who started the fight-she was the reason it started. Strictly speaking he was entirely correct, but he was deciding that his job was to take the easier way of avoiding a wider conflict(appease the would-be angry mob and avoid making them riled up) rather than the right thing (protecting Elisa from the would-be mob because them hating her doesn't change that she has the same rights as they do).

Warning for the upcoming Balatro patch

It's gonna make a good amount of things easier/buffed, but the Sinful Jokers, Steel Joker, and Campfire are all getting nerfed. The four suit jokers are going from +4 to +3(with the Onyx Agate going from +8 to +7 as well), Steel Joker going from 0.25x per steel card to 0.2x, and most tragically of all Campfire going from 0.5x per card sold to 0.25x. So if you wanna go crazy with two of the best mult-multiplying Jokers, now's the time.

So, I recently saw a new CriticalDrinker video about how major gaming studios are actively making female characters uglier out of some collective dea delusion that anything else is "non-inclusive", and honestly? I wrote it off. I assumed that it was him combining a couple big instances of this(Lara Croft was the big one, and I know Tifa in FF7 Remake got something like it as well) with the masses of dumb shit on twitter and assuming that meant this was a wider trend when in fact that's not enough to suppose a connection. Literally the day afterwards I see this, which if you don't know was a stealth-drop update to Pokemon Go that basically ruined the characters. Assuming the account shown in this video isn't some sort of deepfake troll, there apparently really are dea groups out there pushing for this exact thing just like Drinker said. It does suck that this had to happen to a Nintendo series when Nintendo has been one of the relatively few big developers who haven't gone in for the culture war cash grab attempts, but I'd say this still isn't the biggest issue with Pokemon and third-party devs, given that their MOBA is made by a Chinese firm that's legally required under their home country's law to give the Party your data at any time for any reason.

I have several issues with allowing convicted murderers serving life sentences the right to vote like they do in Vermont and Maine, but I think the green states have some problems too. If someone's convicted of corruption or some other political or government-related crime, then yeah they should never be allowed to vote again. But if someone, say, embezzles money, and completes their sentence and is let back out into society, why should they lose a right that they never demonstrated that they would misuse?
