I mean, it is such a character defining moment. Heck, when Fizz comes back from getting kidnapped, Oz tells him to take it easy. After he gets a replacement arm, Fizz is the one who initiates flirtatious advances on Oz. Oz, while reciprocating, does not do anything until he makes sure that that's what Fizz actually wants to do. Those two are dating and Oz still asks him (probably every day) if that's (ie sexy times) something that Fizz really wants. The man literally waits for verbal consent from his lover/boyfriend.

If you really want to get further involved in how "consent is key" is such an integral part of Ozzie's character design. When he tells Fizz that he is never leaving the palace again without an escort, Fizz follows up with, "today, I discovered I hate going outside". Oz replies with "you wont have to, again."

The guy waits for any verbal confirmation before acting. It's no wonder he is so bad at reading contracts. He takes what people say at face value and trusts that they mean what they say.

Lowkey that's probably why Fizz and Oz verbally communicate and their texts are just harmless funny memes and jokes. Communication is important.

Its probably also why Crimson said that Oz is the weakest and most non threatening of the Sins. Thinking about it, I dont think he was talking about strength. He was definitely talking about how Oz is so trusting, supportive and so not what a demon in Hell should be like. I would say kind, but he can roast people without a second thought so...

Anyways, rambling aside, these two have the healthiest relationship out of anyone because they communicate. (M&M would probably be a close second)

I just finnished Helluva Boss & omg i have not seen enough people loving Ozzie & Fizz.

I keep seeing people saying it's badly written, or for some reason acting like their relationship's badly written or unhealthy, or that Ozzie's disrespectful to Fizz somehow??? but Fiz & Ozzie's relationship is really well written & sweet & healthy. (Not that I think every fictional depiction of a relationship needs to be of a healthy happy relationship no matter what, just that like, it baffles me that people act like Ozzie & Fizz don't have a healthy relationship when they so clearly do.)

Also, Ozzie's little mini speech about consent is extremely in character for him & I don't understand for the life of me how people think it sounds forced or out of nowhere when it's coming out of OZZIE's mouth, like, come on, it's Ozzie, he WOULD fucking say that.

Okay. I get your points. I just suck at explaining mine and just often post shit incoherently.

Reading your hashtags. I also just want more of those two and yes. The repercussions of them admitting their relationship especially with Fizz, very publicly quitting. Which, by the way, I am glad he never sold his soul to Mammon. I think Oz will be fine in the long run because while he is the embodiment of Lust. Love does come with lust in a way so he can just rebrand a little. Fizz is in more of a precarious position because he just pissed off a sin and like you said, he is not immortal and can be put in situations like he was with Blitz or worse, be killed. Which would be the only thing that would probably harm Oz because right now these two are so much in love that the heart break would ruin his ability to function as a sin.

Anyways, I need more because, as you said, they are the tamest couple out of everyone and it's just so cute.

I've adopted them and will fight Mammon on their behalf.

Another thing that people seem to like complaining about is the fact that Fizz and Oz gave Blitz, Stolas and Moxxie/Millie, such a hard time in their club about love.

And then their very next appearance is them being the most romantic and cute couple of both the Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel couples. Heck, they even have their own little love song duet.

So. I just want to point out that they only gave Moxxie and Millie a hard time because the club is for lust. Not love. They said it in their song. They weren't against love, its just not what their club represents. Besides. Those two were still keeping their relationship a secret even though legitimately everyone knew.

Like. They weren't subtle. At all.

Now they are still hypocrites. I'm not denying that. But they were only upholding their rules and guidelines for the club, which Moxxie wasn't following. And then when Blitz got involved, of course Fizz is going to harp on him. As a former best friend who spent the last 15 years not knowing why their bestie left and stopped contacting them, especially during something so traumatic as what Fizz went through. Besides, to him, Blitz caused the explosion and without Blitz telling him the truth. He had 15 years to think about the events leading up to the event that caused him to lose his horns and his limbs. Ozzie, I think he was just surprised to see Stolas there in the first place and while in his host mode and backing the love of his life. Picked on Stolas a bit.

I'm not sure if you are agreeing with me or not buuuuutttt...

I only have to say this. After Oz proclaims his love for Fizz after Mammon threatens to out them. The entire crowd (from what I could see) shouted in excitement and several of them said "I knew it!" Or jumped on their phones saying that they were right. Soooo... The majority of demons were aware of something between them. It's not just us "the viewers" who could see them being obvious. Besides, keep in mind, that was just one night at Ozzie's, alot of those demons are probably regulars so they probably could see alot of tension or little moments between the two. See the gif above, anyways, you are right though. They are performers, more Fizzy than Ozzie but they are both professionals and remained professionalism for however many years they've been together so yes, those oblivious demons or those who only visit Ozzie's once in a blue moon, probably would never have noticed anything other than a deadly sin and a "jester demon" (yes, I know he is an imp) working really well together to ensure that everyone has a good time at Ozzie's while following the rules and guidelines that they put in place.

So, I've been watching Hazbin Hotel and Helluva boss. My favorite character from Helluva boss rapidly becoming Fizzarolli. So when I started seeing people saying that Fizz changed so much from season 1. Like you do know you are comparing Fizzarolli to a robot lookalike right?

Like the Fizzbot clown in season 1 is just a lookalike that had some, if not most, of Fizz' thoughts/opinions and personality. So when Fizzbot saw Blitz, the anger and betrayal that Fizz felt when the accident happened, came up and Fizzbot, being a robot. Wasnt designed to control his emotions so he acted on them. Which led to the unhinged robot clown coming out of the fire after Blitz and the amusement park being burned to the ground.

Anyways.

The real Fizzarolli is a performer.

He knows how to control his emotions and only ever let's his guard down around Oz. The only times he can't control his emotions is when he is having a literal panic attack and even then, he still controls it enough until he can be alone. So trust me, those feelings of anger and betrayal he felt towards Blitz are still there. But as a performer and a famous performer at that. He knows better than to get violent. Besides, he uses his words as a weapon rather than resorting to violence.

That's not to say he doesn't resort to violence, it's just not his first choice.

Like when he gets kidnapped along with Blitz, while they were wrestling in the streets because that's how (some, not all) friends fight and make up, he let's Blitz do the majority of the fighting. He resorts to entertaining and distracting them while Blitz works on getting them out. While they were trapped, he did use his words to try to hurt Blitz, like back in the house of Asmodeous. It's his best weapon and he knows Blitz better than most, so he knows what would hurt the most. But he also knows Blitz and he knows that Blitz just kind of laughs it off for the most part and just internalizes the words.

Anyways, getting off track. Like Fizz is deeply traumatized and most of it comes from the accident. Of course he is allowed to be upset, angry, even bitter over what happened and with what followed. But whereas the robot Fizz never grew from the pain and trauma. The real Fizz grew with it and adapted. He uses his prosthetic limbs to better his acts. He found love.

Side note: they are too cute

But that doesn't mean he isn't still traumatized. He has his setbacks, as everyone does with PTSD and/or trauma. He just grew from solely being bitter and angry.

I have no idea if this made any sense. I just got sick of people saying "Fizz changed so much and is that even him?" Like yes. They are both him, it's just the real Fizz isn't going to resort to violence that's fueled by uncontrolled anger. Because the real Fizz can control his anger.

He is still the unhinged clown we all know and love. The real Fizz is allowed to have trauma. A robot Fizz was built for performing and knows nothing of trauma, just the emotions behind it.

You're trying to tell me that this.

Just to highlight the growth from his trauma. He learned sign language at some point during his recovery because he had to and not because of him overcoming his disabilities, he has people that look up to him, despite his robot lookalikes mostly being used for sex. And that is what makes him the happiest. Not his deranged fans. The ones that genuinely like him for him and look up to him.

And the cutest thing ever. Oz calming Fizz down from his panic attack. Fizz using things Oz gave him to calm down. He's just the best and I love him.

I havent read or watched many danmei but these are my favorites.

My absolute favorite has to go to:

TGCF (Tian Guan Ci Fu) otherwise known as Heaven Official's Blessing. I cant wait for the live action, Eternal Faith.

I finally caught up with the official English translations and am not so patiently waiting to read the final volume. I'm not sure how I feel about China's revised form of the series (so much more censored from what I've heard)

But hey, at least I have season 2 coming out in a few days.

My favorite character by the way, is somehow Yin Yu (maybe I just relate to him in so many ways), followed extremely closely by He Xuan.

My next favorite is MDZS (Mo Dao Zu Shi) or Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation. Or the live action: The Untamed.

This series has a special place in my heart and got me through the pandemic, as it did many other people. I've read and watched all the forms of story telling.

My favorite character, much like everyone else's is Wei Wuxian. There is just something about unreliable narrating/story telling that I just love. Besides, who doesnt love reading about a disaster Bisexual?

My next favorite danmei is Zhen Hun or Guardian.

I first watched this live action way before the pandemic and could never find a good or completed english translations online so I promptly left the danmei world until 2020.

Once again, I love the disaster bisexual trope.

This one really surprised me with how much I enjoyed both the live action and the danmei itself. I need an official English translation in book form to add to my collection.

That's about as far as I have gotten into the danmei world. I know there is a lot of really good and really questionable danmei out there to read. But these four are probably never going to leave my favorites list.

I've just read volume one of the official English translations. I quite enjoyed it. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea and I get that. It's quite a triggering read. So if you choose to read it. Use caution.

Apparently this series is also getting a live action, Immortality.

I'll let everyone know how I feel about it once I'm done reading it. I know I've said that before in other blog posts. I have moods, I go through phases, I'm discovering I'm neurodivergent and possibly adhd so I just go with the punches.

Also what is everyone's thoughts on Thousand Autumns? I've had the first volume sitting in my cart for months now.
