After all these years, the app I really really want to exist is still Pokémon for Naturalists.

Seek from iNaturalist is good, if limited, but dammit, I want REAL gamification. I want people to get a serious hit of dopamine from their citizen science. Especially plants.

I want to record sightings of ten different shrubs and BAM you get a Shrubasaur, but he’s not gonna evolve into Oakdaimon until you log fifty species of tree. I want obscure-ass Naturemon that only show up if you’ve successfully logged thirty species of nearly identical lichens. I want to walk into a swamp and find a gamer in hip waders grinding water bug IDs so that he can finally get Belostoman, the Toe-Cutter.

Then ideally I want to be able to battle other naturalists. I want to yell “Sedgizard, I choose you!” and have my opponent stare in mingled awe and horror, because bitch, it took me years to document three hundred native sedges, and NOW IT WILL EAT YOUR FACE.

…I am pretty sure I am not the only person who would be down for this.

Work Description: I am offering a key chain featuring chibi versions of any characters. I am most familiar with the MCU, but I put any universe because I enjoy creating patterns and crafting any version of a character. If you are interested in a character who is not on my list, please contact me. If you provide references, I can probably design a pattern for your character. I use friendship bracelet style macrame to make the key chain. The key chain is made of embroidery thread and has two designs sewn back to back to make a double-sided reversible key chain. Finished with metal ribbon ends and comes with a tassel in a coordinated color and a key ring. Options: symbol related to the character (e.g. Captain America’s shield, Captain Marvel’s star) or chibi version of the character (25×30 squares using a pattern similar to cross stitch). Mix and match symbols and/or characters to create single character, gen, or ship designs. Examples I’ve made before: Hawkeye key chain with a bullseye and a bow and arrow in purple; Stucky key chain with chibi Steve and Bucky; Cartinelli key chain with chibi Peggy and Angie; Iron Man key chain with the arc reactor on both sides; gen Black Panther key chain with Shuri on one side and T'Challa on the other; Daisy/Simmons key chain with chibi characters. If the auction reaches $25, I will add a pride flag bracelet of the winner’s choice. If the auction reaches $50, I will add a silhouette-style SHIELD logo key chain as well! The key chain is shipped in a 4x8 compostable bubble mailer from Thailand. I will provide a tracking number, and I ask that the recipient please split the cost of the shipping with me.

They can be a ship, e.g. Steve and Bucky in whichever universe/outfit you prefer; a gen combo, e.g. a “The Marvels” set with Carol Danvers and Kamala Khan; a single-character set, e.g. a character in and out of superhero gear such as Tony Stark and Iron Man; or anything else you would like! For every $5 after $25, I will add an additional character, so you can get a group set or a whole superhero lineup!

Started a Cap bracelet for my MTH winner! Figured Steve's birthday was the perfect day to start it, especially since it's pretty much impossible to make a Cap themed pattern that doesn't look like an American flag.

I love this pattern, it's just really elegantly designed and easy to make!
