Ok, long story short.

in a sort of roundabout manner you saved my life.

so when I waaaas...... younger. not sure how much younger but it was a while back. I was on a long long trip and started reading some fics and I found yours, Alpha Rats Nest. it struck a particularly strong chord with me, so I looked for the song. I loved it. I listened to the whole album. I listened to so many albums.

The Mountain Goats became my favorite band, and on a really, really bad night the only reason I was ok was because I kept repeating a mountain goats song to myself.

so

...... yeah.

I just wanted to say thank you

🥺🥺 I'm glad you are still here! The Mountain Goats have been my favorite band since I was in middle school and "This Year" definitely became my anthem during my darker times.

I’m on a road trip with @ankkaneito and in San Francisco there’s a little cartoon museum. This drawing and it’s description cracked us up: “The Disney artist ‘Tex’ Henson depicts Mickey Mouse ‘out in the cold’ as Donald Duck enjoys a celebratory dinner with Walt Disney himself. It was around this point in the studio’s history that Donald’s popularity surpassed Mickey’s (1944).”

No 😭 I've been busy with work, my new partner, getting a chronic pain diagnosis, and starting T. I am doing good though! Probably happier than I've been in a long time.

I love tumblr because you’ll see a beautiful poetic text post cross your dash saying something like “when two characters loathe each other but only because they perceive the self in the other, a jagged reflection whose gaze they cannot meet. And then you read the tags your mutual put on it and they’re “#SO true #this is Glomgold and Scrooge McDuck fr🥺” and you have to go about your day and deal with that
